Thank you for sharing, speakout, Yashmis and others. A new thread with moving posts about relationships and life changes and also a baby cactus... it’s a good place to be.
By the way, I just came across an interesting post over in the ‘Don’t put parsley in your vagina’ thread in Feminism Chat! Someone saying that a lot of traditional herbal medicinal plants were valued because they could induce abortion, and that this was part of the reason that practitioners might be persecuted for witchcraft, they were women helping other women to control their own fertility. Does that sound true/plausible, to those who know more about those things?

I can;t join in with this conversation. It is too difficult for me for reasons but I did just want to respond to this

Yes Actually I have come to the conclusion that this is possible. Otherwise why did I feel no fear in a situation where I should have been terrified daily. I just hope to become that person who can do that shadow work to help the little me when I needed it. I am not there yet. Not even close.

The energy certainly can reach back and forward in time, think of the timespan you want to work in as a wheel with the 'now' you at the hub and the timeframe you want to work within around the hub so you can send your energy to yourself (or whoever else you'd like to send to) at a specific time or at several times, past present and future.

Kizzy anyone who could cure people or animals using herbs or only energy would have been set apart and looked at askance simply because of that. Herbal lore wasn't seen as a skill by some, mysoginistic tossers it was portrayed as the Dark Arts because it took the aforementioned tossers' control of the population away.

I'd doubt if they'd thought about it as deeply as fertility issues, their aim was total control.

No, it needs to be discussed and it will be there when I am ready to come back to it. I just can't contribute to the discussion iyswim. There is nothing to be gained from avoiding hard discussions because someone might find them hard, especially when handled so well.

Also I have had a shit day, and there were tears at work. You haven't triggered that with your posting. Continue with the discussion as needed and flows. It is important.

Most of us have gone through difficult times, it will pass, be patient with yourself, you may be closer than you think to a resolution.

When I was at my lowest in my life I couldn't see the light in the sky, but the turnaround started quicker than I expected.
Please take some strength from here, we want to support you in a gentle way, and a way that is right for you.

....but I have come here to say that my new grandson is a week old! And, of course, beautiful..😍

There's a Total Lunar Eclipse - where the Moon goes the colour of a new shiny copper coin.
It's in the wee small hours of Monday 21st Jan and it's a supermoon as well.
11 minutes past 5 in the morning of Monday 21st Jan is the totality time.
It starts at 04.42 and ends at 05.44, so if you need to get up in the wee smalls, have a look out of the window.

@queenrollo - I was so interested in what you had to say about hypnotherapy. I have done some deep work with people on their inner child as a Hypnotherapist myself. It is so powerful.

@Hills - yes absolutely, energy can reach back in time, and it is possible to send it into the future. Time is an illusion, it is not linear. It is possible to work with ancestral lines to clear issues in the past, and that then resonates into the future in a knock on effect.

@Gigg - what a wonderful happy time for you and your family. Babies are the best.

I'm just pottering in to say that hypnotherapy changed me last year. Part of it was acknowledging the real me deep down inside and confronting the things that gave me anxiety and sadness.

I felt that it had helped shortly after the sessions. I now feel how much it has helped since I have gone back to work. The things that would have bothered me and made me upset no longer bother me, I can rationalise them with a voice of experience and I no longer take work stress home. It's been a revelation!

I've heard great things about hypnotherapy. A friend of mine had some last year, she said it was life changing.

Speakout I'd love to be able to make things like smudge essences and candles, would you mind giving me some tips on how to get started 🙏

It’s a beautiful bright day here and there’s definitely an Imbolc vibe around

Really interested in the idea of doing work to heal ancestral troubles and the working of magic through time. Hearing about your powerful shadow work has really got my cogs turning speakout I have clear memories as a child of talking to a ‘past’ and ‘future’ me. I can’t remember what I said though! Since the conversation here last night and reflecting on that I’m really drawn to more of this work.

Also loving all these powerful stories about hypnotherapy. I’ve never been to a hypnotherapist. My only experiences are journeying type meditations and I’m not sure that’s the same thing. A number of years ago when I was having a rough time I couldn’t sleep and I was looking for a self hypnosis sleep cd I thought I had somewhere. I couldn’t found it but found this one that I’d bought in a charity shop for work:

I listened to it every night for at least a month and it turned out to be just what I needed at the time!
