mlic DH keeps suggesting DD drops her 2.5 hr nap at lunchtime Hmm the day he becomes a SAHD he can do what he likes, until then DD is tied in bed popped in her room for a nap :)
Just rang my grandpa and he said 'I've just been reading your facebook updates' oops, that's the last time I use the word 'arse' in my status Blush

Spirael · 22/09/2010 15:05

I'm here, sign me up for this thread! :)

Not much to contribute today, but I was entertained earlier. Went out to Pizza Hut for lunch with a (childfree) friend, my first time eating out since Mindy was born! Upon arrival the enthusiastic staff offered me a high chair for Mindy (who was in the pram) and immediately set out an entertainment pack with a 'make your own' hat for her.

Mindy is 11 weeks old today. Confused

kkfairybrains · 22/09/2010 15:47

Ha ha ha ha spireal!
Thanks ladies i know i should be happier about the pound cos if you look at a pound of meat it is alot and i suppose losing it slowly your more likely to keep it off.
Tsc i HATE when people dont wipe the seat. Dp always does it and its the cause of so many arguments between us, especially when i was pg and waking up in the middle of the nite for a wee, too lazy to turn the light on and would then sit on his wee. Argh it drives me insane!!

Needle · 22/09/2010 15:51

Oh bless! At least they tried to be helpful. Mindy probably has the look of a genius about her.
Went o the doctors today for six week check (only two weeks late!) I really wanted him to have a look at my stitches, but when I got there they'd sent me to the most gorgeous doctor I have ever seen and I couldn't bring myself to ask Confused

MLIC I think he's just a little in shock at loosing his perfect little housewife, and not necessarily getting a proper dinner at night or clean socks. Apparently he feels like I don't love him as much anymore. It hurts, because I thought i was coping really well, but apparently not.

viksam · 22/09/2010 16:21

spireal haha the staff at pizza hut are funny! u lcky thing though, was it buffet?
To those that have had jabs did u give calpol straight away or wait to see if it was necessary?

viksam · 22/09/2010 16:27

needles i didnt see ur post, id hate to have a good looking doc or indeed a male one, i dont blame u for not asking, funny though!
im so with you on the dh thing, i have felt exactly the same, when its all u can do to keep urself sane and the baby fed anything else is a bonus! u are coping well, we all are!

Lol! I asked for a female doctor and the earliest they culd get me in was monday, by which time the baby would be 9 weeks old, which is a little late for a 6 week check.

Feel much better now- I passed a hardware shop on the way home from the doctors, and managed to buy all the stuff for the new house, like a bin and a broom and tea towels. So, leg of lamb in the oven, floor swept, flowers on the table, rubbish in the bin, baby sleeping and... breathe...

who knows, i might even get time to wash before dh gets home.

memphis83 · 22/09/2010 17:23

mlic no didnt meet him on fb, his best friend and me are mates from pub in my village i was from as he worked in village after knowing him a year he set us up thinking we could be perfect for each other, so we started chatting but looked each other up on fb first, think i was worried he had no teeth and a beer gut and he thought i could have a beard and and a beetle bonnet! only problem was at the time the only pic i had on there where i wasnt so pissed i couldnt focus was me blonde!

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/09/2010 17:36

HAHA spirael thats hilarious! Its like the staff are on auto pilot, see a child, get the entertainment pack out!

Ive been to the baby group again today, found out theres ANOTHER one that takes place on Mondays so will go to that too, so that makes a group every other day of the week lol.

Dylans got his jabs on Monday though so not sure if he'll feel that upto it but we shall see Grin

at least you had the presence of mind to waltz and not scurry as I'd have done :) hope your dd2 gets to bed and F goes to sleep so you can chill out this evening!

Needle · 22/09/2010 19:28

DH has just grabbed a load of money and walked out, telling me he'll be back in half an hour and refusing to tell me where he's going.

F*ing Artists. My life is one big cliche.

stac14 · 22/09/2010 20:11

know the feeling tsc, dp came home from work played with lo while i put his dinner out instead of leaving her in chair so i had to wait till he was done so i could eat mine cold fucker

needle i know having a baby takes a bit of getting used to for a man as they are used to having things a certain way but surely he could help you rather than being childish (no offence)

lol spireal think they are taking it too far with customer service, what did you have?

dh wish there was more groups here or us are you enjoying them?

UGHRHRHR!

Bloody stupid sodding flipping ARTISTS! Stupid actors and writers and sodding pretentious idiots.

Husband is home. He went out to collect a picture he wants to hang in the tea house, which is what the cash was for. The air of mysters was a completely unnecessary affectation by sy self indulgent artist husband who is totally acting up like a toddler at the moment. I didn't have a go at him, because it seemed so utterly pointless. If he was to play at cloak and dagger, I may as well let him.

I didn't need to panic really, i probably should have known him better, but I'd had a glass of wine and the baby was crying and in my ridiculously overreactive mind i thought he was leaving me or going to by heroin or something. Yeah. I know. I'm a muppet.
I'm sorry to keep harping on: I've had a really bizarre few days. I think perhaps the baby, the move and everything has started to catch up with me.

Has everyone else had a good day?

Oh God, don't. I bought a pack the week we moved, and after a week of feeling so guilty that I had to go and have a bath after every cigarette, I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. Parenthood is one long guilt trip as it is, without adding to it!

As sad as it sounds, my destress tools at the moment are gin and the Lakeland catalogue. Hubby reckons I'm like a Stepford Wife gone bad.
