Dutchobama I sent you an email now. Sorry my pregnancy brain has become a firm thing. I did go to the Docs a few weeks ago and they were fairly useless and telling me that I was pregnant not ill. Also that anxiousness was a normal thing. I do appreciate that I do have hormones flying all over the place. I have left it for a while to see how I was going to get on and it's rearing it's head again. I think next time, I'm just going to speak with a Doc instead of the Nurse. I'll see how I get on tomorrow and go from there.

TACP DH is still looking for a job, but has managed to find a few weeks part time work now, praise God. I am seeing God's provision at the moment and I have a very good feeling (praying in faith) that he'll have a confirmed job come the time that the part time job finishes.

By the way, I went for my scan yesterday and I am happy to report that I have a very active wriggly wiggly baby. So much so that even the sonographer said 'active little thing isn't it'. It was there lounging around upside down (already has decided that it will be contrary to normal scan pictures that show them on their sides). It was very very cool and a very big blessing. I've also started feeling it wriggle as well. I know that a lot of people say that you can't this early, but I asked on the forums and they all came to that conclusion. It's not gas either as I'm not that windy at the mo(sorry TMI).

teaandcakeplease · 08/04/2010 21:30

Awwww so lovely to hear about your baby With my second baby I felt it moving much earlier than expected.

Glad your H has a little work. Shall pray for more provision as that's a worry always at the back of your mind.

MaryBS · 09/04/2010 07:28

Praying for you TACP, Hermya, and for you and yuor family JDI.

Thanks CD for another fantastic job!

Silly prayer, but my car goes for its MOT today, please pray it doesn't cost too much... I reckon it needs 4 new tyres though, possibly exhaust, and thats just what I know about

JentlyDoesIt · 09/04/2010 08:56

Morning Ladies What another sunny beautifyl morning here

Hermya - what lovely news about your gorgeous baby - wriggly little thing! DP's mum was told that she had IBS for 6 months before they decided it was actually a baby this was in the days before scans...

Thank you for the round up CD, need something to focus my mind on Prayers a plenty for us all.

Am off into town for some retail therapy this morning. Kids in nursery, DP off out to lunch with his best friend.

A lovely sunny day to you all xx

JentlyDoesIt · 09/04/2010 08:59

I have just referred to DP (across the table from me) as "my 40 year old irritable bowel" that, apparently is not a term of endearment

On another note, I know NormasKnockers in RL and am pleaesd to report that her new neice is doing much better, although they are investigating for more problems. Please keep them in your prayers.

DutchOma · 09/04/2010 09:26

That made me laugh Hermya DutchObama.
Your parcel will go soon.
Praying that your dh will find a permanent job soon and that you will be able to cope better with yours.
TACP hope you are coping better today, the gorgeous weather does help, doesn't it?
We are off to the hospital for an appointment with the professor who did Bob's operation in 2006, the one that would give him a new lease of life but which has left him with only 40% lung capacity, so he struggles.
Please pray for us that we will get our point across without acrimony and that there will be some good coming out of a hard situation.
I need to have a catarct removed in the next three months, prayers for peace of mind would also be very welcome.
Blessings for all.

Hermya321 · 09/04/2010 18:31

Just a bit of an update, after a very sleepless night (and a reoccurance of IBS) and a morning full of tears. I've rang into work and went to the Docs.

They've referred me to go see a counseller and I've been told to take some time off (which I have) and if I need to I can go back to the Docs and they'll extend it for a bit. They were reluntant to medicate, and to be honest I wasn't looking for that. I'd rather explore a more talking cure. I've had issues in the past and I found that counselling always got me back on my feet.

I rang work and explained what was going on, they were really good with me and didn't make me feel like a crazy person at all.

I'm very happy with this result and hopefully this will give me the space I need to sort my head out and get into a more stable place.

So really just continued prayers for peace, a stable head and for continued grace from people at work.

As always I'll be praying for the rest of you as well.

teaandcakeplease · 09/04/2010 19:42

That's positive Hermya, still praying x

CaptainDippy · 09/04/2010 23:37

OP posts:
PositiveAttitude · 10/04/2010 09:43

Marking my spot on here to get this into "Threads I'm on".

Prayers aplenty for Hermya, glad that people are being understanding and I hope the talking helps you. Prayers for the whole situation and for peace in the storm!

Continued prayers for your storm, too TACP you are very much covered with prayer and God's love.

DO - prayers for you and DH.

I have just had the most wonderful week off work. A lovely balance between spring cleaning, relaxing and getting out and enjoying glorious weather. New minister has moved into his house this week, so when I return to work on Tuesday I have a new boss! Prayers for me to stay openminded and fair would be good as there is already "history" to this!!

