We had another successful day yesterday - above the average numbers of signatures that we would need per day to hit our target by 20th April :)

Don't forget to post under the articles of major news broadcasters or stories about women in particular :)

ScrollingLeaves · 24/01/2023 12:47

73,849 signatures so far

There will soon be 74,000 signatures out of 💯000 needed before the cut-off in April in order to bring about the chance of a debate in Parliament.

So not quite 3/4 of the way.

More and more people are beginning to realise what has been happening under the radar because of recent news stories.

If you feel you can share this petition, other people may be more receptive to signing now the issues at stake are clearer: sex (as in male or female biologies) does matter.

Husband has now signed. Thanks for the input.

We still need plenty of signatures. How do we get more people to become aware of this issue? I only stumbled on this topic quite by chance late one night when I couldn't sleep. Otherwise I'd be none the wiser to what is going on.

Just saw this article in the Daily Mail and commented with a link to the petition.

My comment hasn't appeared yet because they seem to be moderated first. Wonder if it'll pass their test?

Posted another comment, this time with no link but Google instructions to find it. Hopefully, one of them will pass the moderation process.

NorthernLights2023 · 24/01/2023 15:45

Getting people to be aware... share it on social media if you are able

Post it under news stories in the local paper and so on

Sometimes I email it to people who I think might sign from an anonymous email account

Another darling husband 😘❤️❤️

Thank you for linking the article. It is shocking isn’t it that the defence is suggesting the alleged rapist is somehow vulnerable and good because all along, at the time of the alleged rapes, he really had the gender of a woman, and he is now transitioning?

I do think relatively few people have any idea of what has been happening and that it’s only just dawning on some of us who are trying to tell others, but not always finding it easy to explain.

The pale colour of the rest of the U.K. on the petition map compared to Scotland shows how unaware people in the rest of the U.K. is.

Doing well today. Apparently the former leader of Scottish Labour, Wendy Alexander, has a TIM husband who is an economist. So it would be interesting to know what influence that has had on Scottish Labour, particularly in terms of donations.

ScrollingLeaves · 25/01/2023 12:32

Does that mean her husband was born a man and now has changed to appear as though they are a women? Or, vice versa?

Her husband is a man, both before and after

Born Brian, calls himself 'Elizabeth'

ScrollingLeaves · 25/01/2023 14:23

That is surprising If think that if I were Wendy Alexander I would not be backing bills to back people like my partner ‘Elizabeth’ to remove the rights of women to have their own spaces free from people like ‘Elizabeth’, unless I had Stockholm syndrome I suppose.

I'm glad that on LBC and elsewhere, there seems to be an outbreak of sense. The BBC has put the most ridiculous article out on 'Isla' Bryson.

We're now a week beyond the revised deadline for the response from the Government and an explanation for the delay. I wonder how often the Government ignore these deadlines and if there is any consequence for doing so.

Maybe every time they've got a response drafted, there's another story in the news and they realise they need to try again?

ScrollingLeaves · 25/01/2023 19:51

The petition against teaching gender identity ideology also got more than 10,000 and is awaiting a response.

The person tasked with responding is probably hiding under their desk going "no I'm not writing it, make someone else do it."
