Bella i agree that dress is fabulous and very chic, and the point is, do you feel comfortable in it? much better to wear something that feels comfortable on you than something figure hugging that you will feel conscious in all night

I am just about still in bed shiney but in need to hurt out a hot drink and some paracetamol. migraine is coming back. :( cant get new migraine meds until tuesday, they are having problems.

Vinny, I feel very comfortable in it. I would never ever go for something figure hugging as I am very conscious of my tum. Last night, I wore a black wrap dress and was constantly holding my stomach in.

Ouch, is there anyone there that can get you a hot drink and painkillers?

Reality, i dont know what to say. you are tourturing yourself over this. You says you should be able to laugh at it. I think if i had had your past experience i would be upset.

You can take it 2 ways:

1. he knows i would be upset and has tried to play good best man and supporting DH but has screwed up and not really done both that well.
2. he hasnt lied or pretended that he wasnt doing it but wasnt thinking straight and didnt make the perfect choice.

I would have found it difficult to be in the position of head bridesmaidd where i am expected to do what the majority and bride want and go into the male strip event. I would be under a lot of pressure to do what they wanted. Equally if i felt it was wrong and that it would hurt someone i loved then i would have felt ill and uncomfortable the whole time. I am lucky in that i will never put myself in that position, have even told my sis i wont be attending her wedding next year. But if your DH feels more pressure to conform to expectations and being a good supportive mate then it would have been difficult.

I dont agree he should have made you make the decision, but i dont think he should have gone and not be honest with you in advance. I dont think that there was really much of a way that he was going to be able to handle the situation without at least one persone being upset. Unfortunately it was you.

He is not the same as your ex. he has tried to do the best in a bad situation. Admittedly in some respects he has got it wrong but he is human and we all make mistakes. Be pleased that at least he has tried. And ffs stop googling. we all know that google can be the work of the devil.

I'm on my phone at the moment so can't read everything as it takes ages to load but Reality no there's nothing wrong with you, I would most likely feel the same but Shiney's made some very good points & makes a lot if sense (first time for everything ) your DH was upfront & honest about it & that counts for a hell of a lot in my book. He loves you & he was honest with you because of that.

Sorry got to dash as I'm typing whilst in the car (I'm not driving obviously) & now feel car sick but I hope you're ok, I get how you feel though as even though I've said the above I know I'd feel the same way as you do.

i never had a problem with past bf's going to these places, even picked one up outside once (he rang and said can you come and pick me up im at 'X in the city', i just laughed and said 'on my way' )