I hope little ones are sleeping well and you are all enjoying spring.

Have a lovely weekend.

MaryBS · 11/04/2010 08:03

Yay, car passed its MOT, and for a lot less work than I expected.

Its a bit of an EEK! morning for me. Our priest is away this w/e, and we have a visiting priest who can't get there till halfway through. So I am taking the first part of the service (Eucharist) on my own - never done this before. Please keep me in prayer, that my nerves don't get the better of me!

Also prayers needed here

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2010 08:36

Praying for RedTube's grandfather

Morning all!! I have been feeling rather rough the last couple of days and things just feel a bit "aaaarrrggghhhh", not sure why. Money's not great and I am just a bit over-whelmed. La La La ....

Anyway, it's lovely weather Best crack on ......

OP posts:
DutchOma · 11/04/2010 09:07

Prayers for you Mary and Dippy.
The weather is not as nice here as it was yesterday, but it promises to be sunny later...when we are out of church.

MrsCadwallader · 11/04/2010 09:16

Would it be too trivial to offer a prayer of thanks for my new dishwasher?! I'm so ridiculously pleased to have it, it will save so much time and it's making my kitchen all lovely and tidy because everything is put away!

Prayers for you Mary - I hope the service goes well!

And DO - how did you get on on Friday?

Prayers for CD, Hermya and Redtube, and continuing prayers for TACP.

Thanks for the round up CD - it's nice to feel in control of my praying instead of 'Dear Lord, do what you need to do because I've lost track of the details'

I do hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. It's good for the soul!

CaptainDippy · 11/04/2010 10:34

DH taking DDs to church so I can have a rest this am

OP posts:
madhairday · 11/04/2010 12:53

Hello all. Back from a nice Easter break. We were so shattered after Easter, dh had been working incredibly hard and all the usual easter services etc. we were both a bit burned out.

Thanks for the great round up CD. My niece is sooo much better. Thanks for all the prayers.

Continuing to pray for you all. Hermya great news on the scan. TACP praying for your situation a lot. DutchOma hope it goes ok with the professor. do you mind me asking what surgery he had. I may have to have lung surgery soon so would be interested. Hope it all goes ok.

teaandcakeplease · 11/04/2010 13:41

Hello still praying :-)

Thanks you for your kind words and prayers, I know God is being really good to me. Pray for provision as my Hubby isn't giving me anything as he's still unemployed and my bank account is starting to look a little scary right now. He does need a job but is struggling in this recession, so prayers for a job would be even better as then he'd be able to support me and children.

amberlight · 11/04/2010 14:27

Stil praying for everyone....

...and could do with a few, because I am SO bad at just not shutting up when I'm out of my depth in debates (elsewhere, not on mn) and end up so exhausted and it's been an awful week anyway and I feel really down

Sorry

Hermya321 · 11/04/2010 14:39

Hello all!

Still praying for all of you.
I went to church this morning and got prayed for. Thank you for all of your prayers. Theres been a lot of tears this weekend and Dh has been very supportive. My friends also going to come up and spend a few days with me to help me out.

Could you continue to pray for recovery, I do want to get back to work but I know that I need a little time to heal. I've got to go back to the Docs, can you pray that they're understanding and give me the time I need.

God bless you all!

DutchOma · 11/04/2010 14:41

Oh Amber, oh sweetie, (virtual) hugs and comfort to you.
MrsC and Madhairday, the interview with the professor was somewhat traumatic. He insisted (forcefully) that Bob's condition could not possibly be the fault of the operation (a quadruple bypass), the symptoms he is displaying simply do not add up to "complications of a bypass". He thought it was a step forward because now "we could stop barking up the wrong tree", but to us it feels as if we are back to square one minus, because we now have a whole forest of trees to bark up to and we just don't know what to do.
I'm asking myself whether I would rather have a wrong answer than no answer at all. AIBU?

JentlyDoesIt · 11/04/2010 15:14

Happy Sunny Sunday afternoon

DO - so, if the symptoms do not add to comps with bypass, then what do they add up to? Might have been nice for the Dr to give you a few cluse on that

Amber - many many prayers for you my lovely.

CD - too much vino, not too much Archers??? Hope you are feeling better after a rest my love

Hermya - hope you are also feeling better soon, I have just had some time signed off work and it has really helped (also had counselling which has been brill)

TACP - prayers for job situ...

Trial starts tomorrow, will try and update where I can but please keep us in your thoughts. Poor DP looks awful at the moment (unsurprisingly) and I just cannot wait for it all to be over and for my gorgeous man to be back with me...

DutchOma · 11/04/2010 17:06

That would really have been nice Jen, but he said he wasn't clever enough to do that.
