dd has got a fluey virus and ds pulled a muscle playing football yesterday. They're still well enough to bicker though

melsy · 31/03/2004 13:19

Its going around , my dd has that too. Poor little soul , she still smiles at me and then has a hacking coughing fit .

i have just found this thread, i hope you don't mind if i join you...what does anyone think about using astrology along with counselling, it is something ive been thinking about for ages...using someone's chart as a starting off point for counselling them...

spacemonkey · 31/03/2004 13:23

totally cool idea sophable

i think the chart is great reference for counselling, as long as it is read in the proper psychological context

astrology provides a brilliant and comprehensive "shorthand" for talking about psychology

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2004 13:26

i think it takes astrology back to its roots, just like alchemy, witchcraft (pagany type stuff) etc, all ways of understanding the human condition better, and connecting with spiritual side of ourselves...not enough of this in the world imo

papillon · 31/03/2004 13:27

geez I just read that it has been estimated that we have about 90,000 thoughts a day... the majority of them negative!!

I love myself

just reading the experiential guide to the celestine prohesies that has been sitting on my various bookshelves since I don´t know!

suck in that sunshine Melsy - its revitilising

Re councelling and astrology --- sounds like a fab idea!

spacemonkey · 31/03/2004 13:27

entirely agree

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2004 13:35

anyone done (or tried to do) the course in miracles??

papillon · 31/03/2004 13:52

wots a course in miracles sophable?

stace · 31/03/2004 15:29

Melsy i mentioned the kaballah cos i thought you were probably of the faith, cant remember why now? I have friends and family that have and are studying the kabballah but also for some unknown reason seem to have steered away from investigating it further, i guess one day we will find out why the avoidance!!!

Sorry you are not feeling good, do you think it is an overhang from the hopi treatment, if so you should give the practioner a call and just check it out, Wish you better anyhow!!!

melsy · 31/03/2004 17:57

Hi me again!!!

Feeling alot better emotionally.Ive had a loevely shower, washed my hair and stood by my back doors taking in the air and the trees.Agree Stace it may have been from the HOPI candles. I have another session tonight so I will discuss the last few days episodes.

Would like to know about the miracles course too.

Stace I think I may do a search on google for Kabaallah.

Papillon may be you should try my daily emotions diary with just emotions one sentance for each. I have a column for negative and positive , but the therapist wants me to concentrate on the positive more. its really difficult at the mo, but I have found it easier this afternoon. I think we dont realise the lovely thoughts we have too.

Wonderful Melsy ... pleased to hear you are feeling better...
I always feel better after washing my hair these days!

Has anyone ever noticed if their babies have spirit guides... sometimes my dd seems to suddenly be looking very intenting at something and craning her neck all around as though following something... its really noticable and I ask her if her friend is visiting...

papillon · 31/03/2004 18:25

evening, regarding blocked energy, don't know that have but not able to let it flow through like it should...I love lilac/ pink at the mo, don't know if that rings any bells (do feel a little bloated sometimes)...also think astrology and counselling is a great idea.

sibble · 31/03/2004 21:06

just a quickie as am running soooo late but loved the fairy names mine is hex Goblinwand - may change my pseudo to it - it's great. DS's is Tangle Goblinglitter. Am off to tell him. We ofter go for walks in the garden looking for fairies, we have red and white spotted fairy toadstools in the garden seasonally which he loves. Now we can look for our own named fairies.

lavender1 · 31/03/2004 21:46

Was in swimming pool tonight and dd went under water and came up and said "I have just died and am now a spirit in heaven"...ffs dh talk to here about stuff but she seems so much older than her 7 years (I would never have said that at 7)...do you think she is just very intune with everything (sister noted that she is a very passionate girl)...do your dd/ds talk about this stuff? please tell me that they do?

juniper68 · 31/03/2004 23:24

Oh yes Lavender, my DS1 is 6 and is always coming out with stuff like that and asking amazing Qs. When your daughter was born did people say 'she's been here b4' and was she very alert. It's just he was.

Heathcliffscathy · 31/03/2004 23:39

course in miracles is v strange new agey thing...one exercise per day for 365 days ie takes a year to do it, meant to change your thinking forever, i never mananged to stick it out personally...
