Good morning, all, so nice to settle in here with all the warmth and inspiration - keeping up with this thread is vital self-care for me!
Autumn is definitely drawing its' golden cloak around us here - it's a beautiful time of year, but also tinged with a little sadness, bittersweet.

I'm feeling very off-kilter, I think it's due to the upcoming Pisces full moon. Being a Pisces moon myself, I should be used to the energy, but oof! I feel strange! I don't really have any ritual planned, I'm continuing to faithfully light candles every day to spread and send some nourishing light to all who need it.

May the full moon bless everyone with exactly what they need x

Good afternoon sisters

My weekend was lovely. I went to a farmer's market on Saturday to buy apples followed by a woodland walk. Found some beautiful wild snowberries growing, as well as plenty of horse chestnuts and lovely golden leaves.
Visited the 400 year old oak tree in my local park, alas no acorns that I could see just yet.

There was a huge downpour here on Sunday morning so I cleansed my crystals and collected some rainwater.

Made a yummy apple crumble last night for Mabon Smile

The Harvest Moon is almost here and Mabon soon follows!

Have a magical day all.

Blessed evening my sisters,

Love the golden cloak of autumn and the room of requirement type shop reward for following your path.

It's been an usual time here with one thing and another. My partner isn't in good health currently and work is snowballing which is great but there's a lot to keep on top of with the kids, the course, the house and all of the doings of a life. Still I am in good spirits and excited for the approaching equinox. I have my wicker cornucopia in the centre of the table and my new crystal bangles arrived just in time for the celebrations. I will be celebrating with the children. I will get up for sunrise but let them sleep. We'll do some crafts and wreaths to make after school, and will hopefully have a little fire in the garden. My lovely neighbour brought me a care package of chocolate and biscuits and juice and sticky toffee pudding today as it's been a strange weekend with my partner in hospital, so I will make the kids mulled apple juice and we'll have the pudding instead of baking. I will honour it myself later once I've put the kids to bed.

As usual with me there will be a lot of lapis lazuli and tigers eye being worn and frankincense being burnt. I'd love to go up a big hill and watch the sun set but the kids are pretty tired being back at school and it's likely to be overcast. Times like this I wish we had a car.

Would love to hear more about your own rituals and celebrations sisters, if anyone is content to share Thanks

My body aches from gym and short nights but I am determined to go about the housework with a happy heart. Preparations for special times should be enjoyed!

suzyscat · 20/09/2021 19:05

I believe acorns will be thin on the ground this year as the glorious weather last year there was a bumper amount. Oaks tend to have a year off after an abundant one.

VioletCharlotte · 20/09/2021 19:57

Another gorgeous day here again today. I do love September, the weather always seems so much better than August. It was lovely to spend my lunch break in the garden, soaking up some solar energy and listening to the leave blowing gently in the breeze.

AnotherCrazyBirdLady sorry that you feel some sadness around Autumn time. I don't feel, like this, but I know others do. My Mum is the same. I'm feeling the full moon energy too, I was exhausted yesterday evening. Gentle yoga helps or walking outside.
*
Cerridwen83* your walk sounds beautiful, I've noticed the lack of acorns this year too, I normally collect them for my altar. I did find some conkers yesterday though. Hope you enjoy your crumble, I've had a request from DS1 to make one for him...I think he's missing home cooking!

Suzyscat so sorry to hear your partner has been in hospital, sending positive energy and hope they're feeling better soon. Your neighbour sounds lovely and very kind. It's good to hear that you're taking care of yourself and in good spirits.

I've given the lounge a good clean this afternoon, sweeping the floors and finishing off with the steam mop. I like to add a few drops of essential oils to the pad, it makes the room smell gorgeous. I bought myself a bunch of sunflowers and roses to decorate my Mabon altar and I've been harvesting lavender and hanging it up to dry. These little rituals bring so much pleasure.

MoonlightMedicine · 20/09/2021 23:10

Good evening. I've just got into bed but thought I'd share my Harvest Moon ritual.

I have some water in a glass bottle with an amethyst and rose quartz under the moon tonight. Crystals are all out. And I lit a candle outside and went to sit with my mum and dad (their ashes are in my garden) by candlelight and wrote in my journal. I've added a photo. I wrote some things I release, some things I accept, affirmations and just a bit of unprompted writing.

While I was out there I was visited by an inquisitive moth, and heard the gentle hoot of a barn owl!

I then had a bath with an indulgent bath bomb, and meditated for fifteen minutes in there. Never thought of meditating in the bath before but I will definitely do it again!!

Oh also, this morning I made a simple rosemary tincture, or started one off anyway.

So...It's been a magical day here in all respects, and the weather's been perfect.

oonlightMedicine lovely to hear of your full moon ritual, it sounds very releasing.
I fell asleep while moonbathing last night, moonlight flooded my bedroom as I fell asleep.
I always sleep very deeply under a full moon.
Happy Mabon to those celebrating it today, although the astronomical moment occurs tomorrow at 20.20, I feel the energy around for several days.

The moon is absolutely stunning tonight. She watched over me as I drove home from the gym, I stood for a few minutes to bathe in her light. I don't normally sleep very well on a full moon, but I'm feeling peaceful and rested this evening so hoping I will.

Moonlightmedicine thank you for sharing your moon ritual with us, how lucky you were to hear an owl!

