Can't berate Starmer for this but think some parents will be aghast.

Yes Eat out to help out, VIP lanes for PPE and Covid support loans, of which £11 billion will never be repaid.

Furlough was far too generous, and used fraudulently.

He signed all of this off, plus he used £8m of Tax payers money to fund a helicopter for himself, even Boris used a train!!!

Talking of advice given, Sunak ignored any given to him, as the Covid inquiry has been told.

The wider point is, that if the Tories were so competent, we'd have lower public debt & better public services, so France and Germany have seen public debt fall since Covid, France by 10%, more to do of course but ours is going up as are taxes and thats the Tory projection!

The country is in a mess, after 14 years of the Tories, which is why your policies were widely rejected.

Its sweet to see Tories on here soooooo incensed at being out of power for at least 5 years, lol!!!

Don’t worry - Rayners mates in the unions, the media, the markets, the rebels and labours own capacity to fuck things up themselves, will
keep things spicy.

We are patient.

All political leaders during CV moved about, Sunak from London to Yorkshire & back, Boris to/fro Chequers and Starmer too.

There is plenty to have a go at Labour about without making stuff up.

Yes they did.

Rishi moved from Yorkshire where his constituency was to London and back.

Boris moved between chequers and Downing Street. Both places he was working.

I can’t stand the Tories. But what business reason was he moving between his house and the flat?

You don’t think telling people to stay at home while pretending to be in your own home, but actually in a mates flat, for no good reason, isn’t dishonest?

Exactly the same applies to Sunak and Boris, as it does Starmer.

What possible business reason did any of them have? they ALL told us to stay at home, they ALL did the opposite.

Downing street is perfectly capable of being suitable to run the Govt from, not a pad in Yorkshire.

I'm critical of all of them, on this but you and others, only Starmer.

It would appear that the left is in favour of obfuscating freedom of speech, both from its own advisors, electorate, unions and of course the public? Frightening times. Starmer is a dangerous monster in my eyes and I didn't have a kind word to say about the Tories.

Starmer is thinking globally

I think we really need to think globally. People like Gates and Bezos will invest in anything globally. Pets, dental, health care. Etc.

My old dentist and vets have been swallowed up by a medium sized group. They get big enough bigger fish will catch them.

We have to stop thinking nationally because Starmer has

I'll ask again, what does the existence of these consortiums have to do with the Labour party? Where have you read / what evidence do you have that they intend to sell off the NHS to them???

I addressed those issues because they were the ones that were raised.

Non of them should have done if they didn’t need to.

But going to your constituency is a work reason. It’s one of his places of work.

I have no idea why Boris was at chequers. And I have no idea if they were doing this at times we were told not to travel at all. But if they were, they shouldn’t have been doing it either.

But staying in your mates flat for no reason (KS doesn’t live far from it) whilst telling people to stay at home and pretending you are at home is dishonest.

And my point was he was dishonest then and he is being dishonest about why he had use of the flat now.

I can’t see anyone suggesting the Tories aren’t dishonest and self serving. But so is KS. They are the same.

I think it's just a mixed conversation covering the flat during the pandemic which funnily enough is still his interpretation of reality

Logically they'll lease, the consortium takes over hospitals, modernization takes place. Time and motion people move in cut out the deadwood. Improve efficiency. The operations, care will then be billed to the government at a lower price than the NHS can achieve. You'll have private and NHS patients in the same hospital.

It will be a two tier system.

Its entirely relevant to the conversation if you want to bother reading the posts.

@80smonster Starmer is a "dangerous monster"?! I think the word hyperbole was invented for this kind of comment.

If the media and public had been up in arms for even a tiny portion of all the shite the Tories did when they were in power, this country would be in a much much better state than it is now.

"Let the bodies pile high". Now that is the sort of thing you'd expect a "monster" to say.

Who do you want in charge?

Or how about a report that states 4000 people will die in 2017 from Labour

Then refusing to do an impact assessment when introducing the policy

That's not even a comment that's policy and outcome

No wonder we are here when you'd ignore the former and hold on to the latter

Did you miss the entire reorganising of society to huge damage and cost btw

Why didn't Labour do an impact assessment if they want to avoid those deaths?

With all due respect, it's simple economics.

Why do you think Starmer had a two hour dinner with trump last night rather than Harris?

OP posts:
justasking111 · 27/09/2024 14:13

Tony Blair worth between 45 and 65 million, Cherie Blair, who knows. Euan Blair £374 million.
Gordon brown 15 million.

These are smart people.

I guess he had to stay somewhere overnight so tried to build relationship?

No coverage of that one. Can you imagine what went on

I think Lammy was there too

No doubt a few jokes about freebies at the expense of the public were offered up by Keir

deltabluesandpinks · 27/09/2024 14:15

@justasking111 if it's simple economics why did the Tories not bring it in?

justasking111 · 27/09/2024 14:20

David Milliband who I had a soft spot for earns a million a year with a charity.

Nick Clegg was worth £20 million, he works for FB.

These are clever men. Today we don't have politicians who are statesmen.
