That was an interesting idea, Acqua.

It could also be used as an easy, quick husband test more generally. Though that could be too late. It would be a very useful way to see if a boyfriend is compatible.

Some men who do agree may just hate putting their name on the line, even though it is supposed to be private, just like they hate to ask the way. I wonder if there are any statistics about men compared to women on these special petitions?

I think most men would not like the idea of crossdressing/trans Rosemary Times of Nottingham House of Fraser fame getting a GRC and being alone in a ladies’ or the underwear department with their little girl.

The map is fascinating, and also difficult to fathom. I checked out that bit in red in that image you showed. It is Hornsey and Wood Green, Labour, 355 signatures. Why red there in particular I wonder?

The Government must exercise its power under s.23 of the Gender Recognition Act to modify the operation of the Equality Act 2010 by specifying the terms sex, male, female, man & woman, in the operation of that law, mean biological sex and not "sex as modified by a Gender Recognition Certificate"

The Equality Act 2010 covers nine separate protected characteristics, including “Sex” & “Gender Reassignment”. This protects people against sex discrimination and discrimination because a person is transgender.

There has been much confusion about how the Equality Act and GRA interact. This has caused uncertainty and conflict for women, transgender people, and service providers. The GRA includes a provision to amend other laws to make it clear whether a GRC changes the definition of sex for that law.

is this little grouping. I've highlighted the middle of the three. It's even more intriguing than the above one!

Wonder if some of the clusters are in areas with particular religious demographics, or single sex schools or something? Possibly been shared around a local group with particular concerns?

I think the southern areas are neighbours of Brighton? Possibly had enough already with the rape crisis centre withdrawing single sex counselling groups.

Thanks to another thread I have just seen these two OED App definitions of homosexuality and gender, written no doubt by institutionally captured, gender ideologues leading the way in changing our language in order to create mind numbing non-speak and non-think.

Getting ahead of the law to influence the judgement of the likes of Lady Haldane in Scotland recently in saying that “sex” in the Equality Act is not biological.

Not sure what the "enough" signifies there - more signatures still needed.

“Enough!” as in a command to stop the nonsense [of changing the meaning of sex to gender*].

My husband was telling me letting men identify as women was a crazy idea (cos he's a man and he knows what men are like!) for ages while I was still 'being kind'! Now I've peaked him back because he just thought it was a bit of nonsense but once I became gender critical he was shocked to find out about people losing their jobs over this. I keep finding him watching Posie Parker, Helen Joyce and Andrew Doyle on Youtube! (And I got him to sign the petition.)

@Acqua If he's got a sense of humour you could tell him you now identify as a man, he has to call you William, you're going to use male public toilets, ask the doctor to check your prostate and he's therefore now gay. If he thinks that's daft you could tell him he's transphobic and ask him what the difference is between that and Eddie Izzard in the ladies' loos in his pink skirt!

He is! He's not the sort of man who would say he was a feminist and he teases me for being a 'lefty liberal guardian reader!' He has a real mix of left and right views and we sometimes disagree quite strongly but this issue has actually made me really appreciate that he isn't trying to virtue signal or impress anyone. He just makes his own opinions based on common sense and thinking for himself! - And it's obvious where common sense lies in this debate!!!!
