Grateful today for a successful birthday party for Dd2 despite a very difficult day in other ways...

Hope everything is okay Edith .

Bright, sunny morning with a walk scheduled.
Sunday dinner later on around the little table with my little family.
Hopefully the chance to take some photos of the new things growing.
Air to breathe, sky to look up at, the hope of lighter mornings.

That is lovely, optimist. I, too, am very much older than I would like to be. In fact, my charming DD has decided that I am having a mid life crisis, I am so old.

Very shallow this one, watching my teenage type crush (pesky midlife crisis) on TV, to take my mind of the pain in my jaw, ear and mouth.

Thankful today for a hug with my DP that lifted my spirits, and for the text that finally came from DD1 saying she had got to her friends house and is safe.

I'm near Leeds. Quite a lot is flowering now, though definitely more in sunny spots.

Grateful for NHS for looking after DH so well today (procedure).
Grateful that SatNav got me to the clinic okay!
Grateful for soup, bread, cake and tea (note, no longer low carb...).

West coast of Scotland, kinky, it'll be a while before spring kicks in.

Nearly two very productive work days (after I got going around lunchtime yesterday!) ... If I keep going another couple of hours I'll have ticked many overdue things off my list. Thankful for the ability to concentrate when it really matters.

The NHS - new round of antibiotics to try to shift this infection in my jaw bone.

Brilliant sunshine and clear blue sky this morning (not predicted to last, according to the BBC weather app, but all the more precious for that).

Grateful for a busy productive day, doing my interesting job, yesterday, and for a day of rest today, albeit brought on by poorly DCs.

Still in bed at 10am and sunshine streaming through the shutters.

Well the sun is out again, so I'd better get outside and be grateful for that. Otherwise it's looking like a day with lots to be cross about instead.

I only joined this thread very recently, but am struck by how often sunshine features. More of it here today, washing nearing the end of its cycle and will soon be blowing in the garden. I hope your day proves better than you fear, Edith.

I'm grateful for family. I love them all.

less I just saw "the opportunity to be patient" !! That is awesome, a more perfect way of turning around frustration there cannot be. I hope your jaw is getting better.

So today I am also grateful (for the millionth time) for the lovely women here and all you have taught me.

What a lovely thread! I try to note three things I'm grateful for or glad about each evening as I try to sleep. Family and friends often feature of course, but also little things that mean a lot - like a successful piece of work. Today I'm grateful for the luxury of a hot shower and a clean, dry towel when I got out - and a warm house as it is snowing heavily outside. Hope you are all at least safe and warm today.

Today I am grateful for the people in my local community who do so many amazing and generous things, and the artists and performers who entertain us all.
