My health. My body which despite its many imperfections and size gets me from A to B on my trusty bike, lets me play with my kids, and puts up with all the abuse I thrown at it without falling apart. And my mental wellbeing too.

This is my first time on this thread.

I'm thankful for:

A lovely helpful thoughtful productive doctor appt for DD
Cheery caring colleague
The fact that there will be chocolate at the end of Lent

The wonders of technology- comforting podcasts and audiobooks through lonely nights without much sleep, coffee, seeing my my goddaughter
grown up, thriving and contended 😊.

2 days off to enjoy the end of half term with the DC

Time for myself
Tea and crumpets
Family.

Time, peace, coffee, hot water bottle.

Doctors, nurses and the NHS - for yesterday; and a couple of hours rest and reading time today.

Haha. Reading time. Sleeping time more like.

Sunshine and flowers.

Back into routines tomorrow.

Grateful for a lovely, peaceful and happy half term with DC
The chance to have spent some good times with elderly relatives this week
And for DH's sudden (after 20 years) enthusiasm for an adventurous long haul holiday.

God's grace and mercy.

On a day when I am travelling a lot and keeping 'appointments' in 3 different cities, I am grateful for the amazing functioning infrastructure of our first world lives that makes the practical parts of living so easy, so I can focus on the emotional stuff - some of which today will be fun, some rewarding, and some draining.

Well, had a dreadful halfterm to be frank (1st world problems) and glad to be back in the routine, glad also for healing power of water, a bit of peace and soup.

Sooooo tired.

Grateful for my job even though I am shattered today.
Grateful for a comfy bed waiting for me.
Grateful for big cups of tea.

Thank you, everyone. It wasn't an abscess, it's an infection in the bone in my jaw up near the hinge

The lovely teachers at DD1's school who were full of praise for her this evening. Proud mum moment.

I think everyone was doing or at parents' evenings last night! My FB is full of them and I was conducting one. Must have been a popular date .

Grateful for my health and strength that helps me cope with difficult days. And today for the sunshine and feeling of spring in the air, and hope for new beginnings that that brings with it.

A recent birthday means I'm much older than I want to be. In spite of her demanding career and young family my very DDIL made a yummy birthday cake, bought thoughtful gifts and cooked a celebratory supper for us all (on a school night). Combined with cards and flowers from dear friends, my day was perfect. I feel cherished, which is much better than feeling young.
