oooh, am also highly of your eating babies, roo mostly has only breastmilk these days, which i'm sure is no good for him! i offer food at least 3 times a day tho, mostly refused, he will eat the odd biscuit & can randomly down a whole avocado if he's in the mood....
oddity.
however HV came earlier this week & said he's prob still getting most of his intake from BF & not to worry abt it. roo is still really big, doing all the right things (tried to climb out of the bath tonight, as well as standing up in it & then just letting go, with no heed to the fact that he doesn't actually know HOW to stand by himself!) so i guess no need for concern. i do wonder tho!!

oh no you lot are supposed to be talking me OUT of the Zapp !! Starlover - I think it is a love it or hate it kind of thing. Hmmm.... Roosmum, I think you are right about the height of the triumph and she is slumped and its awful ! I think the sleeping thing would be fine thinking about it cos if she sleeps in the pliko (which is rare) its usually when its really upright and the pliko is rarely reclined. We only recline once she's fallen asleep and I don't think it bothers her one way or another.... Mind you, can't say she's ever fallen asleep in the highchair !! That's quite an impressive feat.

Will go and try them at the weekend and report back ! Although think we need to flog the triumph yet....

Hazellnut · 13/10/2005 22:31

By the way, on the food front, dd doesn't really drink milk so doesn't fill herself up this way so no wonder she has room for food.

roosmum · 13/10/2005 22:37

hazellnut...i spotted a mad pink zapp on ebay earlier, whilst surfing/bf (would die of boredom without the web whilst bf, i've spent that many hours doing it!!). it's totally OTT girly, & you might think it's vile but i bet some people will love it!
hehehe, zapps rock!

startingtobehalloweenylover · 13/10/2005 22:37

roosmum.. in days gone by they didn't used to wean til 9 months! so i am sure roo is just fine. you're obviously making finest quality breastmilk for him so he doesn't need anything else!
Linus really does eat for Britain though. although lately he has taken to spitting, especially lumpy things!

Hazellnut... DO NOT BUY IT! (is that better?)

misdee · 13/10/2005 22:39

i'm really a feb mum, tho am on the march board as dd3 wasdnt due till the 4th march. but i have the zapp as well, and its really good. still using it with the car seat most of the time.

roosmum · 13/10/2005 22:42

starlover/zapphater, roo's taken to throwing things, esp food, keep scraping it off walls (he has an impressive throw IMO!).
yes, as dh tells me i'm a lovely little cow...obviously producing megamilk

(cow jokes still going strong in our house - moody cow, stroppy cow etc etc)

Hazellnut · 13/10/2005 22:42

LALALALALALALA NOT LISTENING Starlover (see didn't really want to be talked out of it !!)... what's your reasons for disliking it ??

Ooh and thanks Misdee, I did a search on products and saw your review of it.

Hazellnut · 13/10/2005 22:43

and roosmum I have shown dh the bit about your dh buying it as a surprise....

startingtobehalloweenylover · 13/10/2005 22:44

Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

do i need to change my name again? lol

reasons for hating it:
Tried pushing on in mothercare and it felt weird
it looks ugly
the seat is odd
no recline

definitely a love/hate thing! like marmite and bumbos!

roosmum · 13/10/2005 22:44

hiya misdee! you should def join us, it's all bright an bouncy here atm.

glad you still like your zapp, & that dd3 doesn't have to hang on without carseat anymore

Hazellnut · 13/10/2005 22:45

I love marmite and bumbos.

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 22:49

it looks ugly

i LIKE it

funny abt pushing it in mothercare, i thought exactly the same abt the micralite, felt like it was gonna tip up...

i would like the zapp to recline, just so i can feel like a better mummy & dutifully recline him when he falls asleep...but then when he falls asleep in highchair??! friend's dd sleeps with legs sticking straight up, looks awful & v. uncomfy but she'd be mad if you moved her!

misdee · 13/10/2005 22:49

its really good in my small little car, i was at a wedding reception in august andgopt a life home with some friends, the carwas fiesta, the girl was umming over wheather it would fit in the boot and was surprised athow smal lit folded up.

startingtobehalloweenylover · 13/10/2005 22:51

i love marmite and hate bumbos!

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 22:51

yeah, 3-wheeler fills my boot but with zapp in it i hear big crashing noises every time i go round a bend & zapp slides madly from one side to other of boot not doing my lovely buggy any good i think.
hehe, it's almost TOO small, now that's different huh?!

misdee · 13/10/2005 22:53

i love marmite and love bumbos.

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 22:55

love marmite, no fixed opinion on bumbo, but if it works for you, whatever!

supersizedroo was already too big for one when i got round to thinking of getting it.

Hazellnut · 13/10/2005 22:55

oooohhhh... I really want one now ...... am not going to be able to look at it sensibly and objectively.... will get one and be back on here saying I want one that reclines or something in a few months...

Right off to bed now - night night all !

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 22:57

hazellnut, if you really want one maybe try it first?? do you know anyone with one that might lend it/let dd try it. or at least do a lap or 2 or mothercare?

then you can join the zapp-owning-clique

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 22:59

misdee, if you're still here did you get a footmuff for your zapp?? i'm wondering abt it...it's 40quid tho, which i think is pricey.

misdee · 13/10/2005 23:00

nah, we use a travel sleeping bag. and havent used the buggy bit much, like i said mainly with the maxi cosi car seat.

startingtobehalloweenylover · 13/10/2005 23:03

roosmum i am totally for matching accessories!

i spent over £40 on footmuff for the i'coo. and £35 for raincover. etc etc etc but it looks so lovely! and the footmuff is AMAZING!

it has to be the absolutely best designed pushchair ever... it has just a trillion cute features and everything you;'d ever want!

roosmoo · 13/10/2005 23:06

me too starlover, but i've spent so much money on this babe it makes me shudder to think of spending more!

but i still WANT one!
(roo will look like a little cosy blue slug in it, as far as i can tell from the pix, that's gotta be worth a laugh!)

startingtobehalloweenylover · 13/10/2005 23:08

oh get it! you're only gonna do this once!
orrrrrrr, if not then the next one will use it!
