Dominic Cummings is Musk's informer

trapforsanta · 12/01/2025 09:02

It's been revealed in multiple media sources after much speculation that Dominic Cummings has been whatsapping Musk with strategies to undermine the UK government and our democracy. For a while commentators have been speculating that Musk must have a hard right UK informant, since he's not across any detail himself and really has no understanding of the UK or our political system himself (see his comments about asking the King to dissolve the government). He's clearly been radicalised by watching Tommy Robinson's videos, and now we discover it's Cummings up to his dark tricks again.

I don't think I've ever wished harm to another person but honestly I wish Cummings would just bugger off for good.

Why would you feel like you need to see the WhatsApp messages of someone who is still technically until the inauguration presumably a private citizen?

I mean he would not be hiding messages like Boris and Rishi . I find secrecy more dangerous than an individual posting exactly what they think publicly !

AzurePanda · 12/01/2025 10:19

It’s certainly getting harder and harder to see how the Starmer government has the best interests of the British people at its heart.

BIossomtoes · 12/01/2025 10:05

Isn’t it. I give you The trio of clowns KS, Reeves and Phillipson are doing it.

I'd say that was fair comment rather than extreme lingo.

Mittens67 · 12/01/2025 10:21

Both are despicable men who have the potential to cause significant harm given the billions available. It is NOT like any other person or politician expressing and opinion. Musk controls information which so much of the world takes as fact.
Our government needs to do all they can to stop this.
Trump and Musk’s desire for power knows no bounds. They are on a par with Putin in that respect. Cummings is utterly mad but clever enough to be extremely dangerous. We have seen him use a stupid leader as his puppet before and it didn’t end well for the UK.

You really are turning disingenuousness into an art form.

I am responding to a PP and asking a simple question.

Tisthedamnseason · 12/01/2025 10:23

Elon Musk has done this country a great service highlighting child grooming gangs.

Absolutely, there's no way anyone knew about any of this before Musk.

Bromptotoo · 12/01/2025 10:24

The only reason Musk has latched on to the gang rape issue is because he has a vendetta with our PM. He's been told that Starmer might have vulnerability over it becuase he was DPP for some of the time while cases were, or were not, being prosecuted and hopes to exploit that.

He doesn't give flying fu** for the victims.

Sorry, but that comment really does show signs of paranoia.

I don’t take anything Musk says as truer or more significant than anyone else’s posts. Why would people be under the spell of this supposed political Svengali?

Anyone else noticed a sudden upsurge in far right supporters on MN saying how wonderful Musk is?

Hoppingabout · 12/01/2025 09:11

Who is saying that? Are we blaming the messenger again rather than listening to the message?

Elon Musk has done this country a great service highlighting child grooming gangs. Just because Labour don't enjoy him pointing out their faults doesn't make him wrong. And Labour saw nothing wrong in interfering in US politics so they can't complain now.

Elon Musk has done nothing for this country. He is an agitator who cares nothing for girls and women's rights. If he did why would have got into bed with the well known sex pest Trump? Not to mention his private life.

Why would you think I am a "far right supporter" because I support Elon Musk highlighting the rape and torture of our girls? Surely that's what's got the country into this mess in the first place?

You probably shouldn't dismiss alternative views to your own as "far right". I would hope we have moved on from that sort of language now.

Again you are shooting the messenger rather than looking at the message.

lostinthememory · 12/01/2025 10:29

@Hoppingabout the message is that these men will take the plight of women and children and exploit it for their own gain.

GrammarTeacher · 12/01/2025 09:57

Well done. He highlighted something we ALREADY had a national inquiry on and the PREVIOUS government failed to implement the recommendations and then tried to delay a bill that put in some more protections in the recent legislation on schools.

There is a great deal of criticism about the previous enquiry. It was too general in scope .

I don’t agree with Musk on many things but I am very pleased he is highlighting the way these horrific atrocities have been downplayed and minimised.
Im disgusted by people who use the term “far right” to silence people .

No. The message is that hundred and thousands of children were raped and tortured by gangs nationwide and that it was covered up for fear of damaging "community relations " as the victims were non Muslim and the perpetrators were Pakistani Muslims (mainly). Elon Musk has highlighted that horrible fact. That's not something you should lose sight of.

Seems to follow on from the PM's reaction to the Southport murders but there's other stuff in there as well

Musk is an absolutist on free speech and is offended by the treatment of Yaxley Lennon.

I don't think he's a wholly rational actor.

JustMyView13 · 12/01/2025 10:34

AzurePanda · 12/01/2025 09:14

I’m perplexed by all the outrage over Musk having opinions on British Politics - people in Britain and particularly politicians have never held back on their opinions on Trump.

Also intrigued by the term “informant” - as if it’s somehow illegal to have a conversation or relationship with someone.

Because he presents opinion as fact.
Because he purchased one of the largest social media platforms and uses it to spread disinformation,

Led by the donkeys recently done an interesting video - well worth a look.

lostinthememory · 12/01/2025 10:35

@Hoppingabout we know this though. There was an inquiry that produced upwards of 20 recommendations that the tories refused to implement.

Musk doesn't care about the children who were raped. He cares about gaining power.

dottiehens · 12/01/2025 10:36

I will get on with my day and leave the Labour sentinels doing their job. Will pop back later for some giggles.

Some of that is rational though. Starmer's reaction to the Southport murders was wrong particularly throwing violent offenders out of jail to replace them with people who posted on FB.

Tommy Robinson committed contempt of court and should be in prison.so I have no argument with that.

Elon Musk hung out with Ghislane Maxwell and Epstein. He has expressed zero concern over them.

He actually pled GUILTY to contempt of court. With his previous offences he would have been in prison for a lot longer in the states.
