hmmm so maybe his plasticine poo's are normal but he just needs to drink more?
am worried that this runny lot (have just had to change yet another nappy) is because of the lack of wheat/gluten but it could be anything i suppose. He did have lentils yesterday which does tend to set him off... but never this bad, or it could be teeth!
i will stick with a it a bit longer and see!

I was going to ask what people do when their db's won't sleep and keep sitting up. I used to sometimes have to leave dd to cry for a little bit before she'd go off, especially during the day. Now though if she's crying she sits herself up so won't go to sleep. I am hoping it is just bad at the moment cos of her stinking cold so is uncomfortable to lie down. Any ideas ?

starlover
leon poos 2/3 times a day and its quite hard and plasticiny, i worry about how much water he drinks, a while ago he was really constipated, prunes are a constant part of his diet now and they work wonders!
does seem to strain a bit sometimes
they are that solid that i pick them out of his nappy & flush them down the loo!
by the way, eats 2 weetabix every morning whatever happens
xx

leisure centre sounds great!

good evening to everyone !!!

gossifer · 17/11/2005 20:31

hazelnut, i'm no help, when leon won't sleep he stands up!!!!!!

well, we sit with him a nd srtroke his head uuntil he sleeps, can take a while!!!

starlover · 17/11/2005 20:33

lol tipex... linus does that too! luckily i can mostly lie him down and he'll go back to sleep.... mostly!

i just went in with some more milk for him and i heard the wailing turn to laughter as he heard me coming down the hallway! little monkey.
he then had half a bottle and started making little snorting noises which made me laugh so he refused bottle so that he could snort at me!

argh! so annoying, yet so so so so sweet!

haven't really figured out the sitting/standing up yet hazellnut... we just keep lying him back down til he gives in and goes to sleep. Luckily i'm in a flat so i don't have far to go each time

apparently in my mums day (when they weaned way earlier) i was eating weetabix when i as 4 months old, and was known to eat more than one.............

starlover · 17/11/2005 20:49

Linus used to eat one... sometimes one and a bit!
it was DEFINITELY making him constipated though!

right will keep on with the lying her back down again - it did work yesterday but today it just seemed to wind her up all the more so I ended up putting her in the buggy facing the wall and that worked !!

Meant to tell you all that this last couple of day's Anna has been kissing us lots !! Its so sweet but she does end up sort of licking us too in the process.... Its the sort of moment though that makes you realise why the sleepless nights are worth it !!

starlover · 17/11/2005 21:13

awww yes Linus does "kisses" which i am not entirely sure are meant to be kisses or not!
it basically involves him pressing his face against you and then opening his mouth and slobbering everywhere! very lovely though

he will NOT be cuddled by anyone though

OP posts:
gossifer · 17/11/2005 21:16

how sweet the kisses!!

leon kind of faceplants, i guess you could call it a kiss if you had a vivid imagination!

i know what you mean about the sleepness nights though, the affection does make it all pale into insignificance......

starlover · 17/11/2005 21:39

oh i have a very vivid imagination!!! lol

do you think it's time to start a new thread? this ones getting quite long now

good plan SL - was thinking this earlier today when I was struggling with getting down to the conversation box thing.....

gossifer · 17/11/2005 21:48

what i forgot to say was he sometimes thinks oooooooh i'll have a bite whilst kissing us!

Hazellnut · 17/11/2005 21:49

ah yes, goss - I had this with my nose today !! She may only have 2 teeth but they're quite painful !!

gossifer · 17/11/2005 21:52

go SL go, name that thread........
