Hmm needle what kind of sleep patterns does your dh have? If mine was up and down like that I'd ask him to sleep on the sofa, I'm incredibly precious about what little sleep I can get. And if she needs to cry so you can sort yourself out it's not a crime. S almost always screams the whole time I'm in the shower but it's got to be done, otherwise I'd stink!

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2010 09:47

I dont even know what time Dylan woke up last night, Ive given up looking at the clock. He woke at 11pm, then it must have been about 3am, he came in our bed, woke at 6 with wind, put him on top of duvet in the middle, DP very angrily said he had fuck all cover (well I AM sorry for feeding our baby and doing ALL the hard work while you get to come home and pull funny faces at him and thats it)

I accidently clonked the remote into Dylan's head last night (not hard) so your not alone!

Got the HV coming at 10 today to weigh him Grin but he's asleep so dont know how its going to work. Dont want to wake him up at all, he doesnt get enough sleep as it is.

memphis83 · 21/10/2010 10:06

morning ladies hope all are ok, thread has moved so fast!
needle wow between H and G the sleep patterns soung crazy, does H get up because G is awake? or is that his usual pattern?
i havent bumped Lyndons head yet, my friend fell asleep once and dropped her baby onto bedroom floor it was a wooden one and it was the thud that woke her up, her daughter is fine and she excels at school so maybe it did her good?!
mlic what sort of business do you think you will do? sounds like a good idea, when L is a bit older i want to train up in a new area but dh thinks im a bit strange for wanting to do it!
I bought a rabbit for tea for tonight ive never had one before but watched a program last week on how we should eat more now im preparing it im toying with the idea of becoming a veggie again!
since i changed Lyndons milk he has been more sick and had the runs for days, he was sleeping through and now hes waking 2-3 times a night which he has never done cant wait to see doc tomorrow!

My HV was supposed to be here at 10, Ive tried ringing her, its only a landline number tho so no luck.

Im supposed to be going out at 12, what should I do?

OpensCryptandRises · 21/10/2010 11:40

DH sorry a bit late but is there a main no for the HVs that you can call to ask for a mobile no for her?

tsc oh you poor old thing. Sorry I did snort a bit at the 7 dwarves! Sounds like you need to chuck a couple of good films on this afternoon and force encourage everyone to snuggle up on the sofa together. Chocolate bribes treats for clara those who aren't keen.

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/10/2010 11:45

I got through to the HV secretary and I said who my HV was and she said "oh shes just come in to the office" WTF? No she was supposed to be at my house nearly 2 hours ago!

She tried to put me through but she wasnt picking her phone up (surprise surprise) so she took my number for the HV to call me back, which she hasnt as yet done.

god, why are HVs nearly always the spawn of the devil?

OpensCryptandRises · 21/10/2010 11:54

note: mine was actually ok but i barely saw her as i didn't need any help - i'm sure the two things are related!

OpensCryptandRises · 21/10/2010 11:56

tsc god that's hard. can't your parents take her?

Hi all! I'm back, after being AWOL for a bit. Confused My time got eaten by organising the naming ceremony, then my DH gave me his cold! I've lost track of the thread a bit, but will do my best to catch up later.

I'm quite lucky that Mindy doesn't seem to have picked up a cold yet, despite me having two since she was born. I've been unlucky with colds this year, I must be on my seventh! I normally only get two or three. At least now I'm not pregnant I can use the nasal sprays again, which work a treat. Grin

I guess I'm also lucky that my HV is lovely. :) She stopped by this morning to talk me through weaning, which I can technically start in less than two weeks time now, if I feel so inclined. Shock However I'll probably hold out for another month or so, then offer Mindy a few bits and pieces to see if she's interested. She watches me eat in fascination now, so I wouldn't be surprised if she takes to it.

Things seem to be going well, as apparently my HV doesn't need to see me/Mindy again until the 8-12 month development checks! (Though I can call for extra appointments or a chat before then if I need to.)

No major head clonk confessions, but I have dropped Mindy onto the changing mat on a hard wooden desk a few times for the last few cms after she squirmed out of my hold. Confused It makes a sickening clunk, but she seems to be ok and mostly just looks a little surprised. DH also accidentally nicked her finger when trimming her nails, but she seems to have survived that one ok too!
