Just read a post about a "lie for death scenario".

maudelovesharold · 02/06/2026 22:17

I’ve just seen ‘this was not a lie for death scenario’. Please tell me that’s possibly an autocorrect fail, not someone who thinks it’s actually ‘lie for death’!

maudelovesharold · 02/06/2026 22:19

Haha! Cross post. Was so shocked, I had to come straight here!

Ha, great minds think alike and all that! But I honestly don't know. Many years ago I worked with a woman who was absolutely convinced it was "human cry" and not "hue and cry", so anything's possible.

I've just seen this on another thread:
"This was not a lie for death scenario"

Lolz

Oops, I see I'm not the only one...

A few months ago one poster described a “Jaqueline Hyde” situation (and was insistent that it wasn’t a typo.

AlbieJiggered · 03/06/2026 13:42

I think people say his as he's - I hadn't thought of it until I heard someone say 'he's [something of his]'

Whosthetabbynow · 03/06/2026 15:19

A chap posted yesterday and described himself as a ‘perspective’ father. His partner is having a baby x

KhaleesiLikeSundayMorning · 03/06/2026 17:19

I suppose becoming a parent can give one a new view on life

Whosthetabbynow · 03/06/2026 17:40

@KhaleesiLikeSundayMorning That’s true

KhaleesiLikeSundayMorning · 03/06/2026 18:06

ErrolTheDragon · 05/06/2026 19:42

Tenants instead of tenets - sometimes from people who I’d have thought knew the difference. Confused

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 06/06/2026 00:15

From a thread talking about gendered clothing where a poster writes at least twice, ‘Calvary officers’ who had boots with high heels.

Whosthetabbynow · 06/06/2026 12:20

As seen yesterday; someone was described as a ‘spoilt sport’.

Not Quban heels?

AlbieJiggered · 06/06/2026 13:03

Were the Calvary officers Pontius Pilate's minions?
