Thanks Nymphardora. Just checking in.

nearlytoolate · 07/05/2010 12:04

No it was reasonably accurate - over estimated tory and under estimated labour I think.

Beachcomber · 07/05/2010 12:04

Excellent title

jennylindinha · 07/05/2010 12:05

Well done Nymphadora. Can't believe how many threads there have been. Fab.

So what, if the Tories cannot form a goverment, is the best outcome for now?

Labour will HAVE to form a coalition with the lib dems to take power?

What if the tories can't form a goverment and then lib dems will not join labour?

leavingonajetplane · 07/05/2010 12:06

Thanks for new thread.

Gordon and Dave need to slug it out on the back lawn and the winner gets Nick.

VoteRedLentil · 07/05/2010 12:06

There are children being neglected here. I blame Sue.

Not entirely sure we are depressed anymore though. Most people are enjoying the uncertainty even if we all wanted a left Govt

I'm very stressed by this whole thing. Sad because the seat I'm in has fallen to the tories

FacePalm · 07/05/2010 12:08

"Indeed, it seems Hameron is not the tory messiah, he's a very naughty boy "

I Like that

Well, it is getting interesting now...Clegg has been clever, and as is becoming apparent, the Tories are not going to be up for any sort of reform....squabbling amongst themselves...think they expected and wanted a landslide victory!

jennylindinha · 07/05/2010 12:10

I do feel lucky to be in a safe Labour seat right now. Sympathies to those of you who are now in blue terriTory...

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 07/05/2010 12:10

Argh. Friend phoned so no snooze.

Who is the guy on BBC, David someone reporting from the count. His accent is so uppercrust I keep thinking he is saying "cunt"

"Farage will certainly not be able to get to the cunt"

LOL

Sorry, easily amused. Blame it on lack of sleep. Heating up pizza.

Heathcliffscathy · 07/05/2010 12:10

cheltenham seems like it will stay libdem...result not in until 1pm tho

Laugs · 07/05/2010 12:11

Hmm, I am starting to get quite cross at the prospect of a Lib-Con pact. If I had voted Lib Dem, I think that would be quite clearly a vote for centre-left progressive policies. To take those votes and potentially 'pass them on' to the Tories would seem incredibly unjust.

Anyway, baby is asleep so I'm off to bed. Will be watching Ham Cameron at 2.30 with interest.

(On a side note, I hope Sam Cameron hasn't been up all night too)

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2010 12:11

We have Lib Dem again here, much better than Tory but I really, really do not like our LD Mp.

jennylindinha · 07/05/2010 12:11

Mmm, pizza... Wish I had some in. Have had to settle for a bread roll. Not the same.

BecauseIAgreeWithGordon · 07/05/2010 12:12

Morning all!

Not quite so depressed as last night/early this morning, and very glad there will be no Tory smuggery.

I'm very impressed that some of you managed to stay awake for the whole thing!

And loved it when the BBC interviewer said to Boris "don't you have a city to run?"!

Welcome to our newbie DavidHameron

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2010 12:12

I'm going to be in Morrisons at 2:30, argh!

tacticalfloosy · 07/05/2010 12:12

Having conked at 2am I missed my constituency turning Tory. I blame myself for not campaigning. Aaaaaaargh! Less than 200 votes!

I can't believe we've handed Evan Harris his cards for this woman. Well, I will be scrutinising her every move, which is one positive thing from the last few years - I have finally learned that MPs can't be left to their own devices.

Bright spots for me, CL in Brighton, increased majority for GB, absolutely no extreme right-wingers for DC to make a deal with. And also, being so very wrong about an absolute Tory maj of 30 seats which I was 90% sure of

Right, time to get cracking. We're all going to need our wits about us in the days ahead. Thanks for your company all.
