DS1 and DDil safely back home after their New Year travels
DS2 settling well at his new job
a quiet morning (fibro is acting up and I am sore and shattered)

Watching my daughters and son spending time together, seeing signs of them growing up.
My lovely husband as always supporting me and pushing me in his gentle way.
My daft colleague for feeding me coffees and making me smile when I was struggling with motivation today.
The beautiful clear dark evening that reminds me how lucky we are to be living.

The time of reflection that winter brings
The natural cycle of the year
The slowly lengthening days.

Having breakfast with my beautiful family.
Hearing the birdsong first thing.
Enjoying the sunrise.

Beautiful crisp, clear winter weather
Fresh. cold air
a warm house to come home to

• Waking up fit and healthy & a healthy pregnancy so far
• Getting a picture of my son & husband (he's working from home today and decided to keep lb at home with him instead of nursery)

Today I'm thankful for the nhs and the staff today who treated me for precancerous cells.
I'm thankful for my youngest dcs df who supported me through it and who's currently taken over looking after all my dcs including the ones who aren't his while I feel so rough.

I hope you feel better soon, Lost and that all is well. It's great that you have support and that your dc's dad has stepped up to the plate.

Literacy and numeracy

Rubbish telly
A good night's sleep
Toasted crumpets for breakfast

shelter from the weather
enough nutritious food for my family
the strength of faith

A warm house
no need to leave the house today

Found you! (It only took nearly three weeks )

Waking up rested after a good night's sleep.
Clear blue sky and warm clothing to counteract the cold.
The sight of daffodils in flower whilst I was out today.

I love daffodils, they just shout Spring

Central heating
Warm clothes
Two families will eat tonight thanks to my wee foodbank and the generosity of others.

Herbal tea made using some homegrown herbs
A warm, soft shawl
The evenings are getting lighter.

Yes, the lighter evenings are just about discernible and a welcome harbinger of Spring.
Beautiful blue hyacinth filling my kitchen with colour and fragrance.
Tasty supper cooking in the oven.

FInally, a washing drying day
herbs drying from my curtain poles - that freaks my mother out in case anyone can see them hanging!

Sounds like a joyous event, Less!

It won't be very traditional, Optimist, but fun nonetheless. I will do haggis etc. with my BB tonight, they will all hate it and make sick noises at everything, then I will have whisky when I come home!

I love an excuse to wear tartan and go about singing Jamie Come Try Me and My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose I love Burns' poetry as well. My DS1 was a champion Burns' speaker at music festivals etc., the rest of my offspring, sadly, are not interested
