A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

I am grateful for:-
The morning snuggle with DH today before a day of home-schooling.
The fact we are lucky enough to be able to home school both nippers.
And we have so much DIY stuff bought over the years that we haven't got round to doing that I am not bored at the moment, hurray for procrastination.....sort of.

Breathmiller · 12/01/2021 19:14

Grateful for a peaceful evening after a day of work, house and home schooling.

And for the blue sky day today.

Breathmiller · 13/01/2021 19:41

Grateful for a friend on the end of the phone talking me through the (bloody) tech for the school assignments today.

And for the fact that I was teaching a meditation group at 6. I think I needed it more than they did. 🤣

I am grateful that my dad is still with us and his cancer treatment has been going well since he was diagnosed a year ago.

I'm grateful that my husband has found a new job after being made redundant (twice!) during covid. Which means we one less to worry about!

Today I'm grateful for my dog. For the comfort, companionship and devotion she gives me in uncertain times. She truly keeps me sane!

I'm also grateful that my toddlers tantrums are easing. Or maybe, more specifically, I'm learning better ways to deal with them! It makes our days together so much nicer and makes me feel more bonded with her.

I'm also grateful that I live on a street with such lovely kind neighbours.

frozendaisy · 24/01/2021 14:55

Today I am grateful for the excited squeaks the kids made when then saw snow (finally) enough to have a snowball fight, fingers crossed enough for sledging tomorrow!

Frothy coffee

And blankets.

And that's us done for the day.

A good night's sleep is just wonderful.

Today I am grateful for:

Libraries, lockdown would be so much harder or expensive without them.
Fairy lights, they brighten up dark nights, and they are not just for Christmas!
The gifts I have around the house which the kids have given me when on occasion I have been a little down.

She did, Daisy, and she always drank her tea from a China teacup. She was a creature of habit, my mum. She passed away last year, so this week has been tough for us all. I thought it would be nice to remember her with something she enjoyed.

A new day
Easy breath
