Louise Mensch? Louise Mensch? Blimey.

claig · 08/10/2016 20:24

'This Louise Mensch? Blimey.'

She is very influential. She is running a new Murdoch site Heat Street and gets invted onto Fox and Fox Business and knows what is going on among all the NeverTrumpers. She was also for Brexit and knows what is going on in politics both in the States and the UK.

OP posts:
claig · 08/10/2016 20:25

She is based in New York now which is why she knows what is going on in the States.

OP posts:
nauticant · 08/10/2016 20:29

When she lived in the UK she seemed to be clueless about almost everything. Allow me to be skeptical that living in a different country has enabled her to become remarkably sharp and insightful.

claig · 08/10/2016 20:31

'When she lived in the UK she seemed to be clueless about almost everything.'

She works for Murdoch. She knows what is happening. I like her but she is anti Trump and a bit Establishment although she did go against the UK Establishment and go for Brexit.

CorkieD · 08/10/2016 20:31

Louise Mensch is so out of it, I doubt she knows what is going on in her immediate surroundings never mind in New York or the US as a whole.

WinchesterWoman · 08/10/2016 20:39

What do you mean 'so out of it' sorry i don't understand you

claig · 08/10/2016 20:39

Tim Stanley of the Telegraph never did get it. I remember him tweeting that Trump had blown it live during the wildest Trump debate of all when he went all out against Bush

"Tim Stanley ‏@timothy_stanley · 9h9 hours ago

Donald Trump has self-immolated – and he'll take the entire conservative movement down with him"

Trump will still make it.

WinchesterWoman · 08/10/2016 20:41

this is the same media, on behalf of the globalists, who ignored the women
who accused Bill Clinton

it's obviously true - but they also seemed to ignore the rape suit against him filed by a 13-year-old (then 13-year-old).

But yes your initial point will be observed by many Trump supporters and will be seen as more hypocrisy. 'Ok so ours is bad but yours is just as bad - so what else do they stand for' will be the line of thinking.

WinchesterWoman · 08/10/2016 20:42

Claig, who, out of the MSM, has called this right. No one.

nauticant · 08/10/2016 20:42

WinchesterWoman · 08/10/2016 20:44

Do you mind if I don't click there. Are you suggesting she is on drugs. I don't get it. Or out of the loop?

FabFiveFreddie · 08/10/2016 20:48

Louise Mensch, commentating on Fox, on a US Presidential election, between Donald Fucking Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Where, just where does one begin?

claig · 08/10/2016 20:49

it's obviously true - but they also seemed to ignore the rape suit against him filed by a 13-year-old (then 13-year-old). '

Yes but I think the media know that the suit against Trump doesn't stand up which is why they haven't run with it.

'Claig, who, out of the MSM, has called this right. No one.'

None of them. Some individuals like Simon Heffer have on the whole got it right and understood what it is all about. There are a lot of clever people who have got it wrong because they don't want Trump to win and that has clouded their judgement on what is really happening.

Louise Mensch is very smart but she thought that Trump would never make it to be Republican nominee because, I think, that is what she hoped would happen but it didn't.

claig · 08/10/2016 20:51

'Louise Mensch, commentating on Fox,'

FabFive, she is very well connected, has lots of contacts, knows what is happening and works for Murdoch. It is worth following her tweets to see what the NeverTrumpers are thinking.

nauticant · 08/10/2016 20:53

It is worth following her tweets

blogs.spectator.co.uk/2015/08/louise-mensch-adds-yet-another-twitter-gaffe-to-her-list/

claig · 08/10/2016 20:55

nauticant, she does make the odd mistake Smile

OP posts:
FabFiveFreddie · 08/10/2016 21:15

Nothing on God's good earth would make me follow Louise Mensch's anything.

I thought Murdoch was smarter than this, and I mean that as an insult to them both.

claig · 08/10/2016 21:15

'I thought Murdoch was smarter than this' Grin

CousinCharlotte · 08/10/2016 21:18

Murdoch and Mensch, sound like serial killers.

Fruitboxjury · 08/10/2016 21:26

Greetings all, is there room for a fruit box here Wine? I've been following with great interest and agree tomorrow's debate could be a game changer after this weeks revelations.

Has anyone seen the latest reports that RNC are suspending pro-trump activities or have more insight on what this might mean for tomorrow / going forwards and what their alternative options are?

I can't believe that the Trump tapes (and whatever is left to come), weren't released before the primaries or at least before Trump came this far. It's also unthinkable that at this late stage the debate is being dominated by personality over by substance or policy, with so many GOPers now withdrawing endorsements for Trump I can't help but draw parallels to the state of our own opposition here in the U.K.??

Off to add some of your suggested follows to twitter, even LM....

claig · 08/10/2016 21:39

Trump fires back with a stinging tweet

"Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump · 56m56 minutes ago

The media and establishment want me out of the race so badly - I WILL NEVER DROP OUT OF THE RACE, WILL NEVER LET MY SUPPORTERS DOWN! #MAGA"

'with so many GOPers now withdrawing endorsements for Trump I can't help but draw parallels to the state of our own opposition here in the U.K.?'

Exactly. That is what I thought. The Establishment again withdrawing their support from the members and people's choice.

OP posts:
Lweji · 08/10/2016 21:41

You know it's bad for you, but you can't resist it.
Place marking.

claig · 08/10/2016 21:41

If Trump makes it to tomorrow's debate, there will be hell to pay when Trump takes his revenge on the insiders and spills the beans during the debate. Don't miss it. I think "the real Trump" will now have to turn up. The gloves are off.

OP posts:
claig · 08/10/2016 21:44

Of course if Trump does spill the beans then all the Establishment Reoublicans will be told to withdraw more support from him and demand that he stand down and let Hillary win.

But as Trump told them in his historic tweet

"The media and establishment want me out of the race so badly - I WILL NEVER DROP OUT OF THE RACE, WILL NEVER LET MY SUPPORTERS DOWN! #MAGA"
