Sorry to hear that. Hope you have time to rest and get wrapped up warm. More temperature drops this week are not helpful at all. Much chocolate and tea and nice things on telly .

This morning I am thankful for a number charger so both my phone and tablet are fully charged!
Thankful for a few minutes of peace and mumsnet while I feed my baby, before chaos of school run.
Thankful for a group to go to this morning, and the friend who is going to pass down some babygros.

Hello kinky and less and everyone else. I'm back to try and count my blessings more in lent. Starting with gratitude for my lovely best 'MN' friend who is wise and kind and generous in equal measure.

Morning all!
Today I'm grateful that everyone's awake - should make getting ready for school easier!
Also I have a meeting with a chap from a charity, who will be considering my application for funding to set up an After School Club. This is very exciting, it feels like progress.

Hope you have good days planned.

Thankful today in this very tiring week for my job which not only puts food on the table for me and my family, and a roof over our heads, but is also challenging, rewarding, difficult and sometimes exhausting but almost never boring.

Am grateful that ds is okay, thst I have a job that keeps me busy, provides an income. That ddog is so reliably affectionate and loving.

Evening! I'm having a difficult time at work at the moment, so thought this would be a good place to remember all the wonderful things I am blessed with.

This season of Lent. It's not really a big deal in the CoS, but it is an opportunity for me to draw closer to God and to strive to become more the person he wants me to be
DS3 seems to be taking college a bit more seriously

My gratitude today is for my 3 wonderful DC, who are loving, caring and kind, as well as beautiful, clever and talented (!) and who do something to impress me every day. They are a joy, and an inspiration. Half term starts today, yay!!

Best wishes to all virtual and to help those struggling and or doing Lent and giving up the latter.

Today, I'm grateful for some intermittent sunshine, ddog, a bit of time to reflect. Warmth on a cold day.

I am very grateful for the weekend and half term (even though I am at work on Monday still and have a ton of marking to do). Hopefully I will get caught up and feel more in control.

Time today for cups of coffee, crochet and films.

I am ignoring the housework.

My gratitude today is for my DDad who tells good stories and makes me laugh even when I've heard them all before and who is patient and kind and coping brilliantly with difficult circumstances.

Today, on Velentine's Day, I give thanks for my DP. We have had our ups and downs but we are both still here working hard on making it work, she has battled some fierce demons for me, and she is a brilliant committed mum to our DC. I love you DP.

I'm with you today, grateful for DH. He caught a bus into town on his way home to go and buy me a box of chocolates. That's a big deal for me after his long day. He didn't need to.

I'm also grateful we have some time together today, so will be heading out into the sunny morning for a bit of a walk.

I'm not grateful for the state of the house though, since my massive housework avoid yesterday... Plan to continue avoiding today and then steal myself for a LONG day tomorrow.

Well, not for dh for a few minutes peace, finally, for ddog snd a hot water bottle. Romance is dead, bah humbug! Seriously, it is good to hear that some of you have romance/mutual appreciation after a few years together/challenges/kids. That's positive.

A new day, clear dawn, ddog, lovely birdsong.

Inspired by tuo's lent reading for the day, I am grateful today for all the ways in which I get support to deal with difficult things - web forums (MN, MS society, Alzheimer's society...), friends, church, colleagues etc.

And I didn't mean to leave God off that list - the psalm 23 type one

Lent and the chance to grow in faith
Shelter, we are back to horrible winter storms
Food and clean water
The chance to help and serve others

Yesterday and today (and once a week all winter) I've been at the local night shelter. My thanks today are not only for the organisation that runs it, the many volunteers who make things go smoothly, and the lovely people who work there, but also for the guests, who make me feel useful, and whose good nature and resilience are inspiring.
