Hi all
Papillon, I deleted everything in my junk mail box (hotmail account) yesterday without opening anything as am so paranoid of getting a virus or opening some pervy email with DS in the room. Sorry hope it's not too much trouble to resend and will open this time.
This is such a great thread and I love getting up in the morning and reading all your posts while I have been asleep, great start to the day.
We are going away fro Easter, isolated lodge on edge of lake. DH is going to take DS fishing and I am planning on re-reading The Celestine Prophecy, doing meditation and going on walks. Cannot wait.
Have not been doing much meditation since being pregnant but now 20 weeks am going to start again. A friend of mine used meditation and visualisation during birth. She admits it was hardly a walk in the park but easier than her first, her DS was born about 6am and she was up and about making Chirstmas dinner for the whole family by lunch time!!! Amazing person....
Will post more later am off to try to find the poor cat who has been missing for 2 days. Have been working really hard all night to try to contact with him to get him back.... Dh thinks I'm mad....

Hi girls, I also look forward to updates on here for my morning spiritual breakfast!!!

Nothing much was removed in the ear candle thingy , and it was a little uncomfortable. I could hear a popping noise inside and she thinks this 1st treatment may have helped move everything. I dont feel too good , a bit out of whack now.I am very blocked in there!! But she was a lovely holistic women who spent 2hrs with me, when it was only meant to be an hour. How wonderful & giving was that. I have another session of Hopi candles on wednesday.

Hi Sibble
Was emailing to see if we could all try and hook up at the same time.

Will try tomorrow.

The holiday by the lake sounds good.

juniper68 · 27/03/2004 21:39

Hi all,
I bought some hopi ear candles online after having a treatment at Oasis Penrith (UK) They're really easy to use if you have someone who can do it for you. Even my hubby managed. He loves getting it now - hopi I mean
When you open them up and see all the 'stuff' you think it's all ear wax but it isn't, though there may be some mixed in. My mate and I bought the new Audiclean on Saturday. We must've seemed so weird gettin one each It's good though and only made with sea water.

I've just started reading a book called Panic Attacks by Christine Ingham. It has some great quotes, one saying how she's thankful she had them as they've proved a turning point in her life which was givin her little satisfaction (or something like that!) It seems like a good book up to now. She also says that it's the sensitives that get them. One that didn't ring true with me is that people who find it hard to say no are prone to them. I'd say I err on the side of rather assertive.
take care all xx

Just before bed I came to check any messages, see always one of us has to add something. Hi Juniper!!

Sibble is this your first??Forgot to say the trip will be fabulous for u. 20 weeks is the best time. Hypnotherapy is meant to be great way of getting touch with youre baby. Do u have aa names List??I will have to do a time chart , so i can tell what times it is in NZ at a glance. If I get everyones email. I will put us all on a group & then I will send it to everyone. It would be great to send thoughts from the day to everyone. As more people join our chat, we can then include them. What do you think ???

Hope u are all enjoying the weekend.

Morning All - spiel time!!

Was reading your post again Stace about animals in captivity and you asked me what I thought about it all. Well I am great lover of animals and it makes me sick when thinking of the lives that many animals are forced to endure. But there is a sliding scale there regarding the type of captivity - I have been to sea world in San Diego and while the tricks the orca whales could perform was fun at the time to watch ... many of the dolphins and I will always remember with sadness the pilot whale in a very small tank - they would be very bored and depressed as a result. Not into animals performing for the ticket paying humans.

Same with Zoos especially Gorillas I have watched. Some of them do not look very happy at all.

Here in Bern there is a Bear pit with 2 bears. They are going to finally big them a bigger enclosure due to public pressure. but at the moment they really are in a pit for all the tourists to see.

For many children living in cities who never get the opportunity to see many types of animals of course it must be a huge source of excitement and education for them - but wild is best - if they are able to get a chance at that these days!

I heard of a dolphin place in South America (can´t remember where) - they could come and go as they pleased and many did. Now that is a good compromise - I think they could jump over a low wall to go out to ocean. All animals like security but who likes captivity?

Same goes for animals in cages, pens, reared for consumption. I have seen some revolting pictures that SAFE (save animals from exploitation) have published. Not healthy eating I reckon, nor good for the karma.

Its a big issue feeding and entertaining.

I am the same with Zoos Papillon, although I would like to show my dd all the animals. & I do agree with Stace that it is a great learning experience.

We had our final degree show at London Zoo, & I went in once and it really upset me to see them all cooped up and behind bars. I couldnt go back in after that.

The worst 'zoo' I saw was in Benidorm, it still haunts me - the vision of the big cats in small cages. I think the Born free charity saved them though.
We're off to Orlando in July and we'll got to Sea world as the kids will want to go.

AussieSim · 28/03/2004 18:11

Hi Papillon, I am in Germany. I thought I was seeing things when you posted with a bit of Deutsch. I hope to get to zurich sometime, maybe we could catch up.

Thez have a zoo here in dortmund and thankfully they are building a new enclosure for the orangutans, but the tigers and lions pace up and down in their little areas, it is v depressing. They have lovely big areas for their ant-eaters though and a nice big Aussie animal area.

So does anyone know of some reading that relates the star signs of mothers and children with parenting tips. I found a website once while in an internet cafe in Byron Bay but have not been able to find it again. TIA

wobblyknicks · 28/03/2004 18:17

AussieSim - try this

wobblyknicks · 28/03/2004 18:24

Also, children and parents

Hi girls , have taken a rest from the pc today. DH goes mad every time I am on here!!

Interesting stuff on the astrology in children. I have a birth chart programme on my pc, which I am still trying to get my head around.

I just wanted to come back & fill u in on the Chiron subject the phsychic mentioned in my reading. I just sat listening to the whole hours recording of my reading Oct 2002, he was quite spot on with many aspects.

This is who he mentioned I look into further into , Barbara hand clow & Chiron . Still not sure about it. There are photos of workshops and it looks a little cultish to me. May be I need to do further reading of this before dismissing it. May there is a message for me in here???

OP posts:
melsy · 28/03/2004 20:38

OK I have looked a little further for those who may not wnat to read too much this evening.

Chiron is a planet
It was discovered in 1977
It coincided with an "explosion of divination, alternative healing techniques, and a new hope for a spiritual regeneration"

Have to go now & watch Seabiscuit this evening, otherwise bed will be late.

Speak soon

spacemonkey · 28/03/2004 20:41

there's a very good book on Chiron by an astrologer called Melanie Reinhardt if anyone's interested

papillon · 29/03/2004 08:13

Books on your cosmic kid

I got an online birth chart for my dd. I feel it explains her more fully than when just regarding her sun sign, and we can also compare it to mine and dh.

AussieSim - I will have to look and see where Dortmund is. Bern is about 1 hr away from Zurich on the train.

melsy · 29/03/2004 09:26

Was just soo tempted to sign up for the reading linked papillon!! My dh will kill me though!!

Is Sibble online ???

My ears hurt, and feel very hot,& I feel naucious (sp??)I asumme this is the HOPI candles work ?? She said it will make the blood flow go there as she has reminded the body that that area needs healing.

The best online astrology site I have found is astro.com - you can register and store as many charts as you want on there as well as other free things

melsy · 29/03/2004 10:01

OOh great spacemonkey. I will never leave my Pc now !!!

This is cool , thanks for the link , I dont like the creepy face on the left for childrens readings , what is that???

OP posts:
spacemonkey · 29/03/2004 10:07

I hadn't noticed any creepy faces!

astro.com is definitely from the psychological school of astrology rather than the sparkly tablecloth mystic meg school - it's really rather good
