Two examples (like many seen recently) where the ‘of’ error is made by people who show in the same sentence they actually know how to use ‘have’.

See also the use of the past participle instead of the past historic and vice versa - gone/went, done/did.

People say "I done it yesterday" but never, in my experience, "Done you? Done you really?" No, they use "did" correctly there.

"If he hadn't have [done XYZ]" (or worse, hadn't of!) is one of my pet hates. It's "if he hadn't" - there is no need for the extra "have"!

I will get flamed for this, but in a similar vein people always know the correct pronunciation of the letter H when talking about the NHS or a PhD. You never hear "En Haitch Ess"

Bonus comment asterisking the missing letter but leaving it in!

Really interesting to think that being inconsistently incorrect is probably as common as being inconsistently correct.

A nice little eggcorn made an appearance today, a poster worrying that something would "ring the death bell" on a working relationship.
