Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

I do speakout :) a whole folder full! Wild unknown isn't available any more I don't think, but the others are a mix of free and paid. Hopefully photo will work.

I had a very late night last night and am trying to drag myself out of bed to set my feather collection out to dry before I go to meet a possible client. Washed them all in boiling water last night in a fit of usefulness!

That is great hilariousnamehere I will have a loook at those.

Just upscaling my witch habits at the moment, I find this time of the year very inspiring!

Sadly I'm not iPhone so not sure which will be available - but phases of the moon is wonderful :)

I pre-ordered the pocket version of the Wild Unknown deck today and also got the very last copy of Oh magazine in the post - bittersweet as it's one of my favourites and often has magical leanings in its content. One day I'd love to start a magazine about all the things I love, for the kindred spirits in the world, but they're tough to keep going financially in today's world :(

Hope you are all having wonderful Saturdays!

hilariousnamehere · 25/09/2021 12:34

Ha, I meant to preface that with me too - autumn always puts a spring in my step and makes me want to check in with witchery and magic and journalling Grin

VioletCharlotte · 25/09/2021 12:37

Speakout the only witchy apps I really use are the moon phase one that Hilarious posted and also a plant identifier (not strictly witchy but very useful!) I love using it when I'm out and about.

Busy day yesterday in the garden. I've returfed a couple of patches in the grass and cut back some bushes that were getting a bit unruly. The news was making me feel a bit anxious yesterday, but being outside worked it's magic and I feel much calmer and more grounded today. Heading out for a long dog walk in the countryside with a friend in a minute.

Love to you all for a peaceful Saturday.

MoonlightMedicine · 25/09/2021 13:01

I use Moonly and Labyrinthos (tarot)

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/09/2021 13:10

violetcharlotte i also love my plant identification app.

I am working on decluttering and sorting my physical space.
Still drowning in stress.

Have only just given into the smart phone thing, so not got into the world of apps really. so this is interesting information, and perhaps something i need to make time.

hilariousnamehere · 25/09/2021 13:55

Ooh Violet and Hills, would you mind sharing your plant app names? I find choosing apps utterly overwhelming but was thinking on my walk yesterday how much I'd like to know a bit more about the plants and trees I pass, aside from the obvious ones like an oak tree :)

hilariousnamehere · 25/09/2021 13:58

Hills I am working on my phone being a tool to enhance my life rather than taking it over, and apps like these really do make a difference in a good way to daily life. Means I can pick things up at odd moments when out and about - just trying to lose my habit of picking it up first thing before I've even got out of bed!

Sending calm vibes to balance the stress - I think the physical decluttering sounds like a great way to tackle that, I am usually surrounded by chaos but think more clearly when it's organised and tidy.

speakout · 25/09/2021 14:15

Thanks for tha ap suggestions- I am checking them out.

Clearing out stuff helps me with stress too.
I have just cleared out a cupboard at the top of the stairs, it feels good to have a little more space. I had way too many blankets and a pre lit artificial christmas tree, curtains I don't use any more,so all packed up for the charity shop. Also some pillows that have seen better days. Five big bags of stuff to leave the house. And I can see the floor again in the cupboard.
It's my attic that is the stumbing block, when we moved here i stuffed so much up there, kids artwork from school, photos, clothes, toys, suitcases, Halloween and christmas decorations.
The attic is large but unfloored and covered with insulation so hard to find the "safe spots" to walk. The hatch is tiny too and teetering on the top of a ladder while trying to manhandle big or heavy items is hard.
I will maybe sart with seasonal things first- give my Halloween things a good clear out, then christmas when the time comes, and do one or two extra boxes or bags. I can't see it getting done in an instant- and so many memories too tied up there- makes for slow work.

the plant one i have is plant net, they also have a bird song one.

Hilarious - that is my plan for my phone. my biggest time suck is duolingo atm. and i console myself that at least i am learning something with it. I am considering a reading app service, and have one i like the look of but i have another year of studies so in two minds as to the timing atm

Evening sisters and belated Mabon blessings!

