Christian MN Prayer Request Thread!!

CaptainDippy · 23/01/2006 09:04

Hello - Due to popular demand, I have set up this thread so that MNers can post their prayer requests!! You do not have to be a Christian to post a prayer request, but we Christians believe that prayer really works, so let us pray through a situation for you!! - Let's support and encourage one another through this facility - Here's to many MN prayers being answered!!

Thanks LM. All my friend said was 'it could only happen to you' so feel in need of a bif of sympathy.

I keep saying over and over Thank God no one was hurt. And it's only a metal box on wheels.

CaptainDippy · 17/02/2006 18:52

Pairse the Lord that no one was hurt, but the "what if's! always shake me up too NASWM!! Totally understand and praying for peace about the situation.

Thank you for the update robinpub - I am glad that things are better rather than worse and I'll continue to pray. Such a devestating situation.

Absolute crappy crap about the house longwaytogo - Praying praying praying that things come out right VERY soon - Housing is something close to my heart - so completely with you on this one - Praying praying praying!

Glad you are sticking with us Alliep - Don't know what Christians you've been dealing with in the past, but sounds like they could do with a good slapping - send them my way and I'll do the honours!! Will be praying for the op next week , please please let us know how it goes.

How is stuff in your households Mars and longwaytogo - all that yukky illness?? Bleurgh!! Praying for swift healing. Did you get an extension Mars???

Thought that I would end my post with an amazing song that I think we could all do with hearing right now ........

BLESSED BE YOUR NAME
In the land that is plentiful,
Where Your streams of abundance flow,
Blessed be Your name.
And blessed be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place,
Though I walk through the wilderness,
Blessed be Your name.

Every blessing You pour out I'll
Turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in, Lord,
Still I will say:

Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your glorious name.

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me,
When the world's 'all as it should be',
Blessed be Your name.
And blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering,
Though there's pain in the offering,
Blessed be Your name.

You give and take away,
You give and take away.
My heart will choose to say:
Lord, blessed be Your name.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 17/02/2006 19:46

Could do with some prayers for DH and my relationship - think the stresses of the last 15 months or so are getting to us both and we're on very faultering ground atm /

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 17/02/2006 19:48

oh and some for me too please - struggling to fight off this horrible coughing/fluing virus thing that's going round. Took last night of work (because I threw up yesterday afternoon) and have cancelled choir practice tonight, but am working again tonight.

MarsOnLife · 17/02/2006 20:07

praying for you QoQ.

Please remember to pray for Bubble99. It's her son's first birthday today. His twin died at birth.

Remembering Elijah and Bo

NASWM · 17/02/2006 20:08

Matt Redmond appreciation thread - I like it!!

NASWM · 17/02/2006 20:11

The bubbles much in thought. x

longwaytogo · 17/02/2006 20:27

We are all getting there. ds has chesst infection, i'm just all bunged up, dh is getting there with his anti b's

On the house front its going to cost about £1500 to put right but hey we'll get there eventually.

TBH with what we've been through in the last8 months this is just a tiny blib in the greater scheme of things.

Just pray that the vendor will be willing to pay as no way we can afford it.

longwaytogo · 17/02/2006 20:28

HRH have you seen I have replied to your request?

Hijack over

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 17/02/2006 20:37

hijack reply - yes I have sorry - been really busy - will get back to you

CaptainDippy · 19/02/2006 13:19

Seems like some poorly people on this thread who could do with some prayers for quick recovery - My house seems quite illness-free after a nasty bout of just about everything going so Praise God for that!!

Praying about the house situation longwaytogo - Hope it resolves soon and you can get into your new place and feel happy and settled - God bless you and your family so much.

Thank you for the reminder that we must all pray for Bubble and her family as they celebrate Elijah's 1st Birthday and remember little Bo, his twin who sadly died at birth. We all know that Bo is in a btter place - Hurrah!!

Keep on praying everyone!!

Little request for me ....

Just prayers for an uplifting in my sprirt, just feeling a bit low and exhausted - DD1 has given up daytime sleeps and is therefore a complete misery guts all day long, tough to cope with espcially with DD2 (9 months) in tow - Just pray for renewal of energy and patience and a coming to terms with life in general - Thank you!!

Oh - and getting an ideal (ish) part-time job asap would be fab - Thanks!!

hi, urgent prayer for me please have bad mastitus and anti-biotics not kicking in very fast, feeling pants! on a more positive note my friend has been in labour since yesterday evening - please pray that the baby arrives in the next few hours as her mum is due to fly home tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks.
Twiga

CaptainDippy · 20/02/2006 09:43

Hi Twinga - OUCH!!! Will defintely pray that anti-biotics kick in super super quickly and that healing comes fast!! Also praying for your labouring friend (hurrah - was hoping so much it would start so her mum could see her grand child!!) REALLY REALLY hope the little one makes it's entrance into the world soon - as much for your friends sake as for her mums!! DO let us know - I love hearing about births - so so so exciting!! Thank you for the update - Anyone else????

I am still going through a low patch, which is pantsaroony, but I am hanging in there and trying to trust God. Just wish my situation would change, but I know that even if it did, it still might not answer all my problems - I just think that it would (does that make any sense toanyone!!??) I just need to trust God more. In all things. Sigh.

I'll do an update of all people's prayer request tonight if I can and may be begin a new thread as this one is getting pretty looooooooooong!! (Yey! !!)

captain dippy if you want to chat on msn then I am happy to chat. Often we think a change in circumstances will solve everything when in fact thats what our heads tell us, but peace comes from the heart.

If you want to chat then harryclan4 at tinyonline dot co dot uk

CaptainDippy · 20/02/2006 12:01

Hey all, morning CaptianD! Much better here on the mastitus front, redness nearly all gone - hurrah! My pal had her wee girl at 12.15am today weighing 7lb 9oz her name is Anya Olive Catriona and she sounds just beautiful. Not sure if my friends mum has made it to the hospital or not think she's flying back up here to Scotland on the later flight so should have seen anya before she leaves - will double check later and get back to you! Oh, and we've been asked to be her God-parents , thanks for all your prayers. New thread with up-dates etc would be handy - on dial up here and struggling to keep up!

longwaytogo · 20/02/2006 14:30
