A shiny new thread for a bright shiny new year.

This is a place to pause, be still and count our blessings, great and small. Everyone is welcome, whether you have faith of any kind or none at all.

We would love for you to join with us as we celebrate the good things from loving families to washing drying on the line😁

Wow lessstressedmum big changes afoot in your life. I love your attitude to it all.

I am grateful for wise words from many directions. For the peace these wise words bring in a situation that has been causing me some internal conflict.

For the continual love and unconditional support of my dh and children.

Breathmiller · 19/09/2021 09:21

Grateful for the final all clear from some investigations I've been having over the last 6 months.

Lessstressedhemum · 19/09/2021 16:27

Big changes indeed, Breath. Don't get me wrong, I am distraught, especially at ds2 moving to Thailand, but I am very proud of them all. They have all had so much to overcome and look at them now.

A good drying day
Time in the sun.

Good literature.

Tumble dryers so I don't have to do any laundry over weekend whilst guests are here.

Easy to please kids as far as birthday presents are concerned.

BigGreen · 23/09/2021 22:47

Couple of ticks off the to do list.
Grateful to be starting to see the impacts of the big declutter.
Little DS has absolutely loved his first week of nursery Smile

BigGreen · 24/09/2021 23:37

For a wonderful teacher that's inspiring DS.
That the bathroom is fully finished and looks great!
That I've achieved so much on the house in a short space of time. Small changes, big differences.

quinin · 25/09/2021 09:25

I'm grateful for a new day, the birds singing and a lovely breakfast.

For my lovely aunt letting me stay to avoid covid at home and for the general level comfort in my life, especially flushing loo's! What a gift these are.

@BigGreen that's about your house. Home is so important.

BigGreen · 25/09/2021 23:16

Yes Quinin you're totally right that indoor flushing loos are the best Smile Never tried one of those Japanese smart loos though!

Grateful for a lovely dusky park walk.

A new cosy blanket I treated myself to for autumn.

@BigGreen I had to google the smart loo - my goodness that really is another level! Lots of people dont even have that sort of comfort in there home.

I'm grateful to be able to spend time with my DS. I've had to move out as they had covid so it was lovely to be near him again snd listen to his chatter 😊

I'm also grateful for meditation, it's the highlight of my day.

BigGreen · 27/09/2021 22:20

I hope your DS has a wonderful adventure, I'm sure it's been an emotional time Daffodil

Grateful for sweet, funny DS3.
Positive impacts from new homework time for DS7.
For my lovely sister who's going through a rough patch right now.

BigGreen · 27/09/2021 22:21

Oh no, Lessstressed, I meant that message for you.

Lessstressedhemum · 28/09/2021 17:32

Thank you, BigGreen. I'm sure he will love it and do really well. He's wanted to be a science teacher for a while, just not in this country🙄

So, he has arrived safely at his quarantine hotel and has had food that he has enjoyed. I was worried about that because he has ASD and is quite fussy about food.

Lovely sunny day to dry washing.
Easy meals for ds4 and his gf the last couple of days.

rainbowninja · 28/09/2021 22:18

Being dry and listening to the sound of the rain outside.

Bumping into an old acquaintance and having an impromptu catch up.

New colleagues who I'm looking forward to getting to know.

Lessstressedhemum · 29/09/2021 17:46

A lovely walk in the sunshine between the showers. It's the first time I've been able to go out in the 2 months since I got the chest infection. A short walk but glorious.

Sharing a meal with ds4

Glad you managed to get out and are feeling a bit better @Lessstressedhemum, it's rubbish being poorly and confined to the house.

I'm grateful for having good energy to get things done.

For my dad who surprised me with a lovely visit.

For my new oncologist who seems to be taking the stress out of things for me.

And for music which has brought much joy today.

BigGreen · 30/09/2021 22:57

A much easier week with the kids, pitting in a new routine.

DS3 has had a brilliant time starting preschool nursery. I just love hearing his little stories every evening of what he did.

Grateful to cook a nice meal and eat it together as a family.

BigGreen · 02/10/2021 22:45

Grateful to have some spare funds to buy a couple of things for myself, some little prints to brighten up my office.

Glad to have one to one time with littlest DS who's evolving and blossoming more each day.

Grateful to be able to get away for a few days with an old friend. So nice to have some proper greenery.
