A new thread for a new year. If you would like to pause, breathe and count your blessings, this is the place for you.

Everyone is welcome, we love to see new faces. It doesn't matter whether you have a faith of any kind or no faith at all; whether you post every day or just once: whether your blessings are great or small. Please drop by and be welcome.

I am so grateful that things are looking up again long may it last, for the busyness of the weekend that was just fun, not an escape from anything, for work and colleagues, and most of all for true friends.

KinkyDorito · 09/03/2016 07:01

Off work. Sad

Grateful for rest.
Grateful for blankets and sofa.
Grateful for supportive family.

Lessstressedhemum · 09/03/2016 10:19

Hope you feel better, kinkyFlowers. Fibro sucks. One step forward, two back. Try to keep warm, hydrated and as nourished as you can. I know how hard it is to eat properly in a slump, but it helps a bit.

Gratitudes
Dentists
Rest
Warmth
Easy food

Grateful for health and energy and busyness.

EdithSimcox · 10/03/2016 18:40

Grateful for an interesting and useful mornings work, great colleagues and the germ of an idea to ruminate over.

Optimist1 · 10/03/2016 22:03

Grateful for having the means to go on a long trip to visit loved ones soon.

EdithSimcox · 11/03/2016 23:01

Some evenings I sit down and I realise I haven't been thankful for a single thing all day; too busy with busyness and stress. But of course I have a million things to be grateful for. Tonight, for my comfortable life, and good friends.

KinkyDorito · 12/03/2016 08:44

I've been really poorly this week and the gratitude has slid. So, getting back on track:

Bright mornings.
Time with DH.
Nourishing food.

Optimist1 · 12/03/2016 12:01

For the second morning in a row the sun has successfully battled its way through the mist. Beautiful.

EdithSimcox · 12/03/2016 21:19

For our lovely AP who I shouldn't take so much for granted.

Movingonmymind · 12/03/2016 21:22

Sun, sunny dc, fairly peaceful weekend, friends to share interests with --while dh still in bed again- and chance and proximity to it really helps. Oh and birdsong, daffodils, lovely, nearly Spring.

Lessstressedhemum · 13/03/2016 09:07

Family
Faith
Birdsong

Hope you feel better, kinky. Have been bad the past couple of weeks as well. Sometimes, it's hard to see the good things.

EdithSimcox · 15/03/2016 07:49

I hope you all have good days. less and kinky hope you're feeling a bit better Flowers

Movingonmymind · 15/03/2016 08:49

I need your ability to bounce back, Edith! But hope you're ok??

Today am grateful for warmth, dc safe and ddog. That at least.

KinkyDorito · 15/03/2016 10:31

Thanks Edith. I also wish I could bounce back!

Still struggling.

Grateful for hot drinks, crocheted blankets and naff telly.

Lessstressedhemum · 15/03/2016 12:17

Thank you, Edith, wish I could bounce back. However, there are plenty of good things in life to be grateful for

Sunshine
Dry washing, ds3 reckons I assaulted his nose yesterday, making him smell it!
Birds at the feeders
Faith
Rubbish telly programmes

Sleep
Warmth
That the females in my household can afford sanitary protection
That my wee foodbank routinely gives women and girls sanpro already so that they don't have to be embarrassed or stigmatised. Please consider donating sanpro and basic hygiene items like loo roll, soap and toothpaste to your local foodbank too help give people a bit of dignity.

OP posts:
Movingonmymind · 17/03/2016 06:48

That's a good one, Less, so easy to take for granted and not as sexy as a goat for charitable donations Hmm. Which is ridiculous really as often leads to teenage girls in developing countries, for example, missing 25% of their high school education due to lack of Sanpro and lack of facilities st school Sad. Makes me mad but so few people realise the repercussions.

Today am also grateful for being able to afford Sanpro (even as taxed) , for predictions of a sunny day, that dc1 is more or less okay and that ddog is with us to bring a bit of light relief.

Optimist1 · 17/03/2016 09:39

Grateful for the time I need to do most of the things that need to be done today. I recognise that pressures of time can be crippling for some.
