heartmum2jamie - thanks DS was 8lb 2 when he was born and went straight into cloth easily. He is very tolerant so makes a good model - the plan is to write a decent unbiased cloth guide and sell on ebay with the proceeds going to charity (hence the photos) but I need to get my act together. My previous two were sub 7lbers so he was a bit of a surprise!
I'm always happy to chat to anyone about F1 - was very at the spa outcome (stupid stewards) and I'm not even a Lewis supporter. We went to silverstone last year -was fab (apart from the result ).

LackaDAISYcal · 09/09/2008 20:31

evening all.

I'm thinking about signing up as a Lollipop advisor. Does anyone have any experience of them, or have done it themselves? Apparently they don't have any adivsors locally to me so it could be a good business opportunity.

DDs bum has flared up again . This in spite of eco nappies, and only water or emollient cream going anywhere near her bum (and a bit of daktacort). I hate this; whatever we try starts working fine, and just as it's almost clear, it starts getitng worse again. Not sure what to try next.

Oh and my DH is probably going to be offered a job locally, so no more travelling to Lincolnshire for half the week . He has to atttend a second interview on Friday, but they aren't interviewing any more candidates and it would seem that it's just a formality.

And DS had an eye test today and they have discovered that he is colourblind, and due to the way the chromosone defect works.....passed on by me . I'm now doing some detective work in my family to find out whether it's from my mum or dad's side of the family. DS is worried that he won't ever be able to be a fighter pilot and spent half an hour in tears about it, bless him....in spite of the fact that he has never even mentioned fighter pilot as career choice before,

BigBadMousey · 09/09/2008 20:43
  • poor 'fighter pilot DS' bless him and poor DDs bottom. I know a few Lollipop advisors and have thought about going down that route myself (but haven't yet). I also know a few people who have used their services and I know their own brand nappies quite well - what do you want to know? Octo is the Lollipop 'big cheese' on MN btw...

I'll hunt octo down then and pick her brains

Am off to bed; very bad night, busy day and a cold brewing....nice!

Awww Daisy poor DS - worse he's probably right, you have to have perfect eyesight to be a pilot in the RAF! How old is he??

Hi
Im Sophie and im a nappy addict!
I have dd3 who is 11 months and expecting dd4 to arrive in october. We have far too many nappies and im still looking at others! Thinking of spending my council cashback on some flexi tots, although we mainly use pockets during the day i think these would be a very reliable alternative.

Hi knickers, no my net wont be back up and running till monday but im at my parents. I think i may have a few hundred airflows in small and medium! If i do go for some flexitots i may chance the new tots wraps as they are supposed to be much better. Have you decided on a name for ds yet? We are going for Tallulah-Belle we think.

lljkk · 10/09/2008 19:20

I used same nappies& folds for boys & girls, no problem. Girls wee more in front, boys more in the middle (IMO), so adjust boosters accordingly.

I wash in Bio (& colour, which is also Bio) with impunity.

Can't believe I didnt see this thread until now(!)

Is there a nappy-aholics annonymous??? I just successfully on and won 7 totbots aplix, 5 bamboozles, 2 cotton in size 1 for £20 . I really, REALLY must stop looking at/buying nappies. I think an even 50 is a good place to stop now until I get my council incentive/cashback

It was an auction on usednappies.com. I am shocked I got them as there was a fair bit of interest too. I bid at the last minute, like I have a tendancy to do, lol!

This was the link, www.usednappies.co.uk/23544,auction_id,auction_details but she doesn't have anything else for sale (shame on me, I have looked!)

How's this for dedication?

Had to do a training course in London. Managed to get DS a nursery place for 3 days in London (where they use resusables .

Managed with Bum Genius for 3 days and disposables did not come near the DS bottom!

Massive amount of washing though now back at home!

Sorry KOMH!!! If I had seen it earlier, I would have posted the link here, I swear! I literally stumbled across it in the last 5 minutes, talk about impulse buy! I will see if I can find any more bargains to share!

Wow ilovemydog, that is fantastic! Well done, definately great dedication!

Thanks BBM {{{{preens cloth nappies}}}}

Lacksydaisykal (sp) - I am no longer an advisor but do work for them occasionally and know alot about nappies - purplesal is the mn'er you need to chat to.

The one thing I can say about lollipop is that they are always looking at different nappies to stock and developing new products - lots of people say their range is limited but things have changed over the past few years and the support network is fantastic.

Good luck!

Heartmum2Jamie · 11/09/2008 09:44

Ohhhh, those wraps are cute, but the one on the right is a little girly for my son, lol! I must not looks at any more link, I must not look at any more links!!
