A long phone call with a stressed DS1 (at university) after which he said he felt much better and sounded positively cheerful. Lately I've worried that I don't know the right thing to say and I'm so glad that our chat helped.

Colleagues who are kind, supportive and lovely to work with.

The whole family (save DS1) being home at the same time and sharing the evening meal.

I was able to cheer up a tired, hungry two year old (and her mum) by raiding the secret biscuit store at work. It's a while since I've been the mum of an inconsolable toddler but it was so satisfying to be able help.
