Media coverage deliberately biased against Corbyn, British public believes

The public understand the media's game.

There is no fooling the public or the Corbynistas. The usual tactics of the metropolitan elite have failed.

"Perception of unfairness extends beyond supporters of Labour leader"
..
A majority of the British public believe the media is deliberately biased against Jeremy Corbyn and seeking to portray him in a negative light.
..
Women in the Labour selectorate were more likely to believe the coverage was biased than men and older people in the group were also more likely to believe it had been deliberately biased "

Based on what I've posted on this thread - you think I'm a labour member?!?'

"Yes"

How rude.

I suggest you refresh your memory and look at my first post on this thread, on 4/9 at 22:00.

So Claig you're anti establishment and vote Conservative (past and present)? That's some dichotomy Confused

Kaija · 10/09/2016 23:50

Political correctness? Yes I know what that usually means now. It's what we used to call in the dim distant past basic human decency.

claig · 10/09/2016 23:51

NNChangeAgain, sorry you are a conservative. I would never have guessed because I got the impression you went along with some of Owen Smith's reasoning about Brexit.

Were you a Cameroonie and did you vote Remain?

'So Claig you're anti establishment and vote Conservative (past and present)? That's some dichotomy'

Not really, that is the same reason US Republicans voted for Trump. You can only vote conservative, Labour or now UKIP, which I did. But most anti-establishment consensus is on the right because the Establishment is the liberal media and BBC. The Daily Mail is anti-establishment which is why the great and the good hate it and we love it and Trump is anti-establishment which is why lots of conservatives love him but the Establishment ones don't.

The Daily Mail is anti-establishment Grin I beg to differ.

NNChangeAgain · 10/09/2016 23:59

Not a Cameronnie - much happier with TM Smile

Voted Remain for local and personal reasons - many of my contracts are funded from EU grants. My view varied from the majority view in the constituency I live in.

Dislike the calls to ignore the referendum result, hold another one etc.

But, I do believe, based on my own experience of people I've met, that some people created their own narrative to go alongside their referendum vote, and are now disillusioned that they haven't got what they believed they were voting for.
And I think the same would happen if Party Members/The Public were given the opportunity to contribute to policy making. Not everyone would understand the limitations of that.

'The Daily Mail is anti-establishment grin I beg to differ.'

All the mainstream media have to obey the "magic circle" on the key issues, but on everything else the Daily Mail hammers the Establishment incessantly. It defeated them on the Liverpool Care Pathway and on many other things they want to get through. It is a thorn in their side because its readers are politically incorrect and always oppose the Establishment as can be seen in their comments section.

Jonathan Powell, Blair's former Chief of Staff, said it is the Daily Mail, rather than the Murdoch papers, that the politicians all fear because it is Middle England's paper and Middle England is the last bastion of political incorrectness who take it to Cameron and the Cameroonies and all the rest of the Establishment.

'Not a Cameronnie - much happier with TM'

Very good to hear. Theresa is good - common sense at last.

We'll have to agree to disagree.
4th Viscount Rothmere, not at all establishment Hmm

claig · 11/09/2016 00:15

'4th Viscount Rothmere, not at all establishment '

He is, but he doesn't write for the paper. I don't know him but not all of the Establishment are politically correct and if they aren't then they can't be in the inner circle because you have to be politically correct to join the "magic circle", that is their motto E Pluribus Politically Correctum.

Lord Monckton for example is upper class, but he ain't in their inner circle because he hammers them over manmade climate change, just like Trump, and they don't like it up em.

claig · 11/09/2016 00:20

Lord Monckton ran UKIP Scotland for a while as well before Farage kicked him out over something or other. Lord Monckton is not in the inner circle because UKIP is a no-no for the lot of them and he won't go along with the BS.

All appears delusional to me.

'All appears delusional to me.'

That is what the Establishment says about Trump, but he is going to win and then there will be huge change.

Trumps an empty vessel. God help America.

NNChangeAgain · 11/09/2016 10:50

That is what the Establishment says about Trump, but he is going to win and then there will be huge change.

There will be. I'm surprised you are so welcoming of that, given your voting history.

Global political change is never painless - there will undoubtedly be unknown and unexpected consequences. Some may say that is exciting, others are more cautious.

claig · 11/09/2016 11:05

'I'm surprised you are so welcoming of that, given your voting history. '

I am anti-establishment, for the people and Trump scares the entire world establishment like never before.

His speech a few days agi in Pensacola, Florida was stunning (watch it on youtube to see what is coming and what he will do to the Establishment) - no more political correctness, common sense again, no more special interests, no more crooks, no more job losses, the people back in charge at last. They have never ever come up against anyone like Trump and their worst nightmare is about to begin.

I am not a Cameron conservative, I am a common sense conservative and there is no one better than Trump for that which is why the elites, Davos, the "magic circle" and the Establishments worldwide are having kittens about Trump. They all know it's over, their game is up and Trump will end it.

NNChangeAgain · 11/09/2016 11:11

I am anti-establishment

At any price?

claig · 11/09/2016 11:11

Here are just a few highlights of Trump's speech in Florida.

The "magic circle" tune in to every Trump speech to see what is coming and what they will get. If you think they are scared of little old Corbyn, magnify it 1000 times for their fear of Trump
