How do they know it wasn't fall ? a bad fall and bang to the head would produce a lot of blood .

Personally I like snapping a Kit Kat in half the wrong way.

😮 Heathen!

I think the police know when foul play is involved!

Wiseplumnet · 11/07/2026 18:08

I think I would carry and use pepper spray and take the legal consequences, can't be worse than been injured or killed.

AllTheTreesOfTheField · 11/07/2026 18:10

@JoshLymanSwagger is clearly a wrong 'un, with flagrant and blatant displays of disregarding KitKat etiquette.

Well most people are murdered by someone they know but that isn’t always the case. If they are now following the theory that it WAS related to her politics (to be clear they have not said that) then it would follow there is no risk to the neighbours and local community.

She apparently last sent a message to tv production on Weds at 12.19. She was supposed to join a Zoom call prior to an appearance on the show but when they asked her to join at 12.48 there was no reply. That’s a narrow window which will hopefully help the police.

Supposed to be on Matt Alwright’s show on a video call at 1pm. She did a video interview on Talk tv around 8am.

Also police must have got the video doorbell evidence, From the photos of the forensics team attending her home- there is one there

I bet Clive would agree with you there too!

Snooks1971 · 11/07/2026 18:14

I’m now wondering where Clive stands on the carrying and use of pepper spray.

We dont know anything about what state her house aka the crime scene was in. We don't know how many times she was hit and with what. Also the fact that the police aren't regularly treating the deaths of pensioners from falls as murder hopefully means that they can spot the difference.

GallopingConsumption · 11/07/2026 18:16

I absolutely KNOW that the Tattle lot will use "I've just had a lengthy conversation with my husband, Clive" as their next thread title!

dapsnotplimsolls · 11/07/2026 18:18

Police not releasing cctv footage or a description of the suspect for 'operational reasons'.

Wait until I tell you what I do with the 4-finger ones in the fridge
<mwah ha ha>

Anyway, all joking aside...

To Ann,
I think you and I would have got on really well, and would have argued until both of us were blue in the face over many things. that we fundamentally disagree on.
But I love a good argument, and I suspect you did too.
The manner of your death is tragic.
Nobody deserves that.
Nobody.

RIP

I'm wondering if they're pretty sure who it is but haven't located him yet.

Might be a female perpetrator. Who knows?

It is horrific the way she died. Brings home how vulnerable some people are in their own homes in broad daylight.

I'm wondering if they're pretty sure who it is but haven't located him yet.

That's what I wondered too, because they asked for any security footage but won't provide a description of the suspect for people to check if they've got any footage of the right person.

Maybe someone or Clive who has experience with police procedures will tell us.

Farage has said a car was seen going up the drive 5 mins before she's thought to have been killed.

He needs to stay out of it.

The police will release enough information to help with their enquiries but also not scupper the investigation.

He could be spreading either false information or information that could negatively impact the case.

I am not involved in the case and do not know her etc but there is a chance that the media may ask me some questions and we have been told not to speak to them because it could affect the case.
I’m sure her neighbours have been told the same.

notatinydancer · 11/07/2026 18:42

MrsBunny2018 · 11/07/2026 16:46

Why do people keep prefacing their messages with 'I don't agree with her views but..' ?! Completely irrelevant and suggests there's something wrong with having opinions. Nobody cares if you agree or not. What's horrible is that she was murdered in her home.

Absolutely.

Could be so the perpetrator doesn’t know they’re on to him and he’s less likely to go into hiding.

Could also be so no innocent victims get the blame, especially if they know who they’re looking for.

True and I advocate for carrying sprays. However, I recently had an unpleasant encounter with a man and it taught me that I think it's reasonably useless. I wouldn't have had time to use it before he lunged at me. One second he was talking to me in a perfectly ordinary small talk kinda way and the next second he wasn't.

dapsnotplimsolls · 11/07/2026 18:22

I'm wondering if they're pretty sure who it is but haven't located him yet.

If so they'd be duty bound to release the image of, what is, a very dangerous man, whilst warning the public not to approach him.

In order to describe (they've said he's white) their latest suspect, they must have CCTV or such footage/images of said latest suspect. So why aren't they releasing it, and advising people not to approach him?

One wonders if the outcome of this will involve yet another example of the police having to refer themselves to the watchdog.
