GENERAL CHAT THREAD FOR CLOTH NAPPY USERS - PART 3

1000 replies

(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

just a quickie - those fold out flaps in tots bots.. what they all about???? how come are longer than nappy?????

Anyone want 2 white size 1 bamboozles?????

tots too low in rise for me.

also BBM is napisan so evil ?? as sandys still greyish- will it spoil them?????

ilovemydogandPresidentObama · 14/11/2008 10:54

rusmum if you are going to use Napisan, try it on one nappy, and mark it somehow. My DD got a very bad reaction once when the mil used napisan. It took ages to get rid of the irritant in the nappies and I thought I was going to have to dump all of them. (and the sheets which mil decided needed to be pristine )

matnan - what a brilliant idea! Clear wraps. Send Motherease an email suggesting it! I am thinking see through wraps like little clear umbrellas! I love the colors and don't care about the practicalities either!

babyjjbaby · 14/11/2008 12:06

yep i think clear wraps would be fab

rusmum TB are too low rise for my lot too - builder's bum galore .

tbh I don't really know why people dislkie Napisan so much hereis the product info for it, it's no worse than some conventional washing powders. If I ever use any sanitiser I use One Life mainly because I get it free but also because it is better for the environment than Napisan - a bit like using ecover instead of cillit bang . In theory the one life won't get your nappies any whiter though, whereas the Napisan should.

No vote for a clear wrap from me thanks - DS has been wearing Pink Lollipop Bamboos for the past few days

rusmum · 14/11/2008 14:44

lol
now have 5 teddies
2 bamboozles
20 sandys
1 kissaluv and 2 ellas house

getting the hang of this lark!! LOL

This doesnt include all stuff i selling...
BBM what else should i try??????

AnnVan · 14/11/2008 15:03

Tots are a bit too low for seb - makes them look like they're too small for him. spoke to babykind agent just now - she's going to try find out if the coloured sandy's will be coming across the pond soon.

MatNanPlus · 14/11/2008 19:49

Wonder if the clear wrap might 'steam' up?

I use Napisan on the stained prefoldds and bibs, works fab, i do a long wash and little powder and no issues.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 14/11/2008 20:35

poo stains might be visible too... still, don't care, I want a colour sandy's...

AnnVan · 14/11/2008 21:28

Well fear not sunflower local agent is on the case. one thing she did suggest is dying them, she said she knows mums who do this

AIBU? MIL looked after the kids (DD 2 years and DS 8 months) and didn't change either of their nappies!

Major poo pants in both and DS has a sore bum, which he has never had before, so am wondering how long it was left on!!!

I left out Bum Genius as she finds the nappy/wrap thing puzzling. I even went through it with her before I left.

Should I be annoyed or just be glad they are alive and not sweat the little stuff?

Would post this in AIBU, but need the perspective of 'reusable people'
