Sounds like a good plan .

We combine bamboo sandys and fuzzis for DS. The sandy's last a good while for lazy (mummy) days and the fuzzis are fab for going under some of his tighter fitting clothes (and flashing about on baby clinic days!). He's a very heavy wetter though so they need changing often.

KOMH do you find the dispies help the bad bum?

I have found the opposite, it seems to go quicker when she is in cloth and the overnight dispie smell is horrid compared to the cloth smell wees or poops.

KOMH, ime hemp can retain wee a lot more than other nappies, and it seems to build up quicker than in other nappies. I'd suggest stripping them and then trying again

Monday would be good, I think, but I need to be back home at 3 to pick DS up from school, so my time is a bit limited. email me daisybump at yahoo dot co dot uk . Unless DH is working from home and then he can do the school run, but he isn't sure yet.

Sorry, not caught up with other chat. Been busy giving the house a long overdue spring clean today. I now can't blardy move!

komh thanks for that link to your bargain. Now I have remembered I was after some of those too (at a convenient time too as DS is soon to be bursting out of his SM airflows)

Knickers - You lucky git, a whole sack of free nappies eh, I wonder what you'll get! I'm not sure whether that ad on MN is a bargain or not, it looks like it's reasonable to me, but I don't have any knowledge of that type of nappy.

There are some Fluffles on ebay, auction ends tomorrow morning but the price isn't too bad at the moment, these ones need a nippa.

Also, if there is anyone wanting to get hold of some cheap small or XS Sandy's, or ME wraps then this is the woman to go to - I put down an offer for 3 Sandy's at £3.75 each and she accepted, postage overall was £2.70 (recorded delivery) and they came the next day so really good service, and a bargain as I now have 3 brand new Sandy's for £13.95.

MatNanPlus · 09/09/2008 11:35

Ok,

Looking good KOMH, would love to know what is in your bundle open to offers and still need to sort out renumeration for last nappy!!!!

Ladies - we are soon to run out of paper liners, not that they really do much TBH as she has runny poop as does her 19mo brother so whether i use a liner or not, I have the same clean up/soaking of the nappy to do, would strips of fleece - am thinking of hemming along long edges to act as a dam - be better?

No really nappy rash but can get pink when pooped overnight?

Thoughts please, would be looking at a neutral colour, does fleece stain? she is a yellow/green/brown pooper on milk only.

Someone's the lucky one!
I've ordered some size1 fluffles as well but that is it now, no more nappies! (I still don't have a damn baby to put them on after all!)

Yes, I'm booked for induction this saturday. I'm not sure whether I'll go ahead with it though, I'm considering waiting a little longer in the hope that the little blighter will come out naturally. I'm just worrying that it's a vain hope though!

Nice KOMH and if your happy to wait AV and baby is content then no issues as far as i can see, the more i read of induction vs nature the more i side with the latter, intervention is great if there are issues like with Aitch but if all is well why tinker.

AnnVan · 09/09/2008 12:48

MNP - I think so too, I read so many stories of people who were induced and ended up with loads of intervention, because their bodies just weren't ready. On the other hand, having to deal with things like sicky acidic liquid coming up and getting into lungs is getting a trifle annoying.

MatNanPlus · 09/09/2008 12:49

True

lollipopmother · 09/09/2008 13:10

AnnVan - Come on then, how many Fluffles did you buy, and where from?! It's killing me not buying more as they are so lush, even my DP said they were his favourites!

Heartmum2Jamie · 09/09/2008 13:20

AnnVan, here's hoping that your body does what mine did when threatened with induction, I went into labour the day before!

KOMH, you are doing well with your freecycle stuff, you will have to let us know what is in the big black bag of nappies. I am well envious, although I did meet a fellow cloth nappy freecycler this morning. She was after size 2 nappies for her daughter and I had 3 sitting around (I know I will need them eventually, but need the smaller ones more right now). We swapped! 2 size 2 bambineo bamboo nappies and a fluffle for a little lamb size 1, a small fuzzi in blue and a drybee in turqouise. They are a little stained (good thing I understand that stained doesn't mean dirty), so hoping for some sun to get them on the line or may have to resort to a bit of bio powder. Oh and thatnature babies wrap is cute! I have the same pattern on a wet bag!
