Daily Gratitudes 2018

Lessstressedhemum · 31/12/2017 18:14

A new thread for a new year.

A safe, quiet place to pause, breathe and count our blessings, great or small. Everyone is welcome: of all faiths or none at all, whether you post regularly or just once, whatever you are grateful for, you are welcome here.

We would love to share all the things that bring us joy or just make life a little more bearable.Flowers

A marvellous job done by some highly-recommended workmen (and the savings to fund the project, which was unavoidable).
Crocuses peeping out and brightening the area.
A relatively restful week in prospect.

This is a lovely calm thread. Is it ok if I join you? I’ve been conscious of the power of gratitude and find it feels better if I state them to others. I did have a daily gratitudes Facebook group but no one else is left really.

Today:

  • a fairly good night’s sleep
  • my DH and children
  • a warm home
  • novels

Making a scrummy cake with one of my dearest young relations.
A phone call from an old friend who was in town at short notice and being able to fit in a couple of hours catching up.
A warm home.

(I agree that kindness to sleepy dragons is an admirable trait in a person, Blerg !)

The ever reliable lessstressed and optimist for their continued gratitude.

The NHS... always. The staff go above and beyond and are not treated particularly well in return. Grateful to all of you.

Good health and the health of my children. It’s not guaranteed but enjoying it whilst we have it.