I had a rather stressful week at work and am glad it's now the weekend!
I did manage to bake a delicious apple and cinnamon crumble for Mabon, as well as give thanks whilst taking a wonderful ritual bath.
Decorated our altar with natural autumn decorations and newly charged crystals.

The weather here is still very warm for late September, its obviously the last few days of summer clinging on before autumn fully arrives.

I have spent a rather lovely restful day in front of my favourite films, and planning on another woodland walk tomorrow.

Have a blessed evening everyone.

Aerwyna · 25/09/2021 19:47

Lovely to catch up as ever and hear everyone’s equinox happenings. Thank you also for all the wonderful photos shared.

Interesting to hear about everyone’s apps too! I have Picture This for plants, it’s not always accurate but a good place to start. Also SkyView Lite for identifying planets and constellations, Megalithic Portal pocket guide and View Ranger for finding energetic places!

I’m another one who feels more inspired at this time of year and plan on upping my magical activities once I’ve settled in to my new routine. I’m enjoying my new work and lucky that it’s in a beautiful setting. I can feel my energy shifting despite the usual stresses and concerns. New starts and this time of year feel right together to me.

I can relate to the urge to clear out too, I think it’s the energy shifting of it. speakout your attic situation sounds very similar to mine. I’d like to get it all sorted too.

Violet your day in the garden sounds just the thing you needed. You’ve inspired me to get out and do something in the garden myself. I’ve been cutting back lavender too. I like to leave it until the bees lose interest.

I’ve enjoyed reading about everyone’s walks in natural places, seasonal food and magical practices. Thank you all for all you share

Wishing everyone a peaceful evening

TotoAnnihiliation · 25/09/2021 20:36

Good evening sisters,

I was lucky enough to catch the sunset in the park this evening. There is something special about an early autumn sunset. It was the perfect end to our exploring which included a good old fashioned game of Pooh Sticks with DH and Mini Toto.

Ahh gorgeous sunset Toto and poohsticks holds very happy memories for me 💙 I love how you've caught the sun's rays!

I also snuck in a sunset this evening after a beach walk with a client and then a bit of beachcombing for me Grin

Gorgeous picture @hilariousnamehere, I hope you had a paddle!

BrightYellowDaffodil · 25/09/2021 23:20

Hello again all, and belated Mahon blessings! The Wheel does seem to spin faster sometimes and time gets away from me...

While I'm absolutely not ready for Winter yet, the beginnings of Autumn are, as ever, ethereally beautiful. I went blackberry picking across the fallow fields tonight and watched the mist rise in the last of the light as I did. I love it when fields are left to nature, especially the little deer paths that develop. (The blackberries were turned into a hazelnut pastry galette with a mascarpone custard). I'm still not happy about it being dark at 6am, though!

I did manage to make it to Glastonbury on the Equinox and thought you might like to see the Chalice Well dressed for Mahon:

More great suggetions for apps- thanks so much. Aerwyna I am glad you are enjoying your new job- it sounds a very magical place. I too am enjoying this wonderful autumn chat, TotoAnnihiliation and hilariousnamehere those sunsets are beautiful, full of gold and enchantment. BrightYellowDaffodil your pudding sounds delicious, I am trying to cut back a little right now so I can get a new dress for my DDs graduation in a few weeks' time. Tha Glastonbury photo is very special, not a place I have visited, I would love to. It is such a long way for me.
Despite Scotland being darker than the South during the winter months I enjoy it. Pressure is off to do stuff, no haring about I find the shadows comforting, tranquil. I love the soft lighting, the slow pace, the gaze inwards, I go with the flow in the months of hibernation!.
I am off to a yoga class this morning, I will drop my mother at church then go on to do my own type of worship- a locus in a different place!

I donlt know if any of you listen to betime story/guided meditation as a way of getting to sleep, I find it really helpful at times. I am a huge fan of nothingmuchhappens on youtube, and devour every new episode. I think Aerwyna suggested that a while ago on this thread. I have recently been listening to Michelle's Sanctuary: Sleep Stories & Meditations too, and really enjoying it. A little more spiritual, and full of symbolism and affirmations- I have yet to reach the end of one episode as I fall asleep so quickly. She has dozens of recordings, this is one I enjoyed-

Have an enchanted day sisters.

