CaptainDippy · 23/01/2006 09:04

Hello - Due to popular demand, I have set up this thread so that MNers can post their prayer requests!! You do not have to be a Christian to post a prayer request, but we Christians believe that prayer really works, so let us pray through a situation for you!! - Let's support and encourage one another through this facility - Here's to many MN prayers being answered!!

Thank you! Completely knackered now. lol, but it was worth every minute

CaptainDippy · 01/02/2006 13:36

Welcome mcmudda and sallystrawberry!! What a wonderful ministry mc - Am praying that God would honour your decisions and that the cogs would start turning in the direction He wants you to follow - Keep trusting - Exciting stuff (am wanting to come and have some "solace" at your place this afternoon, my daughters are driving me loopy!!) So sorry to hear about QueenofQuotes - that is awful, people have no respect and it makes me - in a righteous way, naturally!! I hope she feels that she can some back - it is sad that people should be isolated and bullied because of their faith. What a fallen world we live in, hey!!? Sigh. Continuing to pray for all on this thread and let's have some praise too......

Priase God that my friends Jon and Jenni had a gorgeous baby boy yesterday - long and hard labour (induced three weeks early due to gestational diabeties (sp!) - He is called Alfred Andrew (cute!) and was a whopping 9lb 9oz (man, glad he didn't go to full term, just imagine!!) and 58 cm long. Both mum and babe are well, but Jenni had a LOT of stiches (38cm head!!) and is very uncomfortable - pray for quick healing and fast return home!!

Thank you!!

Feel very lonely tonight.

katzg · 01/02/2006 19:59

Mcmudda - praying for you and your DH
NASWM - thinking of you this evening
Mars - glad the doulaing went well

i'm loving this thread! may the Lord bless you all.

Can you all please pray for a couple of things, my FIL is ill but thankfully on the mend and my DD1 is having a tough time adjusting to her new nursery - thanks

CaptainCavemansMummy · 01/02/2006 20:14

How cool is this!? I just flipped over from reading something on Christianity Today website, and stumbled upon this thread.
Please could you pray for me as I go through counselling, and that when things are bad I can be reminded that there is always hope and God is always looking out for me - it's easy to forget when you feel low/bad/crap etc.

I do know prayers get answered though!!!

Lonelymum · 01/02/2006 20:16

NASWM, I saw your post further down here and started a thread for you in chat, but have had no response yet. You might not see it, so I thought I would post here instead (sorry for the hijack, this isn't exactly a prayer!) Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

can't believe QofQ has gone. I obviously missed that thread - typical. She is one of those people who always sticks in my mind, will pray that God will guide her in the way to go.

Please pray that I will hear about my job offer tomorrow. We have just taken out a mortgage based on my earnings which stop at end of Feb. God hasn't let us down thus far and i'm sure he won't but its scary.

ernest · 02/02/2006 07:53

i haven't even looked at this thread before so feel a bit barging in. I'd really like prayers for my mil who's just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer & it seems to be pretty advanced. And also for us for the strength to support her and the wisdom to make the right decisions. Never been in such a touch situation before

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2006 09:26

Barge away Ernest - This thread is for everyone and anyone who would like some prayer for any reason - Will pray for your MIL - It must be a really really tough time for your family - will pray that strength and wisdom would come. Praying for you captaincavemansmummy and katzg and longwayto go - so glad your fil is doing better katzg!! Haven't got long as I'm just about to go and see my friend and her new baby at the hospital - hurrah!! Keeping praying and trusting - and barging!!

I would like a prayer for DS1's friends new baby brother who is just 4 days old and fighting for his little life. Also to his parents who must be in so much pain right now.

CaptainDippy · 02/02/2006 14:39

Hi pfer - Am onto it right now, that is a heart-breaking situation to be in and I just feel so desperate for that family right now - Let's all pray for a miracle for that poor wee mite!!

katzg · 02/02/2006 16:10

My Dream job is about to be advertised so please pray extra hard for me!

KateF · 02/02/2006 16:36

Just checking in . Prayer list is getting long now hey!
Aimsmum's comment is a little out of place and misleading as the "bigoted" comment was levelled at QoQ many times before she lost her cool. Yes she did make that unfortunate comment but she was hounded to it-the image of a pack of hounds and a cornered fox comes to mind . Still praying for her as she must be hurting so badly that mumsnet has let her down.
Mars-so lovely to read your first birth story, hope there will be many more.
