A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration

All welcome.

Back from yoga- a brighter morning and I feel energised- but cold.

I will take advantage of this energy to sweep and mop my kitchen floor!

Not sure what the day will bring- apart from work and feeding people.

I hope we all manage to weave some magic into our day.

In all of the other topics if a question or post is not with the tone you are asked to start another thread. Most threads vary in tone. Posters ask questions, make statements, all sorts of ways. Is this to be an echo chamber.

As stated in the OP, this thread is (and the previous six threads were)
A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration It also states a place for learning. Are we or others new to Witchcraft not able to ask questions and hopefully learn about all aspects of Witchcraft.

Witchcraft is still vilified in many ways. Lets help dispel this then. If there's nothing to hide or anything that may cause harm onto others then lets talk about it, no?

Vitalogy · 01/03/2019 09:27

we communicate from a place of respect. A ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ style of dialogue doesn’t fit within that. I always try and be respectful. Please let me know if you think I'm not. Asking questions, I don't think is being disrespectful.

Elphame · 01/03/2019 09:33

Actually Vitalogy you are being incredibly disrespectful. You constantly disregard the requests to start contentious topics in their own thread.

This is why most of us will not engage with you

Anyway, Happy Friday sisters! Smile

It’s been a bright morning here and I hope to take some time after work to breathe in some lovely sea energy. A friend is unwell so I’ve been helping with the dog.. speakout it’s the lovely collie you saw in the fire scrying a while back. I thought it was a different dog when you saw it but this one has just the facial expression and ears you saw Shock

Glad to hear the strange energy and unsettled feelings of yesterday have lifted for some. Smile

Sending love and healing thoughts to Barton and Hills and anyone else who needs it right now. 💖

Hope you got your mouse issue sorted Elphame!

Blessed be sisters x

I'm trying to discuss, not argue. This is the second time that I can recall in many months that I have ask any questions. So I don't think it can be described as a constant but we are all entitled to our opinion of cause, thank goodness.

So if I were to start another thread you'd all come over there and answer my questions?

speakout · 01/03/2019 09:43

YashmisCrone

Beautifully put.

speakout No, it's not just you. l've been feeling unsettled for a few days now. Nothing l can put my finger on, just not right.

speakout · 01/03/2019 09:45

Lets help dispel this then. If there's nothing to hide or anything that may cause harm onto others then lets talk about it, no?

We don't have to do anything actually.

We don't have to defend ourselves to others, especially you.

Good morning everyone, hobbling in with high stool to perch by the aga again! I've missed you all. Ours has been a house of horrors for the last few weeks with my broken knee, then the whole house took the flu and Dh ended up in hospital with a broken rib from coughing so hard. He's now on the mend (slowly) and although I'm still in a lot of pain with my full leg cast I have got some nice herbs to brew a tea to help and did a rune reading again last night for the first.

Hello to Claredog, Hedgehog and Clairethewitch

Barton and Hills* positive thoughts coming your way

We don't have to do anything actually.
We don't have to defend ourselves to others, especially you. That's true

Some may, some not. Depends how engaging you can be.

But it is incredibly disrespectful to try to hi jack or derail this thread for your own goals.

OP posts:
BlankTimes · 01/03/2019 09:55

Can you not read?

Do you have a deficit in language comprehension?

For the third and I hope final time this thread is A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration

More of Speakouts wise words need emphasis
it is incredibly disrespectful to try to hi jack or derail this thread for your own goals

I would suggest that no-one engages with you further on this thread.

For the umpteenth time, Do feel free to start your own thread pursuing your own agenda elsewhere.

Vitalogy · 01/03/2019 10:00

Depends how engaging you can be. It'd just be the one question.

speakout · 01/03/2019 10:03

I had a lucky find in a charity shop yesterday- it's interesting that you mention scrying again YashmisCrone as this stone means just that.

