New Fred. Apologies for dullness of title - we need curly for witticisms.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
rollerbaby · 02/11/2010 11:29

Good advice, I will slap her hands away if she tries any fast moves. :)

Bad news on the weeing. I fear for my pelvic floor. Ironically I've done less exercises since maternity leave than previously. oops.

In other news, FUCKING STRETCHMARKS! Yes a light smattering on my underbelly... Mr Moo says they are just veins and nothing to worry about. He is a lovely man.

AlpinePony · 02/11/2010 12:59

silver has laid a BIG boy late last night 8lbs 8oz. In the end she chose the catflap route so her vagina remains in full working order and is as beautiful as it always has been. She is very, very happy! :)

honey Yeh... well just wait until he's seen his "favourite pub burn down" - a few stretchmarks will be the least of his worries! Wink

CurlyCasper · 02/11/2010 13:04

Hurray for silver! Huge congrats from Family Casper. Can't wait to see the wee big mite! Right, Honey, let's turn those cramps into something more productive and see if we can have a baby a day!

Thanks for the update AP.

FannyPriceless · 02/11/2010 14:13

Yay silver!Smile And welcome to the sunroof club!GrinConfused

AlpinePony · 02/11/2010 14:26

There seem to be a large proportion of sunroofs adminstered to hoss gals... Hmm Me, you, boxer, clucky (?), silver ...

OkieCokie · 02/11/2010 14:38

Silver excellent news! He wasn't coming out was he until the sun roof opened! Chuffed to bits for you! Wishing you a speedy recovery and that you get home soon.

Backinthebox · 02/11/2010 16:13

I've had one of each, Clucky's came out the normal way but needed lots of coaxing. It's those horsey pelvic floors - they either don't want to come out at all, or come flying out like a ping-pong ball!

Cosmosis · 02/11/2010 16:52

Yay for news!

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 02/11/2010 17:51

Hooray for SilverBoy!! hope all went ok, speedy recovery. Ps 8lb8 isn't big.....

AlpinePony · 03/11/2010 06:52

I'm guessing we also have a twitty girl by now too! :) Those of you with girls are going to have to be very careful with all these little boys around!

VAG It might not be big from your POV, but don't forget - curly and I had tiddlers under 6lbs! Grin

boxer She says she'll be on in the next couple of days to give us the birth story but said that her body did not want to "play" induction.

OkieCokie · 03/11/2010 20:31

Tis veh veh quiet around these parts, are you all doing baby shiz?

Backinthebox · 03/11/2010 20:46

I'm sitting here waiting for people to lay babies. < Stares hard at Okie >

I'm also searching t'internet frantically for a horse I know I can't buy for at least a couple more months. I am fancying the look of the one on HorseQuest on the show cob page with the heading 'Life size teddy bear.' I keep going back for a look. Needs hogging, obviously! And a bit young. And has never been hunting. But looks a real sweety. Somebody stop me! Have also been offered a horse for free by a friend, but I would have to pop up to Glasgow to collect it. Probably a good job it's so far away, as I'd have it in my stable too before you could blink.

DS has his first jabs tomorrow. Wonder how it's going to go. He is not as easy to comfort by the shoving of a boob in his mouth as DD was. If he decides it's the end of the world I am not sure how I will calm him down.

OkieCokie · 03/11/2010 20:49

Box I would say step away from the ebay for horses but I know nothing about it..

cheggers · 03/11/2010 21:28

and i had one less than 5lbs alps

yo okes. we are busy doing the baby shiz here. after a slow start due to a family bout of noravirus (not ver. pleasant) we are back having a crack at BLW.

not being very organised about it though. have neither Bumbo, Tripp Trapp or Antilop as yet - so just making an almighty mess on the floor.

when they do not look like they are choking to death it really very funny Grin

high chair wisdom from any the old timers mucho appreciated ....

also. massive congrats to silver. look forward to seeing you in the spa for debrief. huzzah!

Backinthebox · 03/11/2010 21:29

Antilop - don't waste your money on anything else!

FannyPriceless · 03/11/2010 21:37

box I've had a look at your teddy bear and decided I'm going to fight you for him.Grin

I had a lovely visit today from cossie who entertained Clyde while I got some sorting done.Smile Still freaking out at how much there is to do though. La la la...

Backinthebox · 03/11/2010 22:13

FP it's from IKEA, and has no crevices at all - a much overlooked essential when feeding babies, unless you are one of these who wipe the baby's mouth after every spoonful!

CluckyKate · 03/11/2010 22:56

We didn't bovver with high-chair shiz - just bought a booster seat with tray to fit to any old dining-chair which did the business as well as any la-de-dah highchair.
Not as cheap as the antilop tho but will last 'til she's big enough to sit at the table in a normal chair.

Box - step away from the horse-porn [wags finger]

CurlyCasper · 04/11/2010 08:07

can you attach a 5-point harness to the Antilop? We fear Squeaks might take after her dad and be able to extract herself head first on to the floor! She's already trying to launch herself out of the bumbo.

Did anyone else notice that it was The End of the World at about 4.30am? I had to do the first night feed in two months to stop the screaming, which I don't think was actually hunger related. And us girls ended up in a different bed in a different room. She is happy as Larry now though. But not very hungry, surprisingly enough Wink

This after she downed two bottles in one and a half hours last night! Maybe it was a sore tummy problem...

AlpinePony · 04/11/2010 08:17

Best advice I've been given on weaning is to have a dog for cleaning duties. Grin

He's now watching Scooby Doo - either it's a classic or I'm a slummymummy.

No "end of the world" here curly, but I do have to put in a bit of work to make up this hour as he's been waking at 3:30 rather than 4:30.

cheggers family novovirus sounds awful. :(

silver's story I think will be quite meaty - and scare the PESHes hehe. Grin

Cosmosis · 04/11/2010 08:45

FP I just hope I was of some help. Clyde is such a gorgeous little smiler, but I still cannot believe that Artie will ever be that size!

We have first jabs at 2pm, nervous :(

Cheggers arses to the virus, that sounds grim beyond belief.

curls I can report it was very windy and rainy here at 4.30ish.

In Other News, I am planning a bike ride this weekend. We probably have enough milk for around a 3 hour escape, so the important question is; Mountain or Road? (actually think I don't have a choice as road bike needs some maintenance).

Oh and we did The Secks last night for the first time. It didn't hurt, and apparently I am not a wizards sleeve, so that's all good Grin

AlpinePony · 04/11/2010 08:50

Shock cossie Grin So you're back in the saddle in more ways than one!

Jabs should be fine - for some reason though the second one seems to turn them purple - but with any luck, lots of cuddles and nice warm milk all will be forgotten about. Each and every time, Bear's been asleep before the car is home and it's only a 10 minute drive.

Cosmosis · 04/11/2010 08:59

thanks for the reassurance Grin

rollerbaby · 04/11/2010 09:55

Sechs AND bike ride . When did you have that baybee again?????

cheggers noravirus sounds shite. Sick bags and industrial amounts of lucozade to you. xx

We will have to buy a chair of some description when the time comes, as we have two very long benches in our kitchen. I don't think you can tie baybees to benches in this day and age? The dog will come in v v v useful.

No baybee yet. I am so hot in the night though - I keep waking up SWEATING. I thought that happened after the birf?

I'm not reading any birth stories until the other side. Mrs Reflexologist is coming to my house in an hour. Better go.

rollerbaby · 04/11/2010 09:57

Er and Alpy, we have "events" to discuss non?