Speakout like you, I'll be celebrating Mahon tomorrow. The energy feels wonderful at the moment, I'm really enjoying getting out for walks everyday and in the golden autumn sunshine, watching the colours change day by day.

Don't you love a bit of magical synchronicity!

VioletCharlotte I love hose photos- sparking with juice! Is that your garden?
It will be a day of reflection and celebration here, thinking of all the things I have learned his year, and thankful of the wonderful support of my tribe of wise women here.

I have taken water energy closer to me this year- one that is not always within easy grasp.
I am looking for some artwork for my house to support and inspire me- I am thinking about ripples on water. We can't always change difficult situations, but I love the idea of ripples of personal energy moving out and affecting those we touch. And reminder to keep my cup full. If any of you eagle eyed sisters see anything on your travels- give me a shout please. Often places like the range or Ikea have great inexpensive artwork.

Mabon blessings everyone. I’m taking some things to the charity shop and then having a walk through the park, hopefully I will collect some things to display on my fireplace.
Looking forward to some cinnamon apple pie and custard with my husband tonight. Have a lovely day all 😊

BlankTimes · 22/09/2021 14:28

Mabon Blessings Everyone! It's a delight to hear about everyone's plans and wishes.

Speakout there are loads of pages on ripple photos here, it may give you an idea of what to look for, or like me you can just lose yourself in the 'wow' of them for a while Halloween Grin

Evening sisters,

I love meditation in the bath @MoonlightMedicine! It's the one space where I can do it interrupted. This evening I had a gorgeous bath bomb in my bath that was gifted from my best friend. I always bathe in the dark, however tonight, the bathroom was filled by the light of the moon.

I've got my crystals out on the windowsill, I intended to do it yesterday but I was exhausted. I listened to my body and soul and put my respite first.

Sending blessings to all of you 🌕

Mabon blessings to you all :) we made a Gratitude Garland this evening and I went for a lovely walk through the forest this morning to celebrate the arrival of autumn. Sadly ran out of time for a special meal but I'm going to aim to have an apple cake made for tomorrow's supper.

hilariousnamehere · 23/09/2021 02:14

Slightly late Mabon blessings to you all, wise wonderful women.

My celebrations were low key but reviving - late night outdoor tea and a long overdue catch up with a dear friend, and making this beauty into a dashboard for my main Filofax for the next few weeks. I like to change them up with the seasons, dates and my moods - and changing the front one means I see it several times a day. This one makes me think of you all here and my RL witchy friends Halloween Grin

Wonderful to hear of the Mabon celebrations and rituals.
It has been low key here, but I have enjoyed having the full moon and mabon so close together. The energy has been higher and more concentrated.
It is a dark and stormy morning here feels like quite a shift. The wind will be blowing leaves from the trees, although the full autumn colour is yet to develop.
I have a yoga class later this morning, a little gentle and slow for my liking, but it is just two miles away in my nearest village, and the teacher has a beautiful energy. It is always worthwhile to take a beginner class, going over very basic poses even after decades of practice always yields a fresh understanding.
I have been feeling a little overwhelmed with external energies this week, reading news stories is quite grim right now- so many challenges and problems. I need to focus of finding my own personal safe space and protecting myself from all the worry and concern that seems omnipresent.
Coffee finished, just about to have a shower, do some glamour magic and start my day.

Greetings to you.

I managed to celebrate mostly in the way that i intended. Good food was eaten, i caught up with a good friend.

My ceiling currently looks like this:
I have nature scattered about acorns, conkers, beech nuts.

I have collect some white beam berries that i am going to make into charms and dry.

And i have a new plant identification app on my phone that is bringing my heart joy.

Pannage has started in the New forest and I am planning a trip down to see the autumn in its beauty.

@HillsBesideTheSea your ceiling is beautiful!

MoonlightMedicine · 23/09/2021 21:08

Yes @HillsBesideTheSea it's stunning!

I finally made my Dutch apple flan, I just didn't have time yesterday. We are vegan so I had to veganise the pastry, which was much easier than expected. I've not made this cake for years. Full of cinnamon and apple, so perfect for mabon.

I hope you've all had a good day and that the sun has shone on you.

I know exactly what you mean by the news, I feel rather overwhelmed by it all today too. I've been quite successful in blocking it out and have been going around quite happily in my own little bubble, but it seems to be getting to me today. I'm tired which doesn't help, so I've just had a warm shower and heading off to bed shortly. As you say, we need to protect ourselves and feel safe.

Reading all your posts has helped me lift my mood. It's lovely to hear about how everyone is celebrating Mabon. I went to a special ceremony last night, we all dressed in organge, did some gentle yoga, chanting, card readings, had tea and cake and enjoyed a relaxing gong bath. At the very end, the moon appeared in the window, it was all rather magical 💫

speakout · 25/09/2021 11:23

Good morning sisters.
Now that I am finally getting to grips with my iphone ( DDs old phone)
I wondered if anyone can recommend any good witchy apps? My yoga teacher is a wild sea swimmer and was talking about how useful her tide app is on her phone, so she can plan safe swims.
I woud love a moon tracker, or an app that can serve as an almanac with daily planetary observations/aspcects, reminders of sabbats or feativals, interesting dates.
Does anyone use a witchy phone app?