I was also thinking about *Elphame" and the crystal sourcing issue, when I stumbled across a Miriam stone- known as the Calligraphy Stone and perfect for scrying.

I have a couple of ( very cheap) charity shops near me, one is almost a warehouse, it does house clearances and partly funded by the council to provide free furniture to people struggling to set up a home.
It is an Aladdin's cave- everything piled high in a jumble, and tables lain out with ornaments, houseware, pottery etc. I have surprisingly bought quite a number of lovely crystals there over the months, often just lying in a dusty bowl.
Yesterday I found a Miriam stone- I have wanted one for ages.
I will super cleanse it but look forward to working with it.

Do you have a deficit in language comprehension? Yes, I can read and write, although my spellings could do with a bit of work.

YashmisCrone · 01/03/2019 10:11

Good to see you Loyaultemelie

What a tough time you’ve all been having. Sending much love a soothing energy your way 💖

speakout and Blanktimes well said.

Vitology Your posts have an air of arrogance and moral superiority IMO. To me, it feels like you’re some kind of self appointed ‘philosophy and religion authority’ patrolling the boards with a mission to challenge us ‘lesser, unenlightened beings’ You’re striking me more as someone intent on ‘catching people out’ than someone who authentically wants to listen to and learn from what others have to say. I’d guess this is not your conscious intention, but as you asked I’m telling you how you come across to me

As for further discussion

In order to have a supportive space for all we communicate from a place of respect. A ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ style of dialogue doesn’t fit within that. And that’s what conversations starting with a ‘warning’ or an invitation to defend your practices/actions tend to lead to.

For that reason That’s all I’ve got to say on the matter

BlankTimes · 01/03/2019 10:12

Hey Loyaultemelie I've been wondering how you're getting on.

Sincerely hope the chaos drops to a manageable level soon. I know what it's like!

Which system are you following with the runes? A long time ago, I was very interested but the aetts etc. didn't do it for me. I was recommended a book by Ken Meadows, 'RunePower' stupid title as there's no power involved, but it resonated with me and I worked through it and learned a lot.
Oddly enough, I've not liked any of his other books at all, but I still use the rune one.

It's a workbook though, not a reference, like a (too few in my opinion) few authors of the time, he states it's no good just reading, it's the doing that's important.

Hills have you tried a salt pipe for the sinuses and tight chest?

Need to go and put the kettle on, brews for everyone coming up.

Vitalogy · 01/03/2019 10:17

Your posts have an air of arrogance and moral superiority IMO. Which ones.

To me, it feels like you’re some kind of self appointed ‘philosophy and religion authority’ patrolling the boards with a mission to challenge us ‘lesser, unenlightened beings’ That's not my intention, sorry if you see it that way.

You’re striking me more as someone intent on ‘catching people out’ than someone who authentically wants to listen to and learn from what others have to say. As always, it's the truth I'm interested in.

YashmisCrone · 01/03/2019 10:17

Yes please BlankTimes! Brew

speakout what a beautiful stone. How wonderful that it’s found you. I know you’ve been looking for one for a while

clairethewitch70 · 01/03/2019 10:19

Yesterday I felt really strange energy and was absolutely drained. Hoping for a better day today.
Are there any coven initiates here?

speakout · 01/03/2019 10:23

clairethewitch70

How interesting that you felt that strange energy too yesyterday- many of us felt the same.

I am a coven initiate, but not recent and I haven't done and coven work for decades. I prefer to work alone now.
There are others on this thread that do work in covens, hopefully will be along soon.

OP posts:
clairethewitch70 · 01/03/2019 10:26

I have never heard of a Miriam stone before. Do you use it as a grounding stone?

speakout · 01/03/2019 10:28

clairethewitch70

I use it for scrying, gazing into the stone conjures up images.

OP posts:
clairethewitch70 · 01/03/2019 10:29

I have been practicing solitary Wicca since 2001 and have recently joined the study path of a coven and am so excited and looking forward to my initiation.
