(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

45 mins is a triumph! Wait till I tell my mum.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 19:52

Tree is it? I am just so pleased with myself lol sad i know....

How long does it take your mum then?

and does she have any patterns? I made the pattern for this one from an old nappy and changed it a bit as i went along.

babyjjbaby · 26/11/2008 20:00

DS is 6 and 1/2 months, and I last got him weighed about three weeks ago, when he was just under 16lbs. We use terry squares in the day and Bumbles at night.
Good to see new people signing on! I'm a bit quiet on here, as I'm not buying any more nappies for now, but still keep an eye on the discussion.

BBM sounds like your DS is ready to get stuck in! With him being mobile so early, commando crawling etc. it sounds to me like he burnt off his fat store a bit early is all.

xx

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 20:14

BBM - bless him!! He'll be commando crawling to the fridge! dd1 didn't crawl till about 9 months I think!

The Lady - poor mum hasn't started yet. In fairness she's just made 4 roman blinds and some 18ft wide curtains in silk for my new house! Still, if the machine is out she may as well crack on

I think 45 mins is quick. If you think what that would cost you to buy, 45 mins to save £6 to £12 depending on brand! No patterns as yet - waiting to see bubba's vital stats!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 26/11/2008 20:15

TheLadyEvenstar: yay, well done! You've done really well. And time is good too. You should be proud of yourself!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 20:15

Tree,Zachary is 14m I just tried to get a photo of him in the nappy i made lol but he won't stay still!

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 20:17

Rachel, I am sooo sooo sooo proud lol sad of me i know! But i am now going to go and buy diff fleeces to make some more.

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 20:24

D'yknow, just been told off by a lady on the Used Nappy website cos I did the paypal thing wrong, and she was 99p out of pocket plus 30p paypal costs.

I replied straight away, offered the difference plus costs of course.

1st bad nappy karma!

Hope it's no one here - for some bambino mio prefolds? If it am really sorry! Runs and pukes have affected whatever brain the bubs hasn't already eaten.

Oooo feel all hot and bothered! Was honest mistake - I don't want to rip anyone off for their nappies! Only good vibes on my baby's bum!

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 20:27

Get pic TheLadyEvenstar!!

Good source of fleece - cheap cheap dressing gowns from Primark. My white with blue spots has had it! Think it was £6.

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 20:27

Tree I could have sold you some bambino mios still in packet, i only used 2

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 20:28

Tree, i fell in love with the camo fleece and it wasn't too dear either...

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 20:30

It's a whole new world of shopping! So so cute.

BigBadMouse · 26/11/2008 20:41

tree Yes they develop the attitude when they start school. DD1 was such an angel until she started pt in Sept . I could gladly eBay her . Yes he is BF - started off on just above the 75th now on the 2nd centile and has been stuck at under 15lbs for 2 months now - at least he is getting the most out of his Size 1 Sandy's .

evenstar looks cool - far far better than my errrr.....attempt 2 yrs ago which ended up looking like a tortured rabbit

wastingmyedu - I'm sure that is what he did. My DD2 was the same as DS with regards to mobility and weight whereas DD1 didn't ever crawl and only started walking at 19m - she followed the line pretty well. He's almost properly crawling now and sitting up too I want my newborn back - he stayed where he was put and didn't crawl around my bed at 4am in the morning biting my boobs every time he passed by them as if I'm some sort of snack bar (I blame myself for this behaviour - up until 2.30am I thought it was cute )

babyjjbaby · 26/11/2008 20:42

any1 got boosters for sale and motherease small or medium rikki

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 21:10

BigBadMouse - I get ds at about the -2 from birthweight centile, about 25th centile, for a breastfed baby on th WHO growth charts. Not saying he isn't ready to wean or anything - but at lest comparing like with like on the feeding front. Deffo well above 2nd, 3rd and 10th at anyrate.

Hope you don't mind me looking him up on the chart - but those red books are a bit of a thing with me!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 26/11/2008 21:13

babyjjbaby: I have a white medium Rikki wrap, white with blue stitching. Any use? Could do it for 3 pounds posted.

Or 2 medium Proraps, both for 3 pounds posted.

Or even, I have a small Cotton Bottoms wrap, basically brand new (maybe used once), blue with space theme. As well as size 1 Little Lamb wrap, also brand new (or maybe used once). Could do these at 3 pounds each, or both for a fiver.

Or could even do you a deal on a different combination of any of the above! :-) Tho of course the first one listed is the only thing you precisely asked about! LOL But trying to clear out stuff that's not being used/prob won't be used, as I'm running out of space! lol

babyjjbaby · 26/11/2008 21:16

hi yeh the white one would be fab can pay u in the mornign cos i am going to get lil man ready for bed and then i am having a early night

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/11/2008 21:22

tree - glad you're home, I just hate hospitals..

DS is 4.4 - with teenage attitude too (slamming doors, "I don't like you" etc), soo glad he's back to school tomorrow after a week off sick!!! he's still in pull-ups at night (disposables as I always think "this is the last pack I buy" but after 2 years I wished I'd bought some reusables...)
DD is going to be 12 weeks on Friday. she's on Sandy's (bamboo), lovables and ella's house with ME Airflow during the day, with pop-ins for outings/tighter-fitting clothes and when all the rest are drying/dirty (trying to get the most out of my size 1 nappies to justify the money!), wonderoo at night and trying hip hip baby real easy too (and desperately looking for 2nd hand bumhuggers and wool wrap too). I also use squares occasionally.

BBM - LOL at DS!! he'll probably be sat at the table with his turkey drumstick in his hand at Xmas!! ( at the lack of spilt food as DS can be sooooooo messy)

Lady - well done! I know the feeling, I made a lovable a couple of weeks ago, and though it looks so shabby (had to do it in about 15 mins as that's all the time DD "allowed" me) I feel so proud of myself everytime I look at it!

And I think my postman is getting suspicios - I've been receiving at least a parcel a week since august... all napppies and a couple of slings!! but it's like receiving a xmas present! stupid, I've actually paid for it, but as soon as I see the postman I'm waiting behind the door...

TheLadyEvenstar · 26/11/2008 21:26

Sunflower lol @ ds.....just to tell you IT GETS WORSE!!!!!
I have a 10yr old as well as a 14m old

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 21:34

About to put a general cry out for a nature babies medium limited edition flowery wrap in any print - meadow, daisy, conflower or blue rose.

Maybe someone on our thread has one?

treedelivery · 26/11/2008 21:36

Anyone want to trade a 4 year old for any old nappy you have lying about?

4andnotout · 26/11/2008 21:37

My dd1 is 7 and she is sooo much easier than dd2 who is 3, im sure they mixed up babies in the hospital as dd's 1,3&4 are all calm and then dd2 is like the missing link!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 26/11/2008 21:49

babyjjbaby: the white Rikki wrap, right? That would be great. Paypal to [email protected] and can send out to you on Friday.

4andnotout: Just to let you know the large girly embroidery wrap is still available. So, if you're still wanting to buy it tomorrow, it's yours. xx

rusmum · 26/11/2008 22:02
