Praying through April - Come snow, come shine

Looking back over the thread it is amazing how much has happened in just over a month:

First of all giving thanks for imminent and not so imminent 'beans'
Bobsmum - 36 weeks is it? Struggling with elephant feelings
Podglet on maternity leave now; CS booked for 15th April
Myjobismum - giving thanks for normal scan 14 weeks now and feeling more positive.
CaptainCaveman - give thanks for willyflashing bean. So sad about the lady seen in clinic with a 20 week pregnancy that is no longer viable, Lord have mercy.

Just flagging up some urgent prayer needs

FAQ (Queenofquotes) - marriage has broken up, struggling with life on her own with three dss. Situation not improved by the fact that her lovely vicar had a comprehensive breakdown and is in hospital. Praying for things to keep improving and giving thanks for friends around her.
Podmog Struggling with many issues - Lord bring peace and calm in all situations and relationships.
Praying also for Notsofarnow who is back at work but not finding life that easy.

CaptainDippy and ZipadiSuzy both struggling with rather parallel issues:- unfamiliar work and not a lot of money. Praying for perseverance and rest.
Swaliswan too is getting used to a new job which thankfully she enjoys more than she expected too. Struggling with dh being away a lot and mil threatening a visit straight after dh comes back.

MaryBS who has had such a lot of work to do and who is going for more clarity on a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. Praying also for her friend K who will have an operation for cancer on Wednesday.
Also praying for Amber32002 who bravely went to church a few weeks back and who is talking about disability issues with people in the Church at high level.

Praying for Roseylea for clarity of thought on a 'thing that has cropped up'.

Giving thanks with Worzella and Notquitegrownup for enjoyable far away holidays

Praying for Panda's mum with chest infection.

Praying for OJ and Steve, Steve should be home by now but apparently there is some problem with transport. Lord, how we need you in this very hard situation, joy tinged with sadness.

And for all not mentioned NorthernLurker, Mufti, PenpotEca (how are things now sweetheart?) and anybody else - lets get praying.

Hurrah, another prayer thread baby! Huge Congrats Bobsmum and family, what a lovely name!

First day on our own today. DP is back at work and I am really missing him. We have had a busy day at home though, sorting things out and cooking etc.

NSFN - praying for that poor little girl and her family.

DO - Glad to hear that DH is getting better albeit slowly - will the recovery contiunue (hope so)?

I am sorry that yet again I am not mentioning more people but please know that I am thinking and praying for you all. I promise to catch up properly soon!

P.S Just adding new photos...

MaryBS · 30/04/2008 17:46

Praying for that little girl.

Also please pray for K, who starts chemo tomorrow...

DutchOma · 30/04/2008 18:17

What lovely photos Podglet. We don't know whether Bob will continue to improve, but it is not likely that he will ever get back to any kind of full health. It's a bit ironic, because they only did the bypass because he was so fit and would have YEARS of better health in store. Sadly it didn't work out like that. He's been a real star today. I had to go to a meeting in B'ham and he has changed the sheets and cleaned the bathroom floor. AND cooked the dinner. AND recorded the Archers which we missed yesterday.

Praying for you and Bob DO - praise that he was able to help today and prayers to prove the specialist wrong

Great news re your mw appt MJIM - fantastic to be able to hear the heartbeat! When is your next scan?

happy birthday baby dippy Praying all the Dippy's are having a nice relaxing time away!

Praying you feel better soon too SS and that you enjoy your weekend!

Podglet your photos of Libby are lovely - what a gorgeous girl you have . Prayers for you and your lovely family.

I've been to see dsis this evening - she's back drinking again . I found out dneice has missed school for a month because dsis says she can't afford the bus fare to take her there (it is too far to walk - about 3.5 miles). She chose to send her there though so council won't help with transport costs.
The police visited her on Monday with the welfare officer to ask her why her dd wasn't going to school. Funnily enough, she went back the next day! Dsis is out of control again, drinking Cider now instead of wine (cheaper) and having withdrawal symptoms first thing in the morning if she doesn't have a drink.
We're all going to Florida next week - dsis is worried that she has to drink a certain amount to control her withdrawal symptoms and is scared that she won't be allowed on the plane because she will be too drunk. Please God intervene in their lives and help dsis to help themselves.

podglet · 01/05/2008 12:41

Happy Birthday to the littlest Dippy. Have a fab day and a lovely holiday to all the Dippies.

SS - so pleased to hear you are more "boing-y"! How is DD?

DO - what a lovely DH you have May I borrow him as my Kitchen floor could do with a scrub?! Such a shame that the op didn't have the right outcome, I too had no idea just how poorly he was, lots of prayers for you both.

CC - Thank you! She's being a monkey today, much rather sleep on mummy's shoulder than in her basket nip that in the bud I think (though the cuddles are lovely!)

podglet · 01/05/2008 12:43

Whoops, clicked post before I had finished!

Sooz - hurrah for your working computer! DS bounces up and down on the spot when you ask him what Tiggers do

MJIM - Lovely that you got to hear the heartbeat, it's wonderful isn't it? Prayers continuing for your GMIL.

MaryBS · 01/05/2008 19:44

SS, feel free to email me, I'm honoured when people ask me questions

Not sure if you'll be able to see it, but I've bought myself a cassock off Ebay:

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190216541467

I'm quite pleased with the price because the cheapest budget cassock is about £120, and they generally cost a lot more. Please offer up a prayer (silly really) that it fits . I'll finally look like a proper minister (just need to ACT like one now... )

CCM - praying for you and the situation with your sister . MJIM same for you and your dsis...

Swaliswan · 01/05/2008 20:20

Hi Paperchain. Anything that you would like some prayer for?

Hey Mary, have e-mailed I hope that you enjoy the challenge!

Podglet, DD is relatively well at the moment. A bit snotty but generally happy. She has a very sore bottom (due to teething I think) but other than that is bouncy. I think that I need to train her to bounce when I ask her what tiggers do. She started clapping today Libby is making me broody! How is DS taking to the new arrival? DH just sighed when he read that I'm getting broody again

CaptainCaveman · 01/05/2008 21:11

Flying by with prayers and love for you all - yawn, extra tired due to work trip to Harrogate and back today (been at a conference). zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