Happy Sunday!
I just wanted to come and say hello. I haven’t contributed before, but I can’t tell you how much I enjoy reading all your posts.

I need to find peace and strength in my life, and I’m unsure where to start. However, just reading your posts make me feel calm.

speakout · 26/09/2021 10:49

NoWigNoWit a warm welcome, always great to see new faces, grab a comfy spot and make yourself at home.

So i am researching lunar calendars/diaries for next year and I was wondering what you all liked.

I had the astrocal last year and currently looking at the country wisedom and folklore diary this year. But as yet to decide where my planning approach will go. I use a bujo for my day to day organisation so it is more of a reference guide and a place to note correspondances and card pulls etc. So I don't need oodles of space for planning.

What are your go to witchy/lunar diaries/calendars etc?

GregoryHouse · 26/09/2021 18:57

Hi everyone. Long time lurker and commented a few threads ago but then went back to lurking due to a new baby and trying to get my masters handed in while being back at work.
Have really enjoyed catching up on the threads. I agree about this time of year making me feel more 'witchy'. Just some feeling in the air.
I wondered if anyone with tarot experience would be able to help me or give their advice. I've recently picked my tarot cards up again and one card in particular has been showing up a lot either in spreads or as a 'jumping' card. It's the 2 of pentacles and the common description re juggling things etc does seem to fit with my current situation but I wondered whether there was any other interpretation of it from people with more experience!

speakout · 27/09/2021 07:08

GregoryHouse lovely to see you again.
I am not a Tarot expert, but the number two in Tarot is about balance, or choices, especially when it comes to resources, time, energy.
You will be busy with a baby and new job, it could be a reminder to balance all aspects of your life, not just work and caring, but your own need for rest and joy.
It could represent a choice of career move- perhaps a new job or an opportunity for self employment. Perhaps even a house move?

If you are looking for clarity ir may be helpful to meditate on the card, or do a reading surrounding that card, looking for clarifiers and understanding.

It has been a stormy night here, and looks like wet weather all week. I think it is wet in most parts of the UK today.
I have been knocked a little off kilter since the equinox, it is sometimes difficult to adjust to new energies, and last week had its share of drama and trauma.
I feel more calm this weekend, as the autumn energies integrate into me and the dust settles. Despite the dark and the rain I am ready to start my new week.

I have just drawn a Tarot card for myself this morning as I muse and sip my coffee- and you guessed it – the two of pentacles. A good reminder to myself to strive for balance!
I have picked a card for our online tribe here- The Four of Wands. A wet Monday morning doesn’t sound like a usual time for a celebration, but it shows the energy and power of he wonderful women on this thread as we support each other- and that’s something to rejoice!

Thank you speakout! What wonderful energy to take into the new week with us. A celebration of the connection and support we have between us. In moments where I’m flagging or overwhelmed I’ll reach out and connect with this and I know I’ll feel strengthened and lifted. Likewise the joy of connecting to share a happy moment. I feel so much gratitude for our tribe here.

Welcome NoWigNoWit and lovely to see you again GregoryHouse

Hills I had a yasmin Boland moonology diary one year. I thought it was good.

Sending love and uplifting energy for the day to all through our 8am connection

AnotherCrazyBirdLady · 27/09/2021 09:47

Agree with @speakout re the recent energies - I have been off kilter a few days, so am throwing open the windows and having a good clean to lift the energy. Mercury is also retrograde, which is usually a testing time, but this one seems like a doozy!

@HillsBesideTheSea, have you tried an Elfin diary?
elfindiaries.co.uk/shop/elfin-diary-2022-softback/
I've had a few of these, and they were very handy at giving me a quick overview of what the skies were doing.

Weather here a bit of everything - typical Autumn! I'm not a natural Winter witch, so have decided to use the coming darker months to delve deeper into some shadow work, it always turns up nuggets of pure gold.

Love to all! sprinkles stardust
