I am the only adervtiser and I will pull the lollipop ad if they remove the topic!

Octothechildherder · 05/08/2009 08:34

oops - not forgetting totsbots who must be over the moon to featuring on a potty training forum!

mumface · 05/08/2009 08:50

Can't believe this!!, we are being shot at again for using cloth, just like when E-bay banned the sale of used ones!
Why can't they just say no selling on here,I don't see why we can't chat abour nappies & our day 2 day life?
Surely people observing how much fun we get out of it all will ecourage other mums to get into cloth, therefore more sales of nappies. Perhaps they don't like the fact we recommend other peoples sites who have good offers on!
I'm wondering if it's something to do with the discussion of faulty products lately they don't like.

Interested in this thread?

Then you might like threads about these subjects:

BaronConker · 05/08/2009 08:54

That's outrageous! Surely on a chat thread we can chat about whatever we want? What about all those people on the pushchairs chat thread, are they being censored too? I don't think so! Don't see the bloody difference, personally...

i thought the whole point of mumsnet was so that mums could talk about the things that interest them with like-minded people? I don't go on any other threads!

mumface · 05/08/2009 09:03

I'm convinced it's because we are discussing/recommending various websites that we use.The other retailers see it as a free advert for them (even though we are not affiliated with them)
So nobody breath a word about where u get your cheap Itti's anymore

JennyPenny22 · 05/08/2009 09:33

I am going to email them too. Maybe if we all do it - it might get the message accross?

I have just ordered 2 more packs of WN wipes. I do have stacks of wipes but I just LOVE WN double sided wipes, They are so soft, work better and fit perfetcly in my containers. They are not too bad either £4-4.50 for 10 pack, which is cheaper than a lot of websites and they are so much better quality than others I have tried.

AND that means I can either sell my cheeky wipes set or give it to my sister to use when she has her baby. Then she has no excuse not to use cloth wipes!

TheNatty · 05/08/2009 09:43

its so silly isnt it. we can just move to products tho, thats where the pushchair one is isnt it?

i suggest we all start a group on facebook, ive set it up and will link it. just in case MNHQ decide to delete this thread one day and we loose each other lol!

here

feel free to not join us, if you want to keep your RN secret, but this is a closed group that only i can approve members of so do let me know who you are when applying to join

There is already a MN nappy facebook group

JennyPenny22 · 05/08/2009 12:33

I don't think it is because we have been refering to websites, as people do that with every product - not just washable nappies. And that is what the products topic is for.

Trouble is, people won't find the thread in products - even if we are allowed to move there. And if there are no new people finding the thread, eventually it will die out.

IF they do stop this thread, I will probably leave MN as I only occasionally use it for other things, and TBH all the other topics can be found on other sites. Might even go back to netmums.

In fact - we could all move onto the cloth nappy thread on netmums. They have a nappy section (Which I asked for back in the days when I was on netmums not mumsnet!) The cloth nappy thread there is friendly but not as busy as here - which is why I don't use it much.

treedelivery · 05/08/2009 13:48

Eh?

Crazy stuff. Is it MN towers that have a problem, or the advertisers? I don't get it?

TheNatty · 05/08/2009 14:00

ive no idea. they havent really explained themselves have they? has anyone started a topic under site stuff yet to ask why?

OP posts:
treedelivery · 05/08/2009 14:06

Yes -I just posted. AM

Nice to know we don't matter as much as the paying advertisers.

rusmum · 05/08/2009 14:18

I say BS to mumsnet then!! lets all move

treedelivery · 05/08/2009 14:19

TheNatty · 05/08/2009 15:05

i had never heard of itti bittis, now i am going to get one of every colours.
thats litrally hundreds of pounds generated by the time i have done this with a number of products, and other people too?

MNHQ - sorry but ur thick

treedelivery · 05/08/2009 15:16

I might forget aaaaal about magic-alls, UpsyDaisy's, Blueberry,..

Well, everything except Bambino Mio and Ittis. I saw Ittis at a show.

Certain companies to my sure knowledge have used this thread to help them with market research. Rememeber the company I was in touch with about redesigning the print on their bomb proof, old fav but perhaps a little less funky wraps?

A fuzi just leaked!

It's like nappy maddness has hit!

TheNatty · 05/08/2009 16:37

i do hope they resolve this soon, i am worried we will loose our thread!

im getting itchy for ittis..

wastingmyejumication · 05/08/2009 17:21

JennyPenny22 · 05/08/2009 20:15

I just bought 2 brand new UD fitteds with cotton outters from bis and bots! There were only 2 avaliable and I bought them both. Felt a bit bad as I bought them the second they went on but I have been desperate for them and stalked the site for weeks! Can't wait for them to arrive!

twoclimbingboys · 05/08/2009 20:44

I would hate to lose this thread too, but at least there is cnt!

treedelivery · 05/08/2009 20:56

Our skirtie arrrived today. It's fab fab fab. And has a good amount of growing room, but is wearable now too. It just so happens I got her a green long sleeved top that goes so nicely. Fabbo.

I also got a black nappy with a cherry on the bum. Its huge but completes the rainbow! We now have one in every colour! Yay!

Hurrah for fluffy post! Will try upload some pics.

Octothechildherder · 05/08/2009 21:59

Would love to see the photos of the nappy rainbow Tree - that would be really cool!

Jenny - lol at nappy buying guilt

I have found out today the Swindon Nappy Network and Wilts Real Nappy Network are holding a baby show on 1st/2nd Oct in Swindon at the Steam Museum - so if any of you are around, come along.

Patiently awaiting news from MNHQ ...

Octothechildherder · 05/08/2009 21:59
