This migrant problem is going to let Reform in isn’t it?

Honestly it’s such a bloody nightmare. Reform are making a total hash of local government from what I’ve read, putting teenagers in charge of whole departments with no relevant experience. What are they going to do if they are elected to run a country!!!! I’m honestly terrified. Labour need to be seen to be actively doing something to quell the far-right momentum that’s gaining traction from ordinary folk. I’m amazed at the average, usually pretty sensible people around me who are now telling me they are going to vote Reform.

there was an interview I saw yesterday where the minister said that thousands of people were being deported regularly. The interviewer asked why there were no videos of this and she said there could be. Well let’s see it! It would absolutely help.

Come next election, I am voting Reform. More and more people feel the same way, and a similar awakening is happening throughout Europe.
Nigel Farage is a no-nonsense person who sees through the woke bullshit that’s been shoved down our throat for a long time. He is actually a very intelligent, well-spoken man with superb communication skills.
Don’t reply with woke bullshit and leftist garbage because I will just ignore it 😄

😁 Love it.

I think the conservatives were talking about a coalition with Reform. I am naturally conservative with a small c but adding reform into it will make it a huge capital C.

The Conform Party.

The Reservative Party.

The Reserve Party.

So glad you are happy to debate and discuss this. Oh wait…

There’s no debating with woke, blind-and-deaf leftists. Their debating actually means smearing everybody with the term ‘racist’ who doesn’t agree with them.
It is them who are ruining this country and keep pushing it to the edge of the abyss. They caused Brexit and the election of Trump in the USA. They are causing the rise of the far-right and hopefully the election of Farage.

People who claim its going to get much worse. What worse than the mess Labour are making?? Their spraying around money to ensure that the state is huge. Stabbing business in the back and sneakily putting up NI. Are they stupid?

Dont get me started on the 'broadest shoulders need to take the burden'. FFS - they will move to other countries you twats. 30% of income tax is paid by 1% of the people, when is enough, 50%, 80%??

I suggest you go look at Gary Economics and educate yourself

Did the left cause the rise of Hitler too...for fucks sake...😂

As long as you have about 500K in assets, you should be OK under Farage, everyone else will be utterly fucked, as the Americans are finding out now under Trump.

If you vote based on personality cult, vote Farage, he's a lot more entertaining than Starmer or Kemi , no doubt. But he'll do fucking nothing for anyone except the wealthy.

Quoting anything about Hitler, nazis and WWII is a well-known trick of woke leftists. They use it as a last resort when they run out of weapons in their arsenal. They love the example of Hitler because the guy was a raging racist and racism is the woke’s mantra, magic word and lethal weapon. They use it as abundantly as Harry Potter uses ‘expelliarmus’.

Australia managed it somehow..

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_the_boats

ABC News Fact Check determined that the promise to "stop the boats" had been delivered on 30 April 2015, when only one boat had arrived in 18 months,[3] after 300 had arrived in 2013.[1]

Unfortunately we don't have islands close by where we can build concentration camps to dump them onto.

The irony of a country full of English immigrants ....

He’ll do everything for the long-suffering British people, regardless of their financial background.

I used it to illustrate Brexit and Trump got into power because they appealed populist ideas that were complete bullshit, same as the rise of the Nazi's.

POPULISM.

I'm not a 'woke leftist' I've never voted for Labour my entire life or any socialist party. I don't spend anytime on social media ( apart from MN either).

This is satire, yes?

Portakalkedi · 24/07/2025 23:14

Yes, as illegal immigration AND the grossly abused legal migration system are just beyond ridiculous. The Conservatives did little, and the Rwanda scheme could have made some difference, but of course Labour stopped that and the numbers are growing. It's a fucking joke, and I'm embarrassed that our country is seen as such a pathetic soft touch. I do think Reform could win the next election, and why not? There's no real alternative.

Me too - and I share your attitude.

The centrists and leftists have had it their way for so long that they think you need their permission to vote a certain way. Like they can stop you with a sassy meme or by getting your banned from an online forum.

We've essentially had a soft liberal dictatorship for a long time; no matter who you vote for, you get the same failed and failing liberal policies. Huge democratic deficits where real decision making power and control is in the hands of left-leaning quangos and judges. Leftist institutional capture across the board. The UK's is now a grotesque parody of democracy.

Parliament is no longer sovereign but the politicians mostly don't care, because they're in ideological lock-step with those bodies and their agenda.

We have an alternative now. And actually, the eventual reaction will only get more extreme the more that people are silenced and ignored (and reducing immigration has been a consistent demand from the public for a long time).

You do know migration is a global problem?

Switch on the news, the wars that we fund with weapons , the hundreds of thousands we've taken in, every fucking country is in the same boat.

Reform are spinning lies. Best they'll do is what Trump does, give rousing speeches to the masses, and high profile Live TV deportations that have been happening since the Tories anyway.

Do you think they're going to cut immigration or raise lviing standards for ordinary people? You hate Labour because they don't bullshit you that they'll stop the boats and make you all rich and you wont have to pay any tax and crime will dissappear.

It could quite easily be stopped. Leave the ECHR.

We have reached an absurd situation in which supranational "laws" prevent us from enforcing the rule of law in our own nation and deporting those who arrive illegally and extort the country economically. Supranational 'laws' created for a bygone era which allow foreigners to which we owe nothing and who have contributed nothing to sue us and bring 22 family members with them (recent case with an Afghan). It's patently absurd and perverse.

Next, deport any and all illegal arrivals to an overseas territory. No entitlement to any support of any kind, ever. Create basic camps on an overseas territory. Ruthlessly impose the maximum fine on any business found employing someone illegally (rather than the weak agreement reached with Deliveroo).

Word would soon get out. They'd stop coming. Eliminate the pull factors.

Labour did pledge to smash the gangs and stop using hotels. And not to raise taxes. Oh and ‘more money in your pocket’ stop the CoL crisis.

ThisPearlShaker · 24/07/2025 23:53

I'd also add a complete clear out of the Civil Service. Robert Peston stated last year that one had told him "there was a mood that we should pull the plug on him [Starmer]" following his criticism of them.

Pathetically, Starmer actually apologised, rather than having them rooted out and fired for gross misconduct. I can't stand him, but for them to believe that they have a role in removing a PM is outrageous.

Just like that take out the entire Civil Service.

No-ones tried to do that before surely?
