New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AlpinePony · 04/11/2010 10:24

Oh you're right honey, it's "norovirus", not "novovirus" - I thought it sounded rather "hotel chain" like! Grin

Events? Not inviting you anyway - you'll probably still be pregnant!

Yesterday we put his hand on big dog and he grabbed handfuls of fur with a great big smile on his face - dogs are ace. Also had huge big open-mouthed smiles yesterday walking through the park when he felt real wind on his face for the first time* and watched the leaves falling.

*His cot is next to my side of the bed and several times I've been accused of farting in his direction with the duvet off. Blush

CurlyCasper · 04/11/2010 10:43

alps we have had dog grabbing fun too! Squeaks was fascinated with Mutley's velvety ear. Mutley tolerated it very well. Bless.

cheggs sorry missed the noro bit. Poor you. I had it while pregnant and cannot imagine being able to look after twins as well as myself, so well done for surviving. Looking forward to more weaning tales.

OkieCokie · 04/11/2010 13:10

We have antilop and trip trapp. Both excellent. Mini C loves the trip trapp and I reckon he will be still be in it for years to come. Antilop perfect for early days weaning and chucking in car when visiting other gaffs.

Cos the sechs and a bike ride. I am impressed! I also got comment that "it wasn't like waving a flag in the Albert Hall" so that was encouraging.

moo please to text me details of your reflexologist person. I think I will try "stuff" to get things moving next week, although I may start on rasp leaf tea today. I still am in no rush BUT by end of next week I will be trying stuff to avoid induction which is seriously not what I want. My baybee is allowed to come now as reinforcements arrive about 5.30pm today. I met a nice old lady in M&S this morning who needed help scanning a chicken at the self service till. She reckons it will come within the next day or so and she approves of our name choices so all is good with the world. She also tipped me off that the chickens were half price so I got one. It was a nice exchange.

No birf story can put the shits up me so Silv bring it on!

AlpinePony · 04/11/2010 13:21

But why would any man feel this is an appropriate thing to say to a woman? Mind you, it could be a lot worse. There must be some idiot out there who actually informs his partner that she's not as "fitted" as she once was. :( Would be met with DIY circumcision.

okie I don't mind if you queue-jump. I want to read a birth story.

OkieCokie · 04/11/2010 13:30

I was quite reassured with the comment Apls as he followed up by saying it felt no different to before. I was highly concerned that my foo foo was distroyed forever and in fact it was all just fine.

rollerbaby · 04/11/2010 13:40

okes I just texted you her details... if no good, I have some other numbers but she is the business cos she comes to you and has nice comfy chair and afters you can go to sleeps.

OkieCokie · 04/11/2010 13:59

Thanks mooster. I like the idea of getting the kips in after.

SilverSky · 04/11/2010 14:43

Afternoon Gin Wenches!

How goes it? Have I missed much? This is a flying visit as still in the hospital but hope to be home soon.

My boy is boooooootiful. He is snoozing on my lap now and I can't believe he is finally here. Hearing him cry when born was amazing. . Can't wait to go shopping and buy boy clothes!! Seems to be more boys than girls here on the ward.

Birth story to follow when I am on the 'puter as too much to do via the phone. AliPo Since our text exchange things have gone tits up even further. Yes tis possible. All sorted now. I may disclose all on t'other place instead of here.

Need to think of nickname for the baybee for use on here as won't be revealing his real name. Any suggestions?!

AlpinePony · 04/11/2010 14:49

SilverSky · 04/11/2010 15:17

Birth was t'easy bit. Was everything else after. Or do the bits after still officially qualify as part of the birth event? Plz to clarify.

HI haz been the dogs bolllcks throughout. If I had the energy super snogfest for him.

My baybee seems to have no intention of coming out whatsoever, so maybe I will just stay preggers for good.

CurlyCasper · 04/11/2010 17:11

rollerbaby · 05/11/2010 12:53

I've decided to keep mine in my tum tum.

Cosmosis · 05/11/2010 13:06

Grin I decided that too moo, I was going to be preggo for evah and evah. Amen.

OkieCokie · 05/11/2010 13:19

Don't see that wit has announced yet. Just some congrats from friends which although it is nice, is still not "official" news. Wit I am sure you have laid by now so many many congratulations but I reserve my proper congrats until I hear from the horses mouth so to speak.

AlpinePony · 05/11/2010 15:31

Well my first week back at work has been awesome and I got an official promotion this afternoon! Grin

I got knocked back from that job I went for the other week (boo, hiss) - they said they were looking for someone with "global strategy" - their ad didn't say that and I doubt the salary matching the ad would've interested someone of that level... Hmm Tosspots. Like I wanted to spunk 5 euros a day in Starbucks anyway.

rollerbaby · 05/11/2010 15:42

Does anyone know where my baybee is?

okie have also become most popular in last 24 hours. Can't be arsed to keep replying. Let them think what they will. It's putting me more on edge than I need to be.

We've decided to go for sweep on Sunday and hope that kicks things off nicely.

We've also changed our minds on names Confused.

Now where is rots?? I just read her FB post/Daily Mirror Nell McAndrew feeds her 3 year old booby milk article. I mean, I don't have a particular problem with later feeders as such (so long as they're not a school) but Nell quite clearly says she does it for comfort and the boy still sleeps with them every night and her husband doesn't really understand. Is this supposed to be a good thing? Hmmm. Dog aside, I'd like to share my bed with my husband and not my entire family. I don't think it helps kids become independent and learn that some things they have to do themselves. Obviously unless they're ill or something. Anyway that's my post lunch opinion.

CurlyCasper · 05/11/2010 15:55

congrats on promo alpie! Bet that makes the return to work all the better. Good on you.

And honeymonster I think you'll find he's safe and snug in your tum tum. Maybe you and okie will be labour twins?

bit of sleep training here today. chucked her in the cot two hours after first waking and she went off easily for 40 mins. earlier this avo she was put in cot and seven minutes, a screaming fit and a quick pick up, cuddle, put down later she zonked. But only for half an hour. She's feeding dozily again now, and often has a big sleep after the mid afternoon feed, so here's hoping...

BUT I had to feed her at 1am Sad. I thought she would take a bit just to soothe her, but she downed 120ml! I think she was overtired last night, so didn't finish last bottle (9pm). I read an interesting article explaining sleep regression earlier - it made me feel a bit better about it, knowing why I suddenly have a restless baby.

What time did/do the rest of you put 4 month olds to bed? because she naps a lot of the evening I am considering putting her up at 7 pm then doing a feed at 10 or 11, but I'm scared to wake her and cause trouble! It seems easier to just let her doze on the sofa.

rollerbaby · 05/11/2010 15:58

Soz alpy congrats! I did wish u in other place before... Not ignoring you!
