(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

BBM - I have emailed you - thanks for this. Thanks for that about the Huggles as well - the website did say that they are very bulky so I will take your advice and not waste money on them. Looks like the bumhuggers are the way to go then. WHat do you think of the Swaddlebees organic cotton velour nappies? THey look cute but GOD the price! more expensive than some pocket nappies.
What other nappies would you recommend an addict try out?

AnnVan · 23/11/2008 20:28

Oh and I think the FLuffles LOOK cute but the problem for me is the low rise. He's not going to be in them for much longer I think, and the waist is getting difficult to do up already as well. I love the look of the Sandy's though, they are drying from their prewash, so can't wait to try them.
What I'm considering doing (if I get on with the Sandy's) is getting rid of my bamboo nappies, and replacing them with Sandy's (I'm guessing the drying time will be similar) and then use them in conjunction with the Teddies.

lollipop - re pop-in - the trial pack (which includes the night booster) is normally around £15 inc delivery, cheapest I found was £13 but you need to spend over a certain amount to get free del, so I think the price isn't bad (if only used for 6 weeks with others than don;t think they'd been used that many times)

real-easy - like BBM impatient so trying tonight for the first half of the night after only one wash(hemp tongue so would need more washes, but she tends to do little wee or sometimes no wee btw 7 and 11 pm). but liking them, like a sized wonderoo, but having the two rows of poppers means that legs are snuggier than wonderoo and quite slim too. I'd assume quite thirsty as it's got a microfibre soaker plus hemp tongue, but that'll be tested after few washes...

I have three still in the bags they came in - would happily part with for a fiver each. And three gently pre-loved by one careful baby - would kiss them goodbye for four squid each. Plus postage...

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/11/2008 22:47

lol Rus OK errrrr £18 for the 4???? (calculating thats 3 tots lol and some change)

thebluefoxategreensocks · 24/11/2008 08:53

treedelivery: what size wraps are you looking for, and boy/girl ones? I have a brand new size small Cotton Bottoms wrap (possibly used once, but looks new), it's bright & colourful with space theme. Any use to you?

Or, I have a lovely size large mint green wrap, with poppers and similar shape to Mother Ease, but it Tiddlybums brand, and it's got a really beautiful flower embroidery on the back! It's in excellent, hardly worn condition. Really lovely but my daughter is potty trained and can't put it on my son!

wastingmyeducation · 24/11/2008 09:38

Yesterday, DH was changing a daytime nappy - terry square, and he exclaims 'Can't I use a Bumble?'
'No', says I, 'They are for night, we've only got a few.'
'I wish we'd bought all shaped to start with.' he replied.
'Grrrr...' Thinks I!
This is after he's been moaning about me buying nappies! I've got six Bumbles, and a total 52 squares, though half of those are Little Ewes that we use on the change mat and to prop DS up in highchair (waste of money...)
Oh and 24 muslins we used to start with.
At least I know I won't run out!
I was thinking at one point of selling some of the Little Ewes, but I can't think there would be much resale value?

xx

RinS - wrap with flowers sound lovely but in market for small at moment. Don't get to play with all this stuff till Jan when I'm due dd2.

Was utterly ill yesterday. mumsnet stoped me being too bored though! dd1 off with nanna this am so bed bed bed for me. Thank lord.

Quite enjoying taking my temp now and then though, it's quite interesting!

Lollipop - will email you this am. Sorry taking ages, decision making processes were fried yesterday.

rusmum - how lucky are you? Any car boot I ever went to just had razors and batteries for sale!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 24/11/2008 09:58

treedelivery: thinking of small wraps, I have a small Poochies brand wrap. It's got a soft cotton fabric outer with cute girly sort of print, waterproof in the middle, and fleece on the inside. It's also a similar shape to ME with poppers. Not sure if it would be to your taste or what you're looking for, but can get a photo of it if interested.

treedelivery · 24/11/2008 10:05

RinS - Oooo I'll look for it online save you uploading pic etc. Bit of a sucker for a cute colour/print. Newbie to nappies!!

If you all knew how excited I was about strawberry wraps I'm getting from lollipop you'd wonder about me!

I love this thread - it's jolly

treedelivery · 24/11/2008 10:17

Actually picture it is! Can't find a stockist in UK - banana babies is listed but it's closed for maternity leave.

Found American site that sells the pattern so we can all get sewing. Our direct our mum's to anyway.

My mum currently hunting Yorkshire for cheap Fleece for liners. Dressing Gowns etc are not safe, mine already hacked to pieces. Microfibre terry a pig to find. tut. Bamboo and hemp terry a fortune.

swampster · 24/11/2008 10:25

Sympathy please, washing machine packed up on WEDNESDAY! Waiting for repair man this afternoon... DS2 has been in disposables for days now.

4andnotout · 24/11/2008 10:45

rachelinscotland how much for your large wrap? Im bored with my hundreds of motherease airlows and have ditched nearly all my pockets except bg

treedelivery · 24/11/2008 10:46

Good grief nightmare. Family outing to launderette? Haven't been in one since a student, there might be a man there taking his clothes off.

Happens all time on the telly.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 24/11/2008 11:09

treedelivery: Here's photos of the Poochies wrap:
i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk108/rachins_photos/nappy12.jpg
i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk108/rachins_photos/nappy13.jpg

The print is cute little animals dressed up and peeking out/waving from windows (or something like that) and also says "Happy Days" on it. Thinking of say 4 pounds for it including postage, does that sound OK?

4andnotout: Thinking of 5.50 pounds for the large wrap with flower embroidery, as it's really a lovely wrap, and nearly new condition. Here's photo of it:
i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk108/rachins_photos/nappy14.jpg

Let me know if either are interested, or say if you think prices aren't fair! Can take Paypal and post them today too! xx
