Thank you everyone for making me so welcome on this thread. Sending out prayers for all those on here.

I'm sure your DD will be great on Wednesday Zipadi!

madhairday · 20/04/2010 11:24

That's so lovely musicposy. Hope it's all going ok today. Be gentle on yourself.
Hope your dd is ok for the dance show Zip.
Have emailed you Mary.
PA hope you get to meet the minister soon!

dd still off school with ear infection, but pretty OK in herself, just can't send her in with gunk leaking out her ears (yuk). So trying to get on with bits and bobs while she is bouncing around, although she is doing cross stitch atm so nice and quiet. dh now ill...it never ends.

teaandcakeplease · 20/04/2010 19:03

PA - your new minister isn't called Ian is he? Just have to ask as the old church I went to with H before I relocated last November, the minister there has literally just started at a new church in Essex the other week and I wondered

Prayers for everyone as usual

teaandcakeplease · 20/04/2010 19:03

Not that I know where you live since I joined thread actually

PositiveAttitude · 20/04/2010 19:51

MHD - Hope DD is fully better tomorrow, after a good nights sleep.

TACP - No its not Ian, I live on the Isle of Wight! - is Ian good, though, I could swap!

Rubbish day at work. Church secretary took credit and announced as her fantastic idea exactly what I had suggested a week ago. Then a bullish man decided to show me up in front of a room of people by telling me that I had not ordered something that I had never been told to order. Apparently I should be psychic too! No sight of minister. New office that I have been waiting to move into has now got damp patches, so more work needs doing, phone lines have been moved to the new office, so when the phone rings I have to run along a corridor, down stairs, along another corridor and through office to grab phone, before answer machine kicks in. - Did not succeed a couple of times! More than slightly fed up with it all at the moment.

Sorry about moan, its nothing compared to what some of you are dealing with.

spookycharlotte has requested some prayers in relationship to this thread

short version for those that haven't followed the thread/don't have time to read it. Having pains since the weekend, MNers suspected it sounded like an eptopic pregancy, back and forth from the hospital. FINALLY taken seriously this morning and given a scan, and they're going to decide this aftenroon when it'll be treated with injection or surgery - but she's asked for prayers.

MaryBS · 21/04/2010 17:15

Praying for Spooky - it seems she is undergoing surgery, Lord protect her and keep her safe...

ZipadiSoozi · 21/04/2010 23:23

Hello had a very difficult afternoon with DCs today and got very very cross with my boy especially, as he's becoming quite a handful lately. It's so hard being a single mum with 2 LO's 17 months apart and both under age 3

Please pray for tomorrow to be a better day and for me to be more patient etc.

It's not as important as some prayers on here but my natural reaction when my 2 LO's push the boundaries is to end up shouting I just want to be the best mum I can, regardless of the circumstances.

JentlyDoesIt · 22/04/2010 20:32

Hello you lot

TACP - that cannot be easy, I have the same gap as you (mine are 3.5 and 2) and they were a real handful when they were both under 3. I think you are doing marvellously under the circs and you should not worry yourself too much for shouting at them - they do try their luck and it is a natural reaction. I used to find that taking myself off for some "quiet time" even if it's just 10 secs sat on the stairs works well

PA - I would be ranting too! Frankly I would leave the phone Hope tomorrow is cheerier for you xx

Praying for spooky, will check that thread in a moment.

Teary Mummy this morning, dropped DD "middle" room and nursery, not in the baby room she's not a baby any more

Prayers for all xx

Hermya321 · 22/04/2010 22:32

Hello you lot!!

How are you all??

Just to update you on my news, been to see a counseller who told me it was antenatel anxiety. Glad to know I'm not going off the deep end, so am going back to work next week, so prayers for that would be good.

I'm feeling a heck of a lot more like my normal self which is brilliant. God has been so good to us recently and I'm just feeling very blessed.

Can you pray for God to heal my sore tooth, I really don't like the dentist and would prefer a miricle approach to this one.

Praying for you all.

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 07:36

That's lovely to hear Hermya, praying for your tooth.

DutchOma · 23/04/2010 07:40

There's a lot of us about who feel like that about dentists Hermya, but there's really nothing for it. Better go now, because if you wait till you're my (advanced)age you won't have much left and it feels funny

We're off for a week to Holland.

CaptainDippy · 23/04/2010 10:40

Nice one Hermya Prayers for your tooth. xx

I admire you so much TACP!!!! I know how hard small age gaps are (13m between my first two and then 23m between next two) let alone doing it on your own!!!! You should be proud of yourself!!!! Give yourself a break and see the positives in what you are doing. It does get easier xx

OP posts:
MaryBS · 23/04/2010 15:23

I have to admit I was traumatised by my last dentist visit...

Praying for all... please keep my BIL in prayer...

weegiemum · 23/04/2010 19:14

I'm not posting on here much but am reading and praying.

Could I ask you to pray for a friend and her dh. The dh has just been diagnosed with cancer of his oesophagus, which is almost always terminal. He's only 33. They have a nearly 3 year old and baby 2 is due on 5th May. If he sees CHristmas, that will be spectacular.

They are good Christian people, (not that that makes any diference) and she is remarried to him after her first marriage broke down when she discovered her ex-h had been having an affair with her best friend since before they got married!

Sp pray for L, her dh S, their little boy Mr S (they always call him that) and baby-to-come. I cannot imagine this.

teaandcakeplease · 23/04/2010 19:24

Oh Weegie that's dreadful! Praying for them all x

PositiveAttitude · 23/04/2010 20:04

Oh Weegie, thats heartbreaking. We do have a God is a GOd of miracles. Prayers for the whole family.

Seems wrong now to post about anything going on here, but just to let you know that I have spoken on phone to new minister. Far more relaxed now and an answer to prayer. Induction service tomorrow.

Hermya321 · 24/04/2010 10:51

Weegie Oh my, thats horrid. We'll be praying for them all.

MaryBS · 24/04/2010 11:25

Praying WM, how awful

PA - that is fantastic news, I am SO pleased for you!

madhairday · 25/04/2010 15:03

Oh weegiemum That's awful. Praying for them all.

PA and Hermya - good news

How is everyone else?

Can I ask for prayers for my dh with the ongoing workload thing and also some difficulties with people at church who I want to say very rude things about but ought to be all graceful as curates wife

phew, church would be easier without people

PositiveAttitude · 25/04/2010 16:15

MHD - Church would be wonderful without people, especially Christians!! I suppose we have to get used to it here, we have to have them all in eternity

First Sunday service with new minister. It was pretty good, really. And I met him after the service and things were ok. I wont be so nervous about seeing him this week in the office.

Feeling very excited today as we have seen a business venture that we may look into and see where it leads. Prayers for guidance once again would be appreciated.

Has anyone read "The Book of God" by Walter Wangerin? I am reading it at the moment and finding it really interesting.

Hope you are all having a good weekend. Prayers for you all.
