GENERAL CHAT THREAD FOR CLOTH NAPPY USERS - PART 3

1000 replies

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 30/10/2008 19:29

(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

OP posts:

Oh and I don't think the pink fleece lovable would be too great seeing as I have a boy. DP would have a fit!!

AnnVan · 29/11/2008 20:41

h and am I right in thinking the fleece goes on the inside? sorry if I'm being thick.

TheLadyEvenstar · 29/11/2008 21:33

The fleece on bumhuggers goes on the inside yes.

If you like them in large I have 2 for sale in large or is it 3 lol i can't remember!

AnnVan - The fleece goes on the inside for both of the nappies hun so no one will be any the wiser if your little man is wearing pink . How much does he weigh now, I'm sure he's younger than my DD (10 weeks 5 days).

4andnotout · 29/11/2008 21:50

lolipop The other lady said to offer the weenotion to you, i wanted £10 delivered for it. If not no worries

rusmum · 29/11/2008 22:18

i have a ;arge hugger for sale £5 ?? need to clear space now (for xmas) ANYONE want anything???? esp prefolds lol

AnnVan · 29/11/2008 22:28

Lollipop - he's at 12lb 13oz as of wednesday. What date was your lo born? Seb was 16th September, so only just younger than your DD I think.

oopsacoconut · 30/11/2008 09:15

Rusmum - I am after something to stuff my pockets with, can I use prefolds? If so let me know how many you have and what you want for them.

rusmum · 30/11/2008 10:51

prefolds are good for stuffing and adding as extra boosting! Have lots of Nb and small which prob best!

?? make me an offer what you think they worth. ta JO

lollipopmother · 30/11/2008 11:45

4andnotout - What condition is it in, are there any stains on the outside? If there aren't then YES PLEASE!! Email me on lorwiggins at yahoo dot co dot uk so that we can discuss further.

AnnVan - Elizabeth was born on the 15th, your little man must be quite a different shape to her as they're not too much different in weight but I think the bumhugger looks quite big on her, certainly around the legs because I still get poo leaks , but I think this is mainly because of the way the frills sit on her legs.

AnnVan · 30/11/2008 12:22

Lollipop - Little man is a tall boy, so I think that's why it looks so small. The fluffles I have look small on him as well, and tbh I don't think I'm going to be able to use them much longer. THe small teddies and sandy's both look fine on him though, think he'll be able to wear those for a little while. I might give the lovable a couple more goes, and then send both nappies back to you together if that's ok?
Evenstar are your large huggas old or new style?

lollipopmother · 30/11/2008 13:43

AnnVan - No rush with the nappies so try them a couple of times to get a good feel. Elizabeth is quite tall too, there's a boy at her Water Babies class that is 5 months and she's longer in the body and longer in the leg as well, he looks titchy! Sebastian must be super-tall though because I can't even entertain the idea of putting her into a S Sandy's yet, they're still much too big for her. I think Sandy's must be quite a generous cut though because I have other S nappies that fit fine.

4andnotout - I've replied to your email, getting rather excited!

BBM - If you're about, have you received the Kiwis?

oopsacoconut · 30/11/2008 16:34

Rusmum - I have no idea what they are worth - give us a clue on what you would want for them.

Essie3 · 30/11/2008 18:17

Ok folks, trialling the Tots Bots I got from TKMaxx today - they're nippa fastening. Seem pretty good!

Where can I get more nippas? Mothercare?? Or does anyone have any lying around? It's just that p&p is the same as the price of the nippas themselves! Come to that, how many would I need?

rusmum · 30/11/2008 22:27

i have been banned from UKPL what all that about????

treedelivery · 30/11/2008 22:28

Hi everyone!!

I have a question about dry pailing, but looking through the posts looks like there is some serious nappy bartering going on here so I realise you may all be busy doing swapsies and deals.

We should go into hedge funds!

SO - who is using lavender and who teatree and who nothing at all to deal with any pongs?

And where can these oils be got cheap?

treedelivery · 30/11/2008 22:34

Russmum - would need a large sling, am a big bird. Sorry.

rusmum · 30/11/2008 22:37

sling sold this morning!! Any idea why i been banned?? And ANYONE want my sandys>???????

LOL

treedelivery · 30/11/2008 22:44

I probably will in Feb, but can't buy anymore now

No doubt will kick self!

Congrats on selling sling.

4andnotout · 30/11/2008 22:49

tree i have a large sling for sale
I use tea tree in my bucket (on a sani pad stuck in the lid) and my nan buys it for me from the local health food shop for 99p a bottle.

TheLadyEvenstar · 30/11/2008 22:55

AnnVan, the new ones are with the booster that folds out yes?

If so mine are the old ones. With the fleece inside.

BUMHUGGERS

AnnVan · 30/11/2008 23:14

Tree - you can get tea tree il at mothercare but I don't know how much they charge - probably isn't cheap knowing them.
Rusmum I honestly would take your Sandy's but DP not keen on second hand nappies. So no go from me, sadly.
Lollipop - I have little man in his 3-6 month babygrows now. His 0-3 outfits still fit, but not for much longer I think, they're getting a little short in the leg now, so MUST go shopping for some 3-6 clothes.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/12/2008 08:01

rusmum: regarding UKPL, obviously I don't know for sure, but it could well be because of placing the same for sale ads over & over again in a very short space of time. I think they probably have rules about not repeating the same ad more than once every 1-2 weeks.

AnnVan · 01/12/2008 08:25

Sorry to be ignorant, but what is UKPL?

babyjjbaby · 01/12/2008 08:28
