Oh god i'm gonna have to find a new twitter account now I deactivated the other one: I'm laughing to much at my own jokes.

DavidHameron · 08/05/2010 15:03

They're shouting 'we want to speak to Nick'

Beachcomber · 08/05/2010 15:03

True France is a classless socialist republic (mostly) thanks to the Revolution.

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:03

oh well there you go, I'm talking out of my arse again

Dunno. Ooh someone coming out from LDHQ...

Nymphadora · 08/05/2010 15:07

On my phone so may have missed bits.

GB can't resign or the Tories get in right? And if he wanted to the Queen has to be involved? And for Ham to take charge the Queen has to agree? So is she stillhiding away?

Not saying there is no divide but it is nothing like that of the UK. DH has a hard time identifying British toffs as toffs for example. He often thinks they are poor as they have that shabby thing going on sometimes.

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:09

Twitter peeps reporting that Brown has left No 10 and is heading for Scotland - possibly for a resignation speech...

DavidHameron · 08/05/2010 15:09

Oooh Billy Bragg is there.

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:11

resignation as leader of the LP that would be, not as PM (I think... )

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:14

I do love a good demo, esp. if I'm sitting on my sofa with a cup of tea watching it on the telly

Will Straw has done well for a dopehead, hasn't he?

PMSL at demonstrator holding a John Lewis bag in the same hand as the megaphone!!!

MrJustAbout · 08/05/2010 15:19

If there's to be a liblab coalition, I just can't see it happening with Brown.

I do believe the telephone story, as its consistent with the condescending shit that he's pulled frequently with Clegg. Given that they have to work very well together if a stable coalition is to emerge, the labour party has a choice:

stay with Gordoin and agitate for a new election in which the lib dems get oliterated

stay with Gordon and watch the great leap backwards with

replace Gordon immediately and form the core of a coalition

These options won't last long - especially if they continue to be rude to the leaders of all their prospective partners. I couldn't believe the public rudeness towards Alex Salmond this afternoon. Really dumb

BecauseIAgreeWithGordon · 08/05/2010 15:19

... and I'm so glad I don't live next door to Mr Cameron - look, they've stopped anyone from parking outside their own houses!

Ninjacat · 08/05/2010 15:20

Lib Dem head office 020 7222 7999. Just ask for Nick.

DavidHameron · 08/05/2010 15:21

Actually I take it back, they're not beardy lentil weavers; they're all 12

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:21

Apparently Billy Bragg has been saying 'this time next week, David Miliband will be PM'

DavidHameron · 08/05/2010 15:23

Yeah he did on TV: Laura Kuenssberg nearly fell over.

Beachcomber · 08/05/2010 15:24

You are right policywonk the Pariseien elte thing does exist - it is however a relatively small pocket in a big society which is mostly undefined by class.

policywonk · 08/05/2010 15:24

lol ninja

Were they rude to Salmon this afternoon, MrJusta? Missed that - heard that Salmon called for a progressive coalition - what happened next? (As David Coleman used to say)
