@noblegiraffe, Have you forgotten that Boris did not even take his full paternity leave when Will was born. Also he kept working even when he had Covid really badly and was put in intensive care following day. I don't know why people think he shirks on work when he has clearly demonstrated he has gone over and beyond what he had to do.

@noblegiraffe, actually Teresa May was the PM who appointed Chris Pincher, my MP to his whip roll. When Boris came in as PM he just kept him in post. Look up the records Pincher was in post while May was PM.

So the fact May ignored previous allegations makes it all ok that Bojo can ignore them too?

You sound like that pharmacist on Doc Martin.

ShepherdMoons · 20/10/2022 17:46

I don't want Boris back. Rishi Sunak would be a decent person to be PM.

Anniefrenchfry · 20/10/2022 17:46

Just watching sky news, Angela raynor being interviewed, she was ranting on about no mandate and when the interviewer said but you might get boris you could see the barely concealed fury.

She is running scared at rhe thought of boris looming again and gave away more than she intended. It then fell apart for her when she started trying to slaughter the Tory fiscal plan and the interviewer asked why she didn’t even have one 😂

GoTeamRocket · 20/10/2022 17:47

He is a compulsive liar. No.

He wasn't that ill.

He admits that.

The 2 nurses he hailed as caring from him at deaths door left not soon after. Why?

@caringcarer This myth that he was really ill with covid has been debunked comprehensively - he has even backtracked on it himself. the hospital management were asked if it was true there had been a plan for the eventuality he "didn't make it" as he had lied claimed. All untrue. Hard to believe, I know, that such a sincere selfless man of fine character and reputation would lie for his own benefit, I know, but there you are.

Hbh17 · 20/10/2022 16:28

As I commented elsewhere, he didn't do much wrong.
His support for Ukraine was important.
I didn't vote for Brexit, but the electorate did and he got it over the line.
But, as a Conservative, he should have been more libertarian and his overly harsh Covid restrictions were ridiculous.
The fuss about parties etc was totally unnecessary - I don't know anybody who cared about that, but his MPs got scared - now they are realising the truth of the phrase "be careful what you wish for"!

You have got to be fucking joking.

noblegiraffe · 20/10/2022 17:49

That's because looking after a baby is hard work, whereas attending Cobra meetings and the like is stuff you can just bunk off.

floradora · 20/10/2022 17:50

twitter.com/marcusjball/status/1533804626918752262 later said it was "really mild" when he knew he'd been rumbled.

ChocFrog · 20/10/2022 17:51

I’d genuinely rather they ring up the local prison, pick a murderer at random, and let the murderer have a go at being PM. The murderer would probably have made fewer and less serious ‘mistakes’ than Boris Johnson.

I hate him. Despise him. Absolutely loathe him.

He was fired twice for dishonesty before he became PM, campaigned on a bunch of lies and by whipping up hate against immigrants and our closest allies, fired all the moderate Conservaties, illegally prorogued Parliament to avoid having his policies subject to democratic scrutiny, broke the British economy by getting rid of cheap EU labour without any plan to replace it, ordered infectious covid patients to be discharged from hospitals into care homes which killed thousands more, and then passed draconian lockdown laws while illegally partying away. Then he lied to Parliament and said there were no parties. Then photos were produced he said er I thought those weren’t parties.

Yes I know he’s jolly good at remembering the names of people he meets and buying lunch for journalists and his hair is very shiny and all but surely Britain deserves better than a lying cheating hasbeen?

If the Conservatives make him PM again I seriously think there will be riots.

ChocFrog · 20/10/2022 17:51

RORY STEWART WE NEED YOU

Pugalicious · 20/10/2022 17:52

@Penguinsaregreat · Today 16:19
I think Liz Truss should have stuck it out.

So do I. She never stood a chance really did she?

chocolatevelvet · 20/10/2022 17:52

The idea of Boris Johnson coming back makes me absolutely boil with rage. He has done more than anyone to fuck up this country. I - the least political person you can imagine - would personally march on fucking Downing Street.

Squidthing · 20/10/2022 17:52

Just noooooooooo.

Pugalicious · 20/10/2022 17:53

Please can we have Ken Clarke? I think he is wonderful

justasking111 · 20/10/2022 17:53

So who should square up to Putin then because the next prime minister will need to

Boris Johnson = a Putin plot to break Britain. And it fucking worked. ☹️

Ihateboris · 20/10/2022 17:55

I think my username answers the question...

category12 · 20/10/2022 17:55

Fuck no.

(Haven't read the thread so not addressed to anything but the opening post).

Happylady165 · 20/10/2022 17:55

If you think a leader’s integrity doesn’t matter then he might be good for you.

He lied when he printed things that will never happen on the side of the bus.

He lied when when he said he didn’t spend all that public money on the flat.

He repeatedly lied when he said he was not at any parties and and was unaware of them going on.

When will working class people wake up and smell the shit.

miceonabranch · 20/10/2022 17:56

They're scraping the bottom of the barrel with Johnson.

GucciBear · 20/10/2022 17:56

I think he is the only one who can bring the Tories to heel and order He was naughty but has the mental strength to win.
