lollipopmother · 18/01/2009 21:23

Were you due fri just gone tree, or is it fri coming?

FWIW, I tried various curries, loads of pineapple, reflexology, walking, bouncing on the birthing ball thing, sex (uhhhg), clary sage, raspberry leaf tea (although obv last two are just for stronger contractions). Nothing worked, 11 days late

treedelivery · 18/01/2009 21:26

Am due in 2 and a half hours. Feel much more well since about Fri so am not as miserable as was last week.
Fecking HATE the smell of clary sage now though. Urgh.

lollipopmother · 18/01/2009 21:30

I know, clary sage is rank x a billion! For some reason I thought you were due on a friday . Have you got yourself that brown Itti that you wanted? Were you going to get smalls or mediums in the end? My DP got the brown itti for me and it's lush!!

I wanna brown, think medium. I grow 'em big [dd 8lb 4]. Going to wait till bubbs shows up now to give self something to aim for.

Are they working out for you? They are sooo cute I can imagine them not working iyswim?

swampster · 18/01/2009 21:40

I LOVE the smell of clary sage!!! And I'll also be getting a brown Itti Bitti and a lime Itti Bitti and I think a royal blue one too - but I'm holding off till there is a wee bum to put in them next month.

Agree about the medium thing, DS2 squeezes comfortably into a large at two-and-a-half, but they ARE Itti Bitti!

They work pretty well, tree, but I think probably much better on a new baby than on a power-pissing toddler.

lollipopmother · 18/01/2009 21:49

I have the lime and it's lush, I think my favourite though is the purple and also the fuschia, they're both such gorgeously deep colours, lush lush lush.

Tree - Elizabeth was 8lb2oz, she's 13lbs now and they fit perfectly around the bum etc, overlapped at the front atm but she's a skinny mini 13lbs, 18 weeks tomorrow.

AND .... proud pfb moment here! She just ROLLED!! From back to front! Oh, and it seems to have conked her out because now she's fast asleep, no clothes on just stripy babylegs! Aww I'm just too in love right now PFB PFB PFB!

treedelivery · 18/01/2009 21:52

You can't like clary sage. Noooo. Mind you I don't like lavender or tea tree either.

I have a lime/green it's my pride and joy. Child goes no way near it unless has just poo'd and not fed for hours

Have the summer sitting baby fat with little legs stuck out of fab nappy day dream to get me through all these January false alarms.
Have a hankering for a yellow myself.

lollipopmother · 18/01/2009 21:54

I have the yellow ...... ! Not for me though obviously!!

treedelivery · 18/01/2009 22:10

Yay rolling!! ohh the lovely thing. She is a proper lovely cutie, those pics are to die for. Get some uploaded of baby wears itti's!!

What size you using then?? Oooh credit card fairly itching to purchase!!! Greenbaby have an offer on them too........Ohhhhhh!!

18 weeks already. Bless. It just flies doesn't it.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 18/01/2009 22:33

lollipop you must be so proud! M won't even contemplate trying as she hates lying down, just screams after about 2 seconds! but she makes up for it with her "conversations"...

got a 2nd hand itti and received a new jade green and baby pink yesterday (needless to say already used ) and 2 extra sets of inserts. ready to order some more tomorrow! I just love them! she had the used one on for 4 hours the other night and it wasn't even soaked!! and the jade one looks sooooooooooooo lush! I want a lime, a fushia, a purple, a torquoise and a yellow... the chocolate looks so yummy too.... peppermint as well....... no, must limit myself to 3, maybe 4 more.... and they're DP's fav to put on now!

tree I got some stiff nappies once and only way I got them soft again (after trying vinegar etc) was a good tumble, they came out like new and stayed soft too afterwards, I think they were prabably dryed on radiator/sunlight for too long. and hope you haven't got too long to wait (DS was 10 days late, DD only 2, so fingers crossed)

4andnotout · 18/01/2009 22:35

Not an itti but a wacky wrap on my dd3, we love the big bum look

lollipopmother · 18/01/2009 22:45

Sunflower - I am proud! Mind you, she's never looked like doing it before from her front, but she gets one leg completely over when she's on her back but her arms are in the way.

Tree - E is in medium, she overlaps by one button but there is another button available for a skinnier baby. As I said, E is 18 weeks tomorrow but she is a skinny mini, I reckon a chunkier baby with less weight could easily get in the medium too so I would personally go for mediums rather than smalls. I have some pics of E in her Ittis on my facebook if you want to add me (full name is on my emails)

treedelivery · 18/01/2009 22:57

4 - have just had good rifle through your album hope you don't mind! Christmas looked such fun for those girls. Am really pleased we went for another [had only child thoughts for long time].

Lollipop, am techno incompetent but will see what I can do re facebook. Not sure if I'm on that. Am so hopeless at this new fangled stuff. Thank you for asking though! My dd1 was heavyish [8lb 4oz] but then light and skinny minnie too. Given our name thing as well there're some cosmic forces at work here in the coincidence way!

4andnotout · 18/01/2009 23:01

Tree I love showing off my girls DD4 was a happy accident and now we have gone over the status quo of 2 or 3 we will probably end up with at least one more

treedelivery · 18/01/2009 23:07

5andnotout. Fab. May as well go 6 as apparently an even number works best. Twins!!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 18/01/2009 23:08

4 - that's such a lovely bum!! and lovely baby too!!

4andnotout · 18/01/2009 23:11

Dp's dad is a twin, and there are twins in my family too so you never know

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 18/01/2009 23:12

would love another one now (always said 2 more than enough), but really can't face another delivery and DP said he's getting too old . but all those lovely clothes and nappies...

4andnotout · 18/01/2009 23:15

Dp says that he is getting too old (44) but im only 26 so have years left in me for baby making!
