A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

Another step towards a more organised life and the good feelings that that brings.

DH acknowledging my feelings I'm just the way I needed.

The gorgeousness of DC3 who gives me 7 kisses each night. He makes me feel really loved.

rainbowninja · 04/10/2021 15:31

Fresh vegetables delivered today in my veg box.

DH and I going out for the shortest walk together but the first one in a long time due to my anxiety.

The pleasure of doing a course that has exceeded my expectations.

quinin · 05/10/2021 06:17

That's gorgeous @BigGreen 7 kisses is just the right amount Smile

I'm grateful for old friends who are accepting and don't judge.

For the kindness of strangers. I seem to be receiving this more and more these days.

For quiet mornings.

BigGreen · 05/10/2021 23:08

More progress on the big declutter.

Gorgeous cuddles with DS3.

That comforting feeling of being safe inside in a rainstorm.

Enjoying wearing some fab new jewellery from a local maker.

More steps on the road to a clutter free life, grateful to be able to see some progress.

Grateful to have spent some time with warm and funny friends.

BigGreen · 09/10/2021 23:18

Feeling a bit less stuck somehow.

Learning a lot about how to diffuse sibling conflicts. So grateful for books and the people that write them.

Enjoyed some alone time with DS3, great to be hearing his songs and stories from nursery. It's such an insane privilege to watch his personality blossom with stimulation after spending such a chunk of his life in lockdown.

quinin · 10/10/2021 08:21

Had a lovely day with lots of visitors yesterday and enjoyed spending time with family.

As always I'm grateful for plants, and also for great, restorative sleep.

For a strong reminder of the importance of staying in the present. That is where peace and happiness lie.

BigGreen · 10/10/2021 22:53

Grateful for my family.

Grateful to have a home and be in a warm, cosy bed.

Grateful to be a part of my childrens' childhoods.

Lessstressedhemum · 11/10/2021 08:16

Another bit of decluttering done over the weekend
Ds2 out of quarantine in Thailand and things are going smoothly for him
DD tested negative for covid which is such a relief. I worry a lot about her being ill in uni accommodation where she has no one to look after her.

Breathmiller · 11/10/2021 18:59

lessstressedmum glad to hear about your DS. Fingers crossed your DD stays well.

I have covid and was feeling mighty sorry for myself this morning so I realised I definitely needed to come on here to remind me how much I have to be grateful for.

DH and DS10 for looking after me today.
For good food to help me feel better. (Especially when it's been cooked for me)
For DH listening to my woes this morning.

For mumsnet. Threads of people that I feel I know now who supported and held me this morning. And for mumsnet classics that entertained me while resting.

For a dry warm bed with a hot water bottle. And although i don't often use it, I am grateful for the medication that are easing my symptoms.

For friends and family who have checked in to see how I am.

For the kindness in her voice when someone phoned me from the local council to ask how I was and if I needed any support while isolation. She was
genuinely interested in how I was and was kind and gentle.

For the laughter coming from downstairs as my dh and my boys watch a comedy.

For a spiritual book on meditation that helped me accept today's feelings.

BigGreen · 11/10/2021 21:27

Ahh poor you Breathmiller. I really hope you feel better soon. BrewThanks

BigGreen · 11/10/2021 23:22

Grateful for flexible work hours. I got out of the wrong side of the bed today and was able to just chill for a couple of hours.

Grateful for good food.

Grateful to be feeling more in control, more determined, more energy.

Breathmiller · 12/10/2021 09:44

Thanks BigGreen I feel I've broken the back of the fever today. Definitely feeling on the up.

quinin · 13/10/2021 22:19

Hope you are feeling g a bit better @Breathmiller getting into a clean bed is always so nice when you are not well.

I'm grateful for some quiet relaxation today. It has been good to not feel the need to achieve a zillion things.

For lovely friends calling to chat.

BigGreen · 13/10/2021 23:05

Ah Breathmiller glad to hear you're still taking it easy. Hope that you feel better soon Daffodil

I'm grateful for sharing simple pleasures with the kids, like a dark park walk with torches.

Grateful to have taken more mini steps forward in decluttering. The kids are starting to help now and it's nice to feel like a team.

Grateful to have so much knowledge about health available and stuff like vitamins accessible to me.

Lessstressedhemum · 16/10/2021 21:35
