Posted this on other thread then scrolled down and found new one.....

The good thing about reiki training for healing is they (should) teach you techniques to protect yourself from negative energy and cleanse yourself and the environment etc.

I believe in spirit guides too, i think everybody has them it's just a case of listening to yourself and being aware of them. About 2 years ago I 'knew' I was going to have a car crash, I could just feel it so told DH. For about 2 weeks I was extra vigilant and had a few near misses (people missing me not visa versa!!) then at an intersection I was stationary and a car didn't slow down and drove straight into the back of me shunting the car with me, DS and my Nan into the fast lane of a 3 lane main road. I saw it happening in slow motion in my rear view mirror and was able to reverse quickly onto the hard shoulder as lights changed and cars sped by.....
Now you could say I had bought it on myself by thinking about it and generating negative energy but I believe I was being warned about it so was calm and able to act when it happened. I was studying reiki level 3 at the time and my teacher said with more 'awareness and practice' I could have protected myself more and stopped it happening.....
Who knows.....
I certainly mentally visualise a shield around the car now when getting into it to protect us and use a number of other visualisation techniques to protect family and home etc.

really interesting thread, keep posting. Shame am in NZ so with the time difference miss the banter during the day.

Sorry sibble havent replied sooner, had a difficult evening so far.

I should have left a message on the other thread about this new one , not very spiritual of me !!

That was an amazing story, I also have a shield, my hypnotherapist suggested I have one to block out negative energy being put apon me by others, esp family asking too much of me or trying to take my energy for their life dramas. I havent yet had much sucess with it even though I am good at visualisation, & I really felt it once in a hypnosis session. I just cant seem to tap into it very well Do you have any tips on improving its capabilities ???

I think its great how everyone is sharing these moments on here. Some of it can be very private and it can be brave to tell others. I find some people are reluctant to discuss it , as there is a stigma attached to so called "new age" people & stuff. I dont really like that term it has too many hippy, Pheobe , head in the clouds connotations.

Is the speaking in tongues you refer to 'channelling' if so an early channeller and interesting to read about was Edgar Cayce. I am very interested in a lot of stuff that you are all refering too and have had many experiences from Poltergeists, witches, healing and loads of synchronicity stuff, loved the celestine (and Shirley Mclaine- out on a limb etc) to a point but something (HHHMMMM!!) has always stopped me finishing it?? Melsy what about the Kaballa??

stace · 25/03/2004 22:13

There are two threads going here its all quite confusing, im going to post a message on the otherone telling people to go to this one but if anyone knows how to do the link thingy?? Might i suggest they do it!

I am so excited that someone else has read out on a limb, have you read any others Stace ??

OP posts:
papillon · 26/03/2004 08:42

Hello hello

I have not read any SM books...
Went to the 2nd hand store recently -- it has a small english section and every book that I picked up was about spirituality in some form or other... maybe it wa priming me up for these discussions...!!

papillon · 26/03/2004 08:46

its been 5 whole minutes Melsy..LOL

I just picked up one of those books... they have been attracting dust (shame on me now!!)
The Stars & the Chakras
Opened to read the blurb... and read this..
much has been written about opening the chakras and in particular of raising the basal fire, the KUNDALINI. The author shows that this is a completely natural process which life itself teaches... etc

melsy · 26/03/2004 08:54

EEEUURRGGHH spooky , tell me more. Was feeding dd !!! Did u read those Kundalini links ?? Do u think they can be what we call panic attacks??

OP posts:
melsy · 26/03/2004 08:54

My own mn record , nearly half hour since past post LOL!!!

OP posts:
papillon · 26/03/2004 09:11

I did look at the links - read some of it... re what people see or experience - which i found like what happened to me.
Also read about the panic attack experience too... glad I was lucky to avoid that!
maybe if one of the chakras is abit blocked then this can make the kundalini ride abit more bumpy?
I had just done yoga when mine happened so perhaps I was all aligned.

I did look at this book when I first bought it but then got a bit put off by their White Eagle Lodge... new age scare I must admit

dd just woke up before... short sleep again... oh well what can u do!

melsy · 26/03/2004 09:24

Yes I believe I have blocked chakra, especially the upper chest area around the collerbone and below the NAVAL!! I am particularly attracted to orange and purple at the moment especially in hypnosis. But I can feel the white light through the crown area when hypnotised too.

juniper68 · 26/03/2004 12:27

Are you on any meds for Panic attacks? I'm coming off mine now and on 10mg of citalopram. Do you think reiki may help them? Or any other suggestions? I don't get them now but I'm worried they'll be back. I wonder if there is a link as I am psychic.

sibble · 26/03/2004 20:16

I am pretty sure I have experienced kundalini once too during a yoga session last year. I had mixed feelings about it as it made me feel very light headed and faint which did panic me. There was a complete feeling of loss of control which I was not keen on. Was anybody else's expereince similar. I guess it's a case of relaxing into it when it happens and not 'panicking' which I probably did.

papillon you mentioned finding a book in the english section, are you abroad too?

at the moment I am trying to practice seeing auras with varying results. sometimes I can see them perfectly and other times just feel like a cross eyed idiot sitting in the corner!!! lucky DH knows what I am doing!!!

Have good weekends everybody.

stace · 26/03/2004 22:26

Hi melsy, i read out on a limb years and years ago and absolutely loved it. When on a bit of a spiritual journey following on from the book which i have a tendency to do from time to time. I never really stay with it as my materialistic/working/tosterony life gets in the way some times IYKWIM.!!!

But it Out on a limb and celestine did take me on a wonderful journey some years ago through peru and ecquador and other places which was simply fantasic.

Did i read one of your posting about arizona??? What kind of connection did you have there?? I also have a fascination with Shamanic healing and native american indian tribal stuff but again have never really had enough ME time to explore this stuff whole heartedly..... maybe one day? Love reading everyones views and experiences, keep on sharing its enlightening and comforting to hear from other like minded peoples!!!

stace · 26/03/2004 22:27

that was supposed to say totesterony, if you know what i mean!! You probably think heres another loopy lou!!!

lou33 · 26/03/2004 22:31
